"Poor Service and Unfulfilled Promises in Assisted Living Facility"
They claim to offer 2 showers a week, but occasionally, they only provide one or sometimes none at all. When the emergency button is pressed, they may respond after 45 minutes, or they might not even show up at all. They serve cold meals here. Also, they only wash the bed sheets every other month. They keep assuring me that they will improve their service, but so far, I've seen no such improvements. We're actively searching for a different place.

"Not Recommended: Staff Shortage and Poor Food Quality"
They don't have enough staff, so they don't give us the services we pay for. My family member thinks the food is awful and not what they promised. Maybe it's because of the staff shortage. Right now, I wouldn't recommend them. My loved one has been there for 2 months and still hasn't received any help with showers. She does it herself and hopes she won't slip.

"Disappointing Tour Experience at Brookdale Central Chandler"
Our family went to see Brookdale Central Chandler. The lady who was supposed to show us around was late by 25 minutes and seemed distracted. The place had shared rooms, which wasn't what we wanted.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff who helped us were nice and caring. The person in charge of advertising is especially good. But, when we had questions or worries, the other leaders hardly ever called us back. Apart from that, it’s a nice place that cares about people.

"Comfortable Living with Room for Improvement"
The cost is reasonable for what you get. We chose this place because they accept our insurance, and it's close to other family. However, the activities could be better—they should have field trips, painting, baking, art classes, and exercise options. They are good at answering questions and staying in touch. My family member is comfortable and has made new friends, so overall, it's going fine.

"Poor Care and Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
While our family member was living there, she didn't receive the proper care that she should have had. We noticed she lost a lot of weight, which worried us. What's more, things went missing from her room, which was always kept in a state of disorder. Getting in touch with the staff was a challenge as they seldom returned our calls. Overall, our family had a difficult experience.

"Institutional feel; crowded environment; kind staff."
I visited Brookdale Central Chandler. Staff was kind, but facility felt institutional. It seemed crowded.

"Deep Regret Over Choosing Unskillful, Unprofessional Assisted Living Facility"
Zero stars. They seriously lack skills and professionalism. I deeply regret my decision.

""Severe Bed Bug Infestation at Mom's Assisted Living Facility""
My mom lives in this assisted living facility and she's been suffering from severe bed bug bites on her arms and legs. I can't believe I brought one home with me! Right away, I undressed in my laundry room and found a bed bug crawling on my arm. I'm really grossed out with this place and upset with my mom for not telling me.

"Staff Shines at Assisted Living"
The place felt more like a nursing home. The staff was awesome—really helpful and knowledgeable. I preferred them over the Oaks.

"Avoid Brookdale: Promises Unfulfilled, Frustrating Experiences and Money Owed"
My dad was at Brookdale Central Chandler's memory care section for about 6 weeks last year, but it was a huge disappointment. They reeled us in with big promises, but sadly, none were kept. The care he got was as simple as it could be because the staff was spread too thin and couldn't handle all their responsibilities. They even thanked us for visiting my dad every day, which made me worried about those residents without frequent visitors. In the end, we decided to move my dad to a group home where he received much better care. But the worst bit was after he passed, Brookdale ended up owing my mom a lot of money. My dad qualified for ALTCS and while we waited for the paperwork, my mom paid his fees from her savings. Yet, Brookdale has never sent a bill to ALTCS for my dad's care. We've been trying to get a refund for a whole year, and it's been a frustrating dance of never-ending emails, phone calls, and messages with no answers. They even sent my dad's account to collections. Now, we're working with a lawyer and an Ombudsman to sort this out. If you're thinking about memory care for a loved one, I recommend you think twice about Brookdale and consider a group home instead. The difference between the two was like night and day. The group home managed ALTCS billing without any issues.

"Caring Staff and Clean Environment, but Medication Mix-Up Fixed"
My mom stayed at this place for about a month. The people who worked there were nice and friendly. They always helped her when she needed it. At first, there was a problem with her medicine because the nurses didn’t talk well. But they fixed it quickly. The food was okay, and they did their best to keep everything clean.

"Irresponsible Assisted Living Facility Ignored Bed Bug Outbreak"
Reaching out to the company to report issues is near impossible. This facility does not impress me. They're dealing with a huge bed bug issue, but they didn't warn visiting families to protect their safety or inform the unaware patients. I visited our mom for months, not knowing her room was crawling with bugs, which meant I didn't know to take precautions. This resulted in my own home getting infested. To this day, my house isn't back in order, I'm sleeping without a bed, and the full treatment hasn't been implemented to ensure the bugs are fully gone. They don't even have a doctor on site. They only have a nurse practitioner in a network that's not supervised by a doctor. Patients need to be taken to the hospital if seen by a doctor. When our mom was seen by a proper doctor, he gave orders to adjust our mom's treatment. Sadly, the facility's nursing staff completely ignored it. Yet, I discovered they gave our mom unknown medication even before alerting them about it. These actions show a lack of responsibility on their part.
