"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The food's never warm or as listed, disappointing and cold. Mother missed showers, laundry, and room cleaning in a week. Her meds were skipped and not given for a week, concerning. Staff don't accommodate vision impairment, neglecting activities and explanations. TV freezes often, only one can fix, leaving her stranded.

"Mother Thriving in Assisted Living Near Home"
My mom is doing much better since she moved there. It's really close to my house, so I can visit often. She's made friends there, and I think she'll keep improving.

"Mixed Feelings at Assisted Living Facility"
It's okay, but there might be better options out there. The place seems nice during visits, but the staff doesn't seem to care much about the residents. They need better training and less phone time.

"Mixed feelings on cleanliness and activities, but affordable and tierless."
We're unsure about cleanliness and activity variety. Affordable, no care tiers.

"Decent Facility, Needs More Fun Activities"
I’m kind of on the fence about this place; it’s alright. There have been a few times when I wasn’t happy with what was going on. The person in my family staying there isn’t sure if they like it either. What worries me the most is that there aren’t enough fun things for them to do.

"Caring Staff and Good Food at Assisted Living"
This place is pretty nice. They take care of people well here. I know my family member is safe. The nurses look after them all the time and help us not worry so much about taking care of them. The people who work here talk to us a lot. They ask us things and tell us if there’s something we need to know. Everyone gets three meals every day. The food looks tasty from what I’ve seen.

"Busy but Good Care at Assisted Living"
They don't have a lot of activities since they're always busy. But they do take good care of you overall.

"Great care, clean facility, and affordable more activities needed"
Country Cottage has been amazing. The place is always clean, and the staff is fantastic. It’s really affordable too, as they offer one price for all care, with no extra charges. The staff keeps in touch a lot through text and email, which I really appreciate. My family member loves the food and is very happy living there. One thing that could be better is having more activities.

"Assisted Living Tour Felt Claustrophobic, Lacked Stimulating Environment"
Our family visited the assisted living place in person. The tour was okay, but it felt really cramped. There wasn't any outdoor area or courtyard, and it wasn't exciting at all.

"Wonderful community with great staff and flexible visiting options."
This is one of the best places I've ever been or worked with. I've worked with several communities recently. The staff made it a great experience. They would make changes to allow visits with your loved one. The community also allowed virtual visits.

"Great care and activities make this community highly recommended"
We really like this community for taking good care of my mom. The staff is attentive and caring, and the place is always clean, which is important for us. The meals are okay, but they serve the bigger ones at lunch instead of dinner, and we think there should be more variety. On the plus side, there are lots of activities she enjoys, including trips outside the community. They also take care of personal needs like haircuts. My mom loves movie nights and playing card games. We definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for great care for a loved one.

"Well-Lit and Updated Facility with Room for Improvement"
My dad feels comfortable in his new living place and has adjusted smoothly. He likes the food, and the chef ensures balanced, nutritious meals for everyone. The facility is well-lit, clean, and frequently updated. However, they could improve how often the aides care for my father.

"False Promises & Unprofessional, Poor Alzheimer's Care"
My advice is, don't trust their promises. They say that either party can end the contract with 30 days notice if things aren't working out. But after just one incident, they wouldn't let my husband return. They claim to be experts in taking care of Alzheimer's patients, but that's far from the truth. My husband isn't aggressive or rude, yet they couldn't handle him. I wouldn't tell anyone to use their services.

"They broke contract and rejected my non-violent Alzheimer's husband!"
You can't trust their promises here. They say their contract goes both ways, implying they need a 30-day notice if things are not going well. But after just one mishap, they refused to let my husband return. Though they claim to be experts in caring for those with Alzheimer's, they abandoned him even though he was never violent, disrespectful or unruly. I strongly advice against considering this place for anyone's loved ones.

"Great staff, comfortable living, but food needs improvement"
My loved one feels very comfortable in his new home. The staff have been great and attentive. He did say the food could be better. The meats lack flavor, and the dinners need more fresh fruit and vegetables. Overall, I'm happy with the care they provide and don't have any complaints.

""Friendly Staff, Healthy Food, and Loads of Activities!""
The caregivers at this place are really nice to my family member. They always serve healthy meals and my family member loves the food. There's also a lot of different things for everyone to do, like exercise stuff. They even let him go outside or walk around the building when he wants to.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Room for Food Improvement"
The staff here interacts well with the residents. My grandmother and I find the place clean enough. She really enjoys the church service they have here. The only downside for her is the food. She wishes there were more choices and that it tasted better. Despite that, it's a nice place overall, and we would suggest it to others.

"Clean, Friendly, and Convenient!"
I really like this place! It’s super convenient for the residents because they have doctors right here. The whole place is so clean, and it makes me really happy. We picked this place because the staff is super friendly. They answered all my questions and even helped me when I didn’t know what to ask. Plus, they have a van to take my loved one wherever she needs to go.

"Caring Staff Made Our Stay at Country Cottage Great"
I was really happy with Country Cottage. Even though my wife fell and broke her hip and isn't there anymore, it wasn't their fault it just happened. We were very satisfied with our time there. The staff was really caring and always available.

"Very Positive Experience"
We have had a very positive experience with Country Cottage. On the first day, they were extraordinary. The move to dementia assisted living was really hard for my father, and it was tough on us too. The professional staff went above and beyond to make him feel at home and to comfort us. While the staff has always been available to answer our questions and concerns, especially in the first weeks, it would be nice if they could proactively communicate with us about Dad's status or any upcoming billing changes. I know this would be hard because each resident's situation is unique, but it might be worth considering. This would help families understand better where they might be able to provide more day-to-day help.

"Middle of the Road: Expensive but Comfortable Facility"
Even though it costs a lot, it's not too bad. We've seen some nice staff there. We've run into a few small problems. The place is kept neat and tidy. My family member hasn't been there very long, but so far, things are alright. I'm giving it 3 stars because it's just average. It's not the greatest, but my family member feels at home. They've started to make friends with the other folks who live there.

"Great service and welcoming staff, more activities needed"
We’re very happy with the service here! They welcome new residents warmly, introduce them to everyone, and help them get comfortable. The caregivers are friendly and attentive. One thing to improve would be having more activities. They have some, but more frequent ones would be better.

"No complaints, sweet and caring staff"
I don't really have any complaints. The staff was very sweet and kind. They cared about her, and she loved being there. The food was okay—maybe a three out of five. They had snacks and everything she ever needed. It was smaller than another place we looked at, with only 16 beds, but it had a cozy, homey feel and a small living area. The ladies there looked out for each other. I would definitely recommend it. There were only women there, which made us feel more comfortable.
