"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
My time there was okay, but not awesome! The food was pretty good, and the people serving it were nice. But I wish there were more kinds of food to choose from.

"Unaccommodating, Rude Management in Overpriced Facility"
This place is really awful to live in. They just don't take care of basic living needs. The people in charge are extremely disrespectful and won't even help with easy tasks. If I'm paying over 3500 bucks here, the least I could get is a decent living space. I strongly advise against living here!

"Solid Choice for Senior Living"
We picked Country Club because my sister-in-law works in the industry and her grandmother stayed here. The rooms are quite spacious because the building is older. The food is decent, though a bit bland. Overall, everything looks good, and I'd suggest it to others looking for a place.

"Poor service and high cost."
We live here but might move due to poor service. Dining takes an hour: wait for server, order, wait for food. Caregiving is inconsistent. They want to raise charges despite low care quality. Activities are good, but it's overpriced.

"Lovely Assisted Living with Couple Units"
The Country Club at La Cholla was nice, but a bit expensive for our budget. The grounds and landscaping were well-maintained, and they offered separate living units for couples, complete with carports and garages.

"Enjoyable Activities and Friendly Staff, But Noise Issues"
The things to do here are pretty nice. They've got a men's club and Bingo, which is why we picked this place. The people who work here are really, really nice and super friendly. The folks who live here are mostly older, and sometimes you can hear noises from other apartments. Luckily, we have a nice patio where we can hang out outside.

"Sweet Staff and Good Covid Safety, with Minor Gripes"
I have a few things I want to mention about this place. First, they leave trash cans out front and never seem to pick them up, which is annoying because you have to walk past them all the time. Second, the food is okay, but I have trouble eating some of it due to my stomach issues. On the bright side, the staff here are really nice and always do thoughtful things for the people who live here. They've also been really good about following the rules for COVID-19, which is important. Overall, I would recommend this place to anyone who's thinking about moving in.

"Warm, welcoming facility with great staff and happy residents"
This facility impressed me from the beginning. The cozy lobby, helpful staff, tasty food, and friendly team make it stand out. Residents I talked to said they really like living at the Country Club.

"Hit or Miss: Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The place has great stuff and fun things to do. But there's a big issue. They can't hold on to staff, so the service stinks in the dining room and sometimes for fixing stuff. The food's hit or miss. Sometimes it's yummy, other times it's blah.

"One of the Best"
We've been here from the start, and everyone's friendly. The staff and management are genuine, and they love their jobs. We felt welcomed by both staff and residents. The activities are great—lectures, helping the homeless, happy hours, live entertainment, and more. The groundskeepers and housekeepers are excellent. We're really happy here; it's one of the best communities.

"Disappointing Assisted Living Experience in Tucson, AZ"
This place is too focused on making money, with rent going up every year. The food isn't good either. The staff in the office aren't friendly to older people. When you report things that need fixing, they take forever to do anything about it. The men who fix stuff seem really tired from too much work. They try to make it look fancy, but it's not really nice. Don't move in until they've actually done everything they said they would. The menus they show don't match what you actually get to eat. They told us to complain, but we don't know if they'll listen.

"Review: Recent Changes Diminish Food Quality at Tucson Assisted Living Facility"
Last week, I sent a message mentioning that the food quality was getting better at your assisted living facility. However, I just found out that the chef was let go because he spent too much money. He was actually putting in extra effort to get better ingredients when possible. I would suggest you conduct a surprise quality check without informing the management. These type of places care more about looks rather than the genuine care of their residents.

"Nice community, higher pricing, worth touring"
This is a very nice community with lots of amenities. It's bright, clean, and welcoming. I wasn't sure if my parents would fit, and the pricing was a bit high for our budget. I would recommend taking a tour.

"Luxury Living with Active Residents and Great Amenities!"
This place feels like a fancy apartment complex, which is cool. The people living here are active and the staff pays attention. The shared spaces are impressive, and they listened to residents when they chose not to turn a big area into a movie theater, opting for a workout room and library instead. The rooms are roomy, and the casitas are awesome.

"New Chef Brings Trouble to Assisted Living Facility"
Now that there's a new chef, things have gotten worse. He doesn't know how to cook, and he yells at the staff. The food is gross, and it's no surprise that three other chefs (assistant chefs) have quit. You should really consider letting him go. More people are complaining now, and he is one of the worst directors for the residents here.

"Staff Address Concerns Promptly, Meal Quality Declined, Safety Concerns Arise"
My parents live in the retirement area. Initially, there were some problems with their apartment, but when I informed the staff, they quickly fixed everything. Unfortunately, the cook left, and now the meals are terrible. They display meal options for the day and have soup available all day. My parents can choose from two meals. My mom has made friends and feels part of the community, although she's not ready for activities yet. Recently, there was a robbery, but the police are handling it, and there haven't been any other housekeeping issues.

"Not Satisfied"
As we walked around during the tour, we weren't impressed. We tried their meals, and they were just okay. We felt it wasn't the right fit for us because we wanted good rent along with full care, meals, and cleaning.

"Bumpy Beginning, Hoping for Better"
My folks are managing alright at this place. The beginning was quite bumpy. The process of settling in was a letdown. Their flat wasn’t ready for occupancy, so we had to hold on. It’s a very attractive place and they keep it clean. However, they make lots of commitments they don't meet. My parents like the meals here. We are still not clued-in about the activities. Overall, this is a safer place for them than living unaided at home.

"Upgrading Assisted Living Spaces; Needs Better Activities and Visitors"
They’re updating the building to include more assisted living spaces, which should be an improvement. However, they could do better with activities and invite more outside people to join in.

"First Hand Experience with My Mother"
I have a very personal and positive experience with this community. My mother was living in another place in Phoenix, and we decided she should be closer to us in Tucson. We toured many places and chose The Country Club of La Cholla for many reasons. From the moment we arrived on our first visit, my mother said, "I really feel at home here. The residents are so friendly, the staff always asks how they can help, there are many activities I enjoy, and the food is great." As her son, I was concerned about making the right choice for her safe and secure future. The Country Club of La Cholla was definitely the right decision. I highly recommend you consider this amazing senior community for your loved ones or yourself if it’s time to move.

"Great staff made finding a home for Mom easy"
I want to thank the staff at the Country Club for helping me find a place for my mom. Everyone was super helpful. A special thanks to Catherine for her amazing guidance and support. She really went the extra mile. I’m confident that Mom will be well taken care of at your facility.

"Not what it seems."
Residents don't have enough car service. The food quality is disappointing, and some showers are unsafe for elderly people. Changes are needed. Also, no exciting Fourth of July event—just a short picnic. Very sad.

We moved here about a month ago and it's very nice. The apartments are big and well-maintained. The food is good but could have bigger portions. The staff is great, but they definitely need more help.

"Friendly and Helpful Staff Make This Place Shine"
The place is super clean, and the staff is really friendly. The food is okay, maybe like a 3 out of 5. Overall, I'm happy with where he is. The best part? The people there are so helpful and friendly. Plus, they've got this awesome outdoor courtyard that's really nice and shady
