"Poor Care And Food, Insect Issues At Assisted Living Facility"
This place wasn't right for my family member. They had problems with pests. Even though I paid a lot, the care my loved one received wasn't what I hoped for. The staff didn't interact much. The food tasted terrible and sometimes, they ran out of it. Also, there were no activities.

The staff who take care of my loved one are really nice and friendly. The cost is fair. They should make sure there are enough people working on weekends, both nurses and maintenance staff.

"Quiet, Caring Assisted Living with Affordable Pricing"
My family member isn't thrilled with the food, but they hired a new chef, so it might get better. The place is quiet, and the staff takes good care of the residents. Plus, they're easy to talk to. I chose this community because of its location and affordable price.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Facility Needs Major Improvements"
Our family member lived at this place for about a year, and it was really bad. When you first move in, everyone seems friendly, but the care was terrible, and there weren't any fun things to do. They just made the residents watch TV all day. Our loved one wore the same dirty clothes for a whole week, and when we told them about it, they didn't do anything. They really need to get better at talking to people, planning activities, and taking care of the residents.

"Friendly Staff, Clean Space, Some Room for Improvement"
Truewood by Merrill is a good spot for your family member. It’s clean, and most folks there are friendly. My sister’s room is pretty nice, though I wish it had more space. It seems like they’re having trouble keeping staff, which might be why the food’s not as good lately. My biggest issue is there’s only one person to fix things in the whole place. They expect everyone to do their laundry, but a lot of the machines are broken and haven’t been fixed for a long time. How can everyone wash their clothes if the machines don’t work? I’ve been taking my sister’s laundry home to clean. Plus, those washers and dryers are really dirty – they need someone to clean them regularly. Truewood has buses for doctor visits and shopping trips, but my sister hasn’t tried them yet. They might start charging extra for it soon. They plan fun outings and activities too. My sister loves playing bingo and other games they have. All in all, I’d tell people Truewood is worth checking out.

I really recommend this place. For me, the best part is its location. It's close to my loved one. I also like how it looks. It feels like an apartment building, and it has a nice atmosphere.

"Happy with Progress and Community Overall"
It took my mom a while to get used to living here, but I think we're starting to see some progress. I'm happy with her move to this community; it’s a nice place. The staff are attentive and address any concerns I have. The meals are generally good, and there are lots of activities for the residents. Everything is going well, and I’d recommend this community.

"Change in Management Affects Care Quality"
I enjoyed the assisted living facility and especially loved the past director. Sadly, she's not working there anymore for some unidentified reason. The new director isn't as welcoming or hands-on when it comes to saying hello. If I can't be with my grandparents, I want someone who can make them feel valued and taken care of. I had that sense of security with.

"Not Suitable for Mom's Care"
It was okay. This place was bigger than another one. They looked at my mom and figured they might not be the best fit for her because of what she needs. I still think it's a pretty good place.
