"Mom's Happy Home Needs More Activities"
It's a small place, easy to get around since it's all on one floor. My mom loves it there. The activities could be better though. They're trying to make it better, but so far, there aren't any activities available.

"Great Place with Good Food and Activities"
I would tell others that no place is perfect, but Columbia Cottage does a really good job making it nice here. It’s a smaller community, and they have some activities for the residents. My loved one enjoys the food. The biggest meal is lunch.

"Friendly Place, But Too Small for Independent Living"
This place seemed pretty nice, and the folks I met were kind. The living spaces they showed us were too tiny for my mom and dad though. This spot is really meant for people who need help with daily stuff, but we were on the lookout for a place where my parents can do their own thing.

"Warm Staff, Decent Stay"
I picked Mt Brook Columbia Cottage for my mom after she needed help post a fall. I stayed for 2 weeks and found the staff really friendly.

"Potential Choice for Loved Ones: Friendly Staff, Clean Environment, No Availability"
We visited this community when exploring care for a family member. It looked nice and was a place we might have chosen! The people we met were nice, and the place was neat and tidy. But when we looked, they didn’t have any rooms available.

"Happy with Columbia Cottage's Supportive Care"
We're happy with Columbia Cottage so far. Mom hasn't been there even a month, so we're not sure about the cost yet. She broke her hip just before moving in! The folks at the Cottage were super helpful and got her moved in despite her hip problem. They've had to help her a lot more than we thought, but they're doing a good job for the most part.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"
They were really caring and loving to my mom. They did a great job taking care of her. The food was excellent, definitely a five-star. I liked that it was a smaller community. Overall, I thought the cost for the care was fair. However, there were a couple of things about the business that bothered me. When we left, they charged a lot for filling in nail holes and cleaning the carpets. Also, the pharmacy service they used was a bit confusing. Every time my mom went in and out of the hospital, they stopped and started her medications, which meant paying more co-pays. My pharmacy bills were almost double because of this. I wish they had explained that better from the start. These are the kinds of extra costs and surprises families need to know about. Despite these issues, they really did take great care of my mom, and overall, it was a decent experience.
