"Needs Fresher Food"
I chose this place because it's close to home. The food isn't fresh mostly canned or prepacked. They focus on older residents, but my loved one is super active. Staff is friendly and tries to accommodate families. Billing process could be better.

"Poor Security: Dad Robbed at Lunch, Cameras Not Working"
Watch out for the staff and security at Brookdale. My Dad got robbed while he was having lunch there. Someone took over $200 from his wallet in his apartment. We had to call the police. The security is really bad, and the cameras haven't been working for over a year.

"Memory Care Facility: Mixed Experience but Nice Staff and Environment"
If your loved one needs memory care, it's a small place with limited outdoor space. We've noticed changes in staff, with three nursing directors since she arrived. However, despite the ups and downs, she still prefers to stay here. The staff is friendly, and the place looks good. Whenever I call for help, they're quick to assist and communicate well.

"Highly Recommended Assisted Living!"
It’s a bit pricey, but totally worth it. The care and activities are great, and the rooms are perfect for our loved ones. We’d recommend this community.”

"Avoid This Assisted Living: Poor Care and Unfulfilled Promises"
Don't be fooled by their guarantees and touted facilities. They make lots of promises about their team and their care, but really, they're most concerned about money. The food is awful. While some staff members are nice, others are indifferent and rough with residents. They don't really get how memory problems work. Sure, they have a memory section but they're not attentive to those patients in assisted living. You can't trust that your family member is being properly monitored or getting their medicines from all the nurses as directed. Please, stay far away!

"Unjust Charges and Neglect: Run from This Assisted Living Facility"
This facility is a nightmare. They billed $4,905 in September, then swelled to an enormous $85,000ish in October, despite my mom leaving on the 13th of that month. What's worse, they notified me that they'd overcharged by about $1,300 but I've yet to see any refund. Instead, they're trying to charge more for a resident that doesn't even live there anymore. They've failed to provide a complete report of what services cost what amount. Unbelievably, they also added a $450ish charge for medication, when my mother doesn't take any. I can't emphasize enough how awful this place is. My mom fell twice during her stay. They carelessly left her walker clear across the room from her. One night at 8:30, they left her unassisted in her chair. Their response was frosty and unfriendly when I requested help. To top it all off, they left her stranded outside her room in her wheelchair with the door locked. One of my friends had to scramble around the entire facility to find a staff member with a key. It might look shiny on the outside, but I’d advise you to get as far away from this place as possible. A so-called $6,300 cap on costs means absolutely nothing to them.

"Exceptional care; mother-in-law is happier and more outgoing now."
My mother-in-law lives here, and my husband and I are very happy with the care she gets. The staff is exceptional. She was once shy and lonely, but now she’s more outgoing and friendly. The director and his team have made us feel safe about her care. We like the activities and church services offered. She is enjoying a much richer lifestyle.
