"Disappointing Experience at The Manor Assisted Living Facility"
We visited The Manor while looking for a place for my loved one. We didn't like it much, except for the rooms. The staff seemed unprepared and couldn't answer questions. Our guide wasn't friendly. The place felt cold and had too much empty space. It didn't feel like home.

"Inconsistent Care and Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
During the tour, they promised many things that never happened. On weekends, the staff seems to disappear, even though they claim the numbers are the same. I've called multiple times on weekends, but no one answers. Even when leaving voicemails, no one returns the calls. My family member has a beeper for safety, but whenever it goes off on weekends, no staff comes to check. Not even once. This is a big safety problem. Communication here is really bad. They said they'd check on my loved one if they missed a meal, but they never do. I've only had a few interactions with management, and they're rarely nice. The bathrooms are hardly ever clean. I suggest visiting randomly multiple times before considering this place for your loved ones.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short, Not Recommended for Seniors"
We had a bad time there and left after 3 weeks. I felt sorry for the people in assisted living, they didn't get enough help. They didn't know how to take care of the townhouses. Maintenance hardly ever happened because they only had one person doing all the fixing and yard work. The internet hardly ever worked; they barely cleaned up after building, so we spent a lot of time trying to make the house clean. The food was okay on some days, but most days it was terrible. They would run out of napkins and silverware by dinner, and sometimes the kitchen staff was late, so we got served cold food. I wouldn't suggest that place to anyone.

"Understaffed Facility with Good Nursing Staff"
The nurses are good. But, the place doesn’t have enough staff. The director told us she won’t solve weekend issues. This sets the tone for the Manor.

"Mixed Feelings: Friendly Atmosphere but Unclear Services and Coordination Issues"
The people living here are nice and there's a sense of togetherness. Some staff are friendly and helpful, but it's confusing what they're supposed to do. The place is generally clean, but they forget to tidy up rooms. While the caregivers individually are good, they don't work well together. The director doesn't respond to emails on weekends, which isn't great. There's been staff turnover, and they promise things they don't deliver, like certain activities and pedicures. They only plan to offer pedicures once a month. Sometimes, the transportation van isn't available for appointments due to repairs.

"Assisted Living Facility: Mixed Experience with Staff and Food Quality"
The staff seems stressed, not lazy. They're understaffed and rushed. New chefs, food quality declined. Great activities, clean facility.

"Mixed Feelings About a Cozy Assisted Living Community"
This place is really nice and the staff are great. I liked the security by the front door, especially how it stops people who might wander off. They're dedicated to taking care of people throughout their time here, which I think is important. I like that they have both independent and assisted living in one place. It's also good that there are nurses available 24/7 and they offer different meals. The only thing I'm unsure about for choosing this place for my mom is how dark the apartments are. The design means there isn't much natural light; plus, the dark wood floors and brown walls make it feel gloomy! Also, all the rooms are on one floor with no view, which doesn't help. Overall, I think it's a beautiful place with nice staff, but the apartments are too dark for my liking.

"Heartbreak from poorly managed assisted living facility"
My buddy's mom was put in this place...total mess up! Management and resident helpers keep changing constantly. It's real sad for any family that has to deal with moving a parent into a place like this, and then it turns out to be so poorly run.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Manor"
The manor is a good community overall. The staff is friendly and helpful. My loved one's room is comfortable and spacious enough for her to move around with her walker. The upkeep is excellent, and the meals are in decent portions. However, they mainly serve fried foods and carbs, which my loved one doesn't really like. The biggest concern is the administration – it has changed three times since my loved one arrived. Unfortunately, the care for my loved one isn't consistent. Despite speaking with the owner and director, nothing has improved. Right now, I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend.

"Bad Manor Experience: Medicaid Issues and Rude Treatment from Owner"
I had prepared to admit my mom into The Manor since she was approved for Medicaid and on their waiting list. The day before her scheduled admission, she had to visit the hospital. I was asked to arrange her stuff at her room. While she remained admitted, I purchased new items to personalize and make her room more comfortable. Dealing with Medicaid was a new experience for me, but I tried to keep in contact with DHS. My mom stayed at the hospital for multiple weeks, throughout which I maintained communication with various officials at The Manor. As she was about to be discharged, I informed the nurse with the assumption they needed to be aware of her medications and other details. However, on the day of her discharge, I received a call from the Manor's administrator around 10:00 letting me know my mom's Medicaid had lapsed and she couldn't move in. This left me devastated. Despite making many calls seeking assistance, it was a struggle. Eventually, I managed to speak to one of The Manor's proprietors who responded rudely, even laughing while I was weeping. That's when I firmly decided against having my mom be a resident at The Manor. The following day, the administrator called me again to let me know the locks had been changed and we could only access my mom's items from 8:00 to 5:00.
