"Short Staffing Delays Assistance"
We waited a while for help because they don’t have enough staff.

"Poor Service and Rude Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
My family and I were visiting my mom from California. It was mealtime when we got there, so we met with her friends in the dining room. In no time, a rude server named [name removed] asked us to leave, claiming it was for health concerns even though we had masks on and were vaccinated. The other residents mentioned that he often bullies people and decides who can come depending on his mood. He is very dominating to the residents and I think he needs to be confronted about his behavior. If nothing changes, we plan to move my mom to a new place. He wasn't the only one who was impolite during our visit, but I'll just discuss this incident for now.

"Mixed Feelings at Avista Place"
Avista Place felt a bit like living in an apartment, and the community had an interesting mix of people. I believe it would suit a lady better. The place had a cozy, homey vibe with trinkets everywhere and flower-filled patios. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the right fit for my male loved one. On the bright side, the staff there were incredibly friendly.

"Comfortable Living Environment with Room for Improvement"
The food here isn't the greatest, but the rooms and how everything is set up are perfect. We'd tell others to go to Brookdale Prescott.

"Community Involvement Matters at This Assisted Living Facility"
Being part of this community requires staying connected; otherwise, things slip through the cracks. Their Covid plan could have been better organized. If you have time to stay involved, I recommend this facility.

"Mixed Impressions at Assisted Living Facility"
I took a great tour and liked what I saw. However, I'm not sure they have enough nursing staff, and they charge for everything. The rooms are nice, though. I haven't made up my mind about this place yet.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
My family member is living here right now, and it's not going so well. The staff seems okay and they appear to care about my family member. Everyone I've spoken to is really friendly. But, there have been problems with medicine and . My family member enjoys the company and seems to like the place. It's kept clean and housekeeping visits once a week, as far as I know. The food is pretty good and there are many choices. They have activities like games, bingo, exercise, and movie outings. I think they have outdoor activities too. Some things are fine and some are improving, but I have to keep a close eye on everything. The nurses are wonderful and I appreciate them, but the extra cost for medical stuff is high and I feel we're paying too much. My main problem is with the medical staff, as most aren't registered nurses or aides. I asked for help once and the available staff didn't try to help, they just kept talking. Overall, I'm not sure if I'd recommend them.

"Mixed Feelings: Staffing and Maintenance Concerns in Assisted Living Facility"
My sister really enjoys it here, but we have concerns. She made friends and joined activities right away. However, repairs take too long, and cleaning isn't thorough. Only one housekeeper for the whole place! They rush through it, and sometimes we need to hire outside help. Plus, there's no onsite nursing staff anymore. Food is usually good, but sometimes not great. Some long-time residents still like it here.

"Comfortable Assisted Living with Friendly Staff and Cozy Amenities"
This place is really nice. There's a great common area where residents and visitors can hang out by the fireplace. The dining area is big with lots of windows that let in natural light. The food is good, but they could offer more choices. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. They keep in touch well with families and respond promptly. I think this is a good place for people to consider.

"Mixed Experience with Assisted Living Community"
Overall, I really like this place for my husband and me. The caregivers and staff are nice, but we're facing some challenges with his care plan. It's hard because he doesn't want to take all his blood pressure medicines, just his alternative medicine, but the facility won't agree or give us a waiver. They say they can't do that. The housekeeping needs improvement. In the 4 weeks my husband has been here, I've had to remind them 3 out of 4 times to clean his room. When I ask, they say they forgot. There aren't many activities here. They have a program where staff can go get residents involved, which I pay extra for and don't mind. They do go get him, but they don't always try to get him involved in the activities. I chose this community because of the patio, great caregivers, and good food, which I thought would be important to my husband.
