"Not enough independence, felt like a nursing home. Discomfort ensued."
We didn't like this place because it felt too much like a nursing home or hospital, and my mom wanted more independence. It just wasn't right for us.

"Cozy, Friendly Facility Perfect for My Mom's Future Home"
Beautiful remodel. I toured with my mom, and she liked how small and homelike it felt. With only 50 apartments, everyone knows each other. The staff seemed very happy, and the residents were laughing and even introduced themselves to us. My mom will definitely be moving here soon.

"Too Big for Comfort"
I took a tour of the community, and I noticed that it was quite large. Personally, I didn't like the community's size.

"Brookdale: Unhelpful, Unhappy, Avoid At All Costs"
He is unbelievably mean and always gloomy. We've decided to relocate my mother. Lots of other people are doing the same. If you want terrible assistance and a low quality of life for your family member, Brookdale is not your place. Save some time and money and don't have your family member join this community. This place is really sad and needs to be closed for good.

"Assisted Living Review: Food Needs Work, Activities Worth Trying"
My mom's settling in alright; she's getting used to it. They're trying their best. The food's not great, but it's alright. I don't wanna talk bad about them 'cause they're feeding many folks, but they could make better food. They do bingo and other stuff, but mom hasn't tried them yet.

"Drastic Change in Brookdale on West Ina Unsettles Me"
Brookdale on West Ina isn't the same anymore. When my Grandpa first moved in, it was a different, better place. The current activity director lacks kindness and ability. I really miss when [Removed] was in charge. She knew how to brighten everyone's day. Lately, care costs keep going up, but the staff are not seeing raises that match the rising cost of living. This has resulted in a lot of staff leaving, causing an imbalance between the number staff and residents. It's not a safe environment anymore. It's pretty sad to see the people there getting such poor treatment. I feel bad for keeping my Grandpa there, considering how the quality has dropped drastically. I just can't recommend this place now.

"Chilly Reception and Neglected Safety"
This place is quite upsetting. It's like walking into a freezer when you come through the front door — no one greets you or even cracks a smile. I'm left wondering what kind of dismal impact this has on the people living there. The food service is always running behind or they run short, I've seen meals served 54 minutes late. What's worse are the safety hazards — sharp things are left out in the open, they're short-staffed, and there aren't enough people on duty for what the residents need. I can't bear the thought of my family members staying here any longer in such a chilly and neglectful place.

"Nice visit to Brookdale North Tucson! Clean, friendly staff."
I had a nice visit to Brookdale North Tucson. The place was clean, and the people who worked there were really friendly. The person who showed us around knew a lot and was also very nice. It was a good experience, but it wasn't exactly what we were hoping to find.

"Disappointed with the Poorly Kept Facility"
My brother and I visited this place for our mom and didn't like what we saw. They didn't offer many perks that appealed to us. The whole place needed better maintenance. Just didn't get the right vibe, and it wasn't a good fit for our mom.

"Improving Care"
The staff at the assisted living facility are really trying hard to take care of my mom's medicine. It was tough at first, but things are improving. My mom enjoys the food, and they're doing their best to meet her diabetic requirements. She also likes being around people her age and appreciates the care from the staff. Plus, there are lots of fun activities for her!

"Short on staff, money-focused, and not enough care"
This place doesn't have enough workers, and it's clear they're all about making money. Nobody on the staff talks to each other, and the boss, who first seems kind, doesn't really try to help when you need it. You can tell she's got too much on her plate though. We had to ask multiple times just to get basic things for my grandma. There's this young guy working there who's really rude to the residents, I didn't like his disrespectful attitude. IF they would hire more people (but they won't) and gave the patients more attention and care, my review would be nicer, but it's obvious their main concern is cash. I get that it's a business, but the care they give is still way below the mark.

"Friendly Staff, Unresponsive Administration"
I think the people who work here do a good job. The lady who runs the dining room and the lady at the desk are really nice and helpful to my mom. But, the bosses don't respond quickly when there are issues. That's not good for a place where my loved one stays. I just want them to be more responsive.

"Communication needs improvement at Emeritus (Brookdale) Tucson. Decent otherwise."
The thing about Emeritus at Tucson (now Brookdale) is their communication needs work. Like, one time we visited Mom and noticed a bruise, turns out she fell. We should've been told. We wanna know how she's doing and what's up. They gotta step up there. Apart from that, it's alright.

"Unsuitable Home for Mentally Active Elderly"
Mainly a center for memory help, everyone living there were in the early stages of memory loss or worse. This place wouldn't be fit for Nancy, she's still got a clear mind and flawless memory.

"Doing Decent Job with Friendly Staff and Clean Environment"
They're doing a decent job overall. The staff is friendly, and the place stays clean. They could improve follow-through. Weekend staff isn't as good as weekdays, but the food is pretty good.

"Sadly, A Nightmare Visit to the Assisted Living Facility"
Sadly, our visit to this facility was a nightmare. The Director admitted to having a staff shortage due to many people calling off. She also had to handle another facility that was lacking a Director, forcing her to rush between both properties. During our tour, we noticed a resident abandoned in her wheelchair in the hallway without any staff nearby. In addition, we checked out a very small room and did a test of the emergency call system. We were disappointed when we had to wait a long time before a staff member responded.
