"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement"
The place needs some updates. In the part where they take care of people with memory problems, it feels like our family member isn't getting much more help than when he was in another place that helps older people. But it costs a lot more here. They say there's a doctor you can call anytime, and there should always be a nurse around, but it doesn't feel that different. It looks like they're having trouble finding enough people to work, like most places are nowadays.

"Mixed Impressions on Autumn Cove Assisted Living"
I visited Autumn Cove in person, and it seemed like the best choice due to its proximity. However, our loved one preferred another community. Overall, the tour was good, and the marketing guy followed up with us. But during the second tour, the place didn't look as clean.

"Dad's Horrible Experience at Assisted Living"
My dad lived there and they treated him terribly. The stench on him and his room was unbearable. They still charged me the same price to clean his clothes, even after I washed them on my own. Definitely don't let your loved one stay there.

"Happy with Community, Eager for More Tours"
I really like this place. They've got a waitlist, but my mom's up next for a studio apartment. Big thanks! I'm definitely up for more tours.

"Amazing Care and Value at Autumn Cove"
I am super impressed with almost every part of my care this first month. I hope the second month goes just as smoothly. When you think about the cost, it might seem high at first. But look at it like I did. Start with the total price. Then subtract your rent or mortgage, all utilities including cable and phone (they provide landline and cable). Then subtract the cost of three balanced meals each day for a month. Have you reached zero yet? Now add up all those trips to the doctor, store, and joy rides—they provide that too. And so much more. Autumn Cove can’t be beat, and don’t forget to subtract your caregiver fee. Now for my drawbacks: everything can’t be perfect, but they fix things as soon as you report them.

"Didn’t offer the services we needed"
Autumn Cover was really nice. They don’t do laundry, so my parents decided not to go with it. It’s still a good place to consider.

"Autumn Cove is clean, friendly, and full of activities!!"
At Autumn Cove, the community and grounds are very clean and well-kept. The staff is always ready to help and answer questions. They have lots of activities every day, and my mom has joined many of them. The food is healthy, tasty, and there are plenty of options to choose from.

"Highly recommend this community!"
My brother is doing great at this community. I haven't tried the food myself, and sadly, my brother isn't eating much, so I can't comment on it. The staff is super friendly and always makes sure he's comfortable. They have lots of activities, but he's not able to join in. I've already recommended this place to others.

"It feels like home"
Finding a safe, caring, and happy place for Mom was our top priority. From the moment we arrived at Autumn Cove, we were impressed. Every staff member, from the Director to the kitchen staff, has been kind and attentive. The building and grounds remind us of a nice resort. Mom has already made friends, and the residents are some of the kindest and most fun people you’ll ever meet. Autumn Cove has exceeded our expectations in every way. Residents who have been here for years speak highly of the care they receive, and it truly feels like their home, not just "a" home.

""Autumn Cove's Unfair Treatment of Dementia-afflicted Veteran""
My grandad, a proud two-time vet with advanced dementia, got a really lousy deal at Autumn Cove. When I tried to chat with the head lady about getting him better care, she was super harsh. All she cared about was squeezing more money out of us, charging me bucks for tiny bottles of simple stuff like aspirin and Milk of Magnesia. I offered to get it myself, but she said I had to buy from them and didn't even ask me before reordering. She tacked on an extra $35 every month saying it was for daily laundry, claiming the state made her do it. There aren't any rules about that, and his laundry wasn't being washed daily anyway. You could smell his room from down the hallway. When I finally investigated, I found his sheets were soiled—they had stopped giving him daily baths.

"Terrible Elder Care and Scamming at Autumn Cove: Avoid At All Costs"
My dad, a brave veteran suffering from severe dementia, got terrible treatment from the workers at Autumn Cove. The boss was mean to me when I tried asking her to give my dad kind and patient care. All she cared about was how to sneak in extra charges in his monthly statement—$10 for over-the-counter items like aspirin and Milk of Magnesia. I told her I would buy whatever he needed but she kept forcing me to buy from them without my okay. Not only that, she tacked on another $35 a month to wash his clothes daily, which she claimed was a state rule. But there's no such rule, and they weren't even washing his clothes every day. His room always smelled bad. One time I found his sheets dirty from waste because they hadn't been washed. They didn't even give him daily baths.

"Review of Autumn Cove Assisted Living - Anniston, AL"
Autumn Cove Assisted Living is an excellent place for our mom. The staff is so caring and treats her like part of their family. The meals are really good and have lots of variety. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept. Even the foyer and outside are always being updated so they never look dull. The owner is wonderful, and we couldn’t be happier!

"Autumn Cove is a great choice!"
I am really happy living at Autumn Cove. I lived in Sylacauga, AL, for many years. I couldn't live alone anymore, and this place is close to my daughter. I’m thankful my son-in-law discovered it.

"Autumn Cove: A Wonderful New Home for Grandma"
We are so happy to call Autumn Cove our Grandma’s new home. They made moving her from a big house to a small apartment so much easier. It’s been great for her to make new friends and be closer to us. She can join bible studies, listen to live music, enjoy three meals a day, go on field trips, and more. It’s a relief knowing she is cared for 24/7 by a loving staff and nurses. They have treated us like family the whole time. I’m thankful for such a caring place in our community. I would recommend Autumn Cove to any family.

"Grateful for Autumn Cove's Loving Care for Our Daddy!"
Thank you, Autumn Cove, for taking care of our dad for the last 9 and a half years. He really loved the people who made his life enjoyable when he could no longer take care of himself.

"Unbearable Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"
This establishment made numerous promises to care for my father. On more than three occasions, I found him alone in his dark room, sitting in his own urine. The majority of the food consisted of low-cost, deep-fried meals, which caused unpleasant reactions for my father who suffers from dementia. Despite numerous discussions with the nursing staff, the administrators, and even the owner, these conditions persisted. I was ultimately forced to relocate him due to the increasing negativity. I tried to speak with his primary physician, but he was never available. This facility is deplorable.

"Perfect Place for Mom: Beautiful, Friendly, and Welcoming"
When my mom fell on Thanksgiving and had to recover for months, we talked about changing her living arrangements. We considered assisted living and looked at the pros and cons. We got to visit, tour, and eat at Autumn Cove. We were impressed by the nice facility, the beautiful grounds, the fancy dining area, and the friendly, skilled, and caring staff. Many of her old friends were already living there, and we met new people with similar interests. Mom got to “try out” a furnished apartment and then chose her own, which we decorated with her furniture. She feels “at home” here and stays very busy. The staff, facility, and grounds at Autumn Cove are wonderful in every way, just like my mom. How perfect is that!

"Repeated Broken Contracts and Unwarranted Costs at Assisted Living"
This place has broken our agreement again and again, always attempting to make us pay for things they claim are required by assisted living rules. When I double-check with the state, they say it's not true. This place is awful. You shouldn't endorse it. To put our beloved family member there was a huge mistake, and having to fight for his rights and money every month, and sometimes even more often, is just heartbreaking.

"Autumn Cove Charges More, Ignores Questions and Needs"
We picked Autumn Cove thanks to its spot, and even though the fees were steep at first, they seemed fair. But we've found Autumn Cove usually doesn't stick to their given prices. They offer to do a small laundry load for $12.50, capping at $60 a week, but we ended up paying more than $60 for this service. We also had some special needs and questions, but the staff here didn't respond. It feels like we're getting ripped off and that doesn't feel good.
