"Mixed Experience at Brookstone Assisted Living Facility"
My family member's start at Brookstone was nice. But, as his illness got worse, things got tough. The doctors said it's normal for his sickness. Then, there were lots of new staff, not as good as before. They didn't have enough people working. I'm not sure if I'd tell others to go there. Our end wasn't great. But, maybe things have changed since then. Someone else might have a better time there.

"Needs Improvement for Higher Care Levels"
The place doesn't have enough workers, and it's worse on weekends. It's okay if you need basic care, but not enough for more serious needs. The workers come when you call, but sometimes you wait up to 5 minutes. They only have one person to clean the whole place. They clean my family member's room once a week, but it should be more because of accidents. The bathroom smells like pee because the toilet leaks onto the floor. The shower is too small, and if you use a wheelchair, you can't use the sink. Dirty clothes get left in the basket too much. They're changing things now, trying to offer only basic care. Talking to the family is okay, and the food and moving in were good. But I wouldn't tell people to come here unless they really fix things up.

"Quick, Compassionate Respite Care for My Father"
I was in a tough spot, and they quickly gave my father the respite care he needed with kindness and understanding. I would recommend them to others. The staff is very caring, compassionate, and patient.

"Brookstone Falls Short on Assisted Living Expectations"
I wouldn't recommend Brookstone. The staff is friendly, but it feels more like a nursing home than assisted living. We want to find a newer place with better amenities. The automatic front doors never work, and there have been fire alarm and sprinkler issues. Plus, my mom still doesn't have her own mailbox. For what we pay each month, everything should be in better condition.

"A Caring Place with Room for Improvement"
The staff is super friendly and helpful, but sometimes a bit shy. Most of them are lovely Marshallese people. They really care about the residents and know what they’re doing. When it comes to my dad’s Dementia, they should just tell him what needs to happen, like saying, ‘Today is your shower day,’ instead of asking. And they should help him to the bathroom without asking if he needs to go. The food is really good, with lots of choices for each meal. The activities could be better, but the Activities Director tries hard to make things fun. Dad’s room is usually clean, although I’ve had to clean the bathroom myself sometimes. They clean it once a week or as needed. Since I’m here with him 4-7 days a week, we don’t need to communicate much. Overall, I’d recommend this place. Some residents have been here for 7-15 years and wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. They’re happy and well taken care of.

"Brookstone Assisted Living Review"
We visited Brookstone and it was our second favorite. If my loved one's memory gets worse, we might choose this place. The person who showed us around was really kind. I talked to the Director on the phone but he didn't call back.

"Great Assisted Living Facility with Wonderful Staff"
We're thankful they accepted us, and my loved one enjoys a lovely room with a big window, bathroom, and kitchen. The value for the money is better than anywhere else we looked. The location is beautiful. When you step inside, it's gorgeous, and the dining area is very nice. They're a bit short-staffed, relying on temporary workers. I adore the facility, and the staff have been wonderful.

"Friendly staff, but not the right care needed"
Our tour of The Brookstone was great! The people we met were wonderful and answered all our questions. Sadly, they just didn't have the type of care my loved one needed, so the facility wasn't a good match for us.

"Clean and Friendly Assisted Living Facility"
Brookstone is a really nice and tidy place. The staff were all friendly and acted professionally. It felt a bit strict and structured, though. We wanted more flexibility, but if you need that kind of environment, it's a great facility.
