"Neglected Facility with Bad Management and Pest Problems"
The leaders here are terrible and they show no concern for the elderly folks living here. There are no extra features to enjoy. The place is dirty and neglected. The stairs and open-air corridors are gross. The elevators have been broken for many long months. Roaches and bedbugs have infested the entire building.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I think others should consider trying this community. The person in charge is leaving, and she has not been very nice to my family. The kitchen staff is also not very polite, and they don't like wearing their hair nets. The community could definitely use some improvements overall.

"Unprofessional Peachtree Facility: Health and Communication Violations"
I lodged an official complaint on Peachtree Assisted Living Facility in Trussville and its Director. I complained to ALFC-ADPH and more Alabama state agencies because of concerns about the Covid-19 spread and other issues. My mom's final day there was at the end of March. The Director and staff did not use gloves while handling her belongings or when assisting her. This lack of safety measures, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, is a breach of healthcare rules. Additionally, the staff was hugging my family members without following the necessary 6-foot distance rule and then continued into the facility to work with other residents. This is another violation of health guidelines due to Covid-19. My 90-year-old mom, who has COPD, Congestive Heart Failure, and Dementia, was put at risk. It is more life-threatening for her due to her age and health conditions. A resident with Alzheimer's often walks out, and the local police department has to bring him back. This isn't a memory care facility, so it's unclear why they would accept residents with Dementia and Alzheimer's here. Maybe they are doing it for the money? The Director's attitude and approach to running the facility are unprofessional. She has never returned calls from me or my sister. It only happened after involving the Ombudsman. During talks about finances, she voiced her personal opinions about myself and my sister in a very unprofessional manner. If you're contemplating having a loved one here, flee. Don't even walk out.

"Unsafe and Unprofessional Practices at Local Assisted Living"
I made a valid complaint against Peachtree Assisted Living in Trussville, and the director. I was troubled by their handling of things amidst the COVID-19 outbreak, along with other issues. I found on my last day picking up my Mom, the director, and her staff were not using gloves while packing my Mom's stuff, nor when helping her exit. They were close to my mother and other family, ignoring the COVID-19 safety distance. This recklessness continued as they then interacted with other residents. This is especially urgent for my Mom who's 90, suffering from COPD, Heart Failure and Dementia. Putting her at such risk is not okay - it could be deadly because of her age and health. They also seem to have Alzheimer's sufferer, who's wandered and been returned by police more than once. In my opinion, this is not a place for memory care. Why would they house Dementia and Alzheimer's patients? Could it be for financial gain? The staff runs things in an awful way. She's unprofessional and doesn't answer calls unless the Ombudsman gets involved - my sister and I learned this firsthand. She also mixed personal beliefs into professional matters about my Mom's financial talk. If you're considering this place, I'd recommend steering clear.

"Wonderful Community and Heartwarming Support for Residents"
We've heard great things about this community and its fantastic location right in the center of our town, Trussville. It's so touching to see longtime members of FBT going to church on Sundays with the help of the Peach Tree bus and staff. These are truly special people. Go Peach Tree!

"New Management Plunges Peachtree Facility into Crisis."
My sister resides in Peachtree assisted living facility and ever since a change of ownership, the place has taken a nosedive in quality. The original, well-liked staff were all terminated and replaced by unfamiliar faces that the residents aren't permitted to engage. A bus that supposedly transports residents to outings or appointments is always parked upfront but, it never moves. As a frequent visitor, I've continually noticed that the residents receive minimum engagement from the facility. Their meals have also downgraded significantly, likely an attempt by the new manager to cut costs and impress the higher-ups. Previously, birthdays were marked with cake and ice cream. Now, only a fruit cup and a glass of juice serve as celebration. Is anyone out there who can help improve the situation?

"Peachtree has been great for my mom’s care."
Peachtree is under new ownership, and it’s a wonderful place. The staff really cares about the residents and it feels like family. They’ve done a lot of updates to the building and are expanding. It’s always clean, and my mom seems happy with the food. I’m glad we picked Peachtree for her. I know she’s well taken care of.

"**Feels Like Family**"
My mom lives at Peachtree. At first, she didn't want to move into assisted living, but now she loves it. The administrator, who's also a nurse, is super helpful with geriatric issues. They have parties and luncheons all the time. It's a cozy place, and I know most of the staff. It feels like family at Peachtree, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a smaller community.

"Lousy assisted living - Pray your Mom doesn't end up here!"
Sending Mom to this place was the biggest mistake ever! The people in charge only cared about raking in cash. They were cruel to Mom, who was still getting better from her lung infection and was really confused. The food was awful! They gave folks a choice between a bowl of store-bought soup or an unadorned sandwich for dinner. Can't tell you how relieved I am that we took her out before the month was up, even if it cost us our deposit. They should just shut this place! If they let me give this zero stars, I absolutely would!

"Terrible Owner Experience; Great Staff and Residents at Peachtree"
Our critique is solely toward, the alleged owner of Peachtree Assisted Living. Sadly, my family had a terrible encounter, judging from his emails and interactions with the hospice nurse. During the heartbreaking final moments of our loved one's life, along with the hospice nurse were quite disrespectful to our family members. Shouldn't run an assisted living facility. Still, the remaining people at Peachtree – residents and employees were wonderful. The other residents treated our family with great love and respect and understood our family members' difficulties. We worry for the staff and residents under the ownership. We were unaware of the critical health condition of our mother and grandmother. She was admitted at Peachtree as she met the assisted living requirements. Expecting her to stay for a lengthier term, she survived only 36 days. My wife had a confusing financial interaction with me. She paid $1,425, and 13 days later, we received an urgent email demanding another check. Needed an open-dated check of $1,425 to keep it permanently. This seemed to be a big issue - we felt as though we were seen as deadbeats! On my mother-in-law's last day, Jennifer attempted to dictate the actions of the hospice nurse, responsible for administering morphine to dying patients and was heard saying, "I do not want to lose my license because of a stupid patient and stupid nurse." This was an awful experience at Peachtree Assisted Living Facility!

"Peachtree is a fantastic place for your loved ones"
From the moment I called Jennifer at Peachtree, I got amazing service. All the caregivers have been super nice to my mom. My mom even said, "I can't believe you found this place!" The food is good, the facility is clean, and my mom's room is spotless. I would recommend anyone to check this place out. After visiting, I knew this was the perfect place for my mom. She's really happy at Peachtree!
