"Assisted Living Mix-Up: Hospital Calls Went Awry"
Sometimes, the assisted living place didn't have enough staff. Once, our family member fell and went to the hospital. But guess what? They called my wife's work number at her college instead of our home or cell numbers! We only found out about the hospital from a rehab doctor who called us to ask how we wanted to take care of our family member.

"Good Facility with Room for Improvement"
The food here tastes good, and the chef does a great job, but they need to work on how they serve it to people who have trouble remembering things. They have activities every month, but it would be nice to have more. Overall, they’re doing a really good job. The place looks good, and they’re making it even better. I feel good knowing my family member is safe here, and the place is always clean. They’re really good at letting me know what’s going on.

"Great food and fun activities for residents"
The food here is much better than at the nursing home. The food is good. My loved one enjoys the activities. There are events for holidays where friends and family can join. The entertainment and food were good for Friendsgiving. I'm glad my loved one is at HarborChase.

"Mixed Feelings About HarborChase"
HarborChase of Huntsville had a few things that made us think twice. First, the location wasn’t what we preferred. It wasn’t exactly downtown, but it was surrounded by the city and close to the hospital. Second, they were renovating the building, so I couldn’t see the final result. Lastly, they were the most expensive option among the places I considered.

"Distance and Cost Concerns at Harborchase of Huntsville"
Harborchase of Huntsville was really good. I especially liked the staff we met, especially David. They took us out to lunch, and the food was nice. The facility itself was nice too. But it’s a bit far from our family, so it’s not easy to visit. Also, it’s more expensive than we expected.

"Warm Holiday Dinners and Caring Staff Make Loved Ones Happy"
We don't know much about the activities since we can't visit during the week, but they hosted lovely Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Our loved one's lead caregiver is very nice and always ensures we can contact our loved one.

"Great visit with friendly staff and mask protocols observed"
I visited my mom today at 2:30 pm. The receptionist was very nice and asked us to wear masks, which we did. Thanks a lot to the staff for everything. We really appreciate it!

"Mixed Experience at Huntsville Harbor Chase Memory Care"
We went to Huntsville Harbor Chase's memory care last week. The director, business office, and memory care managers were unfriendly, secretive, and disrespectful. They couldn't handle the conflict, so they called the police. One employee even yelled at us during the day, which upset our family. Their behavior was unacceptable. On the bright side, the nurses and caregivers do a good job. They're friendly, attentive, and go the extra mile.

"Displeased with facility's activities and lack of personal touches."
The activity coordinator here is really unkind. I've noticed that there's less to do around here now. Every time I've come to visit, all the residents are just crammed into one space, stuck watching cartoons. My mom's been living here for a month. She has no pictures in her treasure box, her name isn't even up on her door. The CNA's are always nice, which is the only plus.

"Need for Improved Activities and Personal Touch"
The Activity Director here is not all that friendly. The amount of activities happening has decreased. Whenever I come by, I find the residents all huddled up watching cartoons. My mom has been staying here for a month, and there's not a single photo in her memory box. Her name isn't even on her door. At least the CNAs are always nice, that's the only good thing.

"Great Care for Mom"
Excellent Community for Mom. We toured this place for my mom's care. The staff was really helpful and answered all our questions. The community is clean, and they offer healthy meals. There are activities for residents who want to join. We would recommend families tour this community for their loved ones' care.

"Caring staff, great activities, and beautiful community!"
The staff is thoughtful, friendly, and caring. They do a great job encouraging my mom to join the many activities they offer. The second and third floors are for assisted living, while the first is for memory care. She loves Sunday services, playing bingo, and making new friends. The food is good, with plenty of choices and generous portions. The community is beautiful inside and out. I would definitely recommend it.

My brother enjoys living at Ormond In The Pines. The staff is wonderful, and they offer a variety of choices. He thinks the food tastes good, and he really enjoys the poker games on Wednesday nights. The community is kept clean.

"Evaluating Cost and Care: A Visit Worth Taking"
We visited this place to see the level of care provided. We weren't happy with the fact that its cost was higher than what we thought the care was worth. The employees were kind and helpful, capable of answering all our inquiries. The food options seemed inviting. The residents had access to various activities which is a plus point. We recommend other families to visit this place and check out the care services.

"Soaring Prices, Dropping Quality at Assisted Living Facility"
The assisted living facility is way too expensive and the food they serve at dinner is not good at all. I seriously doubt that any cleaning is getting done around here. My mom's room is consistently dirty and has a bad smell. The new boss in charge is hardly ever available when you need them. We're currently checking out other places. Meanwhile, the cost here keeps getting higher and higher, but the service only gets worse.

"Beautiful but Too Far and Over Budget"
I really liked Harborchase of Huntsville. It was a beautiful place. The staff who gave the tour were very kind and informative. The pricing was too high for us and the location was too far from family. It was worth visiting because they have many amenities.

"Caring and helpful staff, great communication"
We had a great experience with HarborChase of Huntsville. The staff is caring and professional, and they helped us throughout the whole process. Since we were out of state, I really appreciated how often they kept in touch. They gave us regular updates and even sent people to visit our loved one when she needed to go to the hospital, so we could know how she was doing. They truly went above and beyond, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking in the area!

"Not the Best Fit for Us"
We liked the place, but the memory care felt a bit sad. The assisted living had confusing alcoves, and we worried she’d get lost. Overall, not the best fit for us.

I was very impressed with it! I can't think of anything they could improve. I've heard the food is really good, but I'm out of town and only getting second-hand information. They are taking great care of my loved one.

"It's a nice place."
My loved one was only here for a little over a week when she had a fall, so I haven't had a lot of experience yet. They were pretty quick to respond, and I don’t have any concerns about how they handled it. The memory unit was clean, and it's a nice place overall. They’re giving her good care, and they got her out of her room and into the communal area. There are plenty of activities for her to do. Hopefully, she will get better and come home soon.

"Wonderful care and friendly staff!"
The management was excellent, and the staff was very friendly. The food was good, too. It was a good experience during the 55 days my wife stayed there. They treated her well and gave her great care. If we need help again, they would be at the top of our list. One area to improve would be to have more activities.

"Harbor Chase: A Nice Place"
It’s okay. We might need to relocate my mom soon because it’s expensive for her not to join their events. Overall, Harbor Chase is good. It’s closer to us than other places, and the residents seem a bit more well-off. My mom doesn’t mind, but I noticed. The need to move her is a downside.

"Nice Facility, but Overpriced with Small Rooms"
The place was quite nice, but it was too costly for us. I really wish they hadn't wasted our time and had mentioned this earlier. Besides, the rooms, given the price, were surprisingly small. They were even smaller than the rehab place my mom was at last autumn.

"Great Care but Confusing Layout"
The place has lots of hallways and elevators, and he gets confused a lot. They treat him really well, and I don't have any issues with them. The care is excellent, but the layout makes him stay in his room more. They're encouraging him to go out, and we have a therapy dog visit twice a month, which helps.

"Top Quality Care with Some Surprises"
I’m really impressed with the professional and caring nursing staff. They handle dementia patients well, redirecting them without confrontation. Whenever there’s an issue, I can count on a call. However, I wish I’d known that the level of service won’t change and that there’s an extra charge for medication assistance. Also, the dementia unit has two sections—one more severe than the other—making it hard for my mom to socialize. Despite this, I’d choose this place again, but I wish they’d explained things upfront.

"Decent, Christian-Based Assisted Living Close to Wife's School"
The assisted living facility is about a mile and a half away from my wife's school. It's not independent living, it's assisted. The website kind of gives me the impression that the place might be based on Christian values.
