"Great Atmosphere, Caring Staff – Recommended Assisted Living Facility"
Our family member stayed at The Pearl of the Shoals briefly before going for rehab. We hope she gets better soon and can return because our experience has been really good. We love how happy the atmosphere is throughout the community. When you arrive and even when you leave, it just feels nice. The man who helped move our loved one in has left for mission work, and we're sad because he was so wonderful. Based on our experience, we would tell other families to consider The Pearl of the Shoals.

"Pleasant Tour of Assisted Living Community"
We had a nice visit to this place. The lady who gave us the tour was really nice. The community looked good, and everything seemed well taken care of. The staff we met were friendly, and they answered our questions. It was a good experience, but we didn't feel it was right for my mom and what she needs.

"Nice People, Mixed Impressions of Dementia Unit"
I went to the open house, and the people were very nice. I enjoyed talking to the residents. The front area was very nice and clean. But when we went to the back where my Dad would be (the Dementia unit), it seemed like a big drop in quality. It was dark, and the clients were all sitting around one TV in the main room. The bedrooms were very small, and the shared area didn't feel very "homey." The shared bathroom felt kind of "cold." This was just a quick look around! I didn't see the whole place. I would visit again before deciding.

"Good Visit, But Pricey and Far"
I visited this place and it was pretty good. I wish it was closer to where I live. The place was neat and tidy. The person who showed me around knew a lot and explained the forms well. But, I didn't like that it cost so much.

"Lovely place, but medication costs added up."
We loved Brookdale Shoals! The grounds were beautiful, and it felt very welcoming. The location was great, close to home and family. The price was reasonable, but adding medication administration cost an extra $500 a month, which made it too expensive for us.

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living Community"
This community caught our eye when we were thinking about moving my mother. Everything looked nice and clean, and the staff was friendly. The only drawback was the location—it was a bit far for us. Overall, it’s a nice community.

"Nice place, but schedule wasn't flexible enough"
I thought Wellington Place was pretty nice overall, but it didn't really work for me. The people were really nice, and the facility was always clean and tidy. However, they didn't do a good job of accommodating people who weren't on their schedule. I usually stayed up late at night, but they would wake me up early for breakfast, and I couldn't go back to sleep after that.
