"Expensive Assisted Living Facility"
Courtyard Towers looked nice and well-maintained, but it was too expensive.

"Assisted Living Facility Faces Challenges Amidst Renovations"
Driving up to the facility, my first impression was that there wasn’t enough parking. I also noticed the absence of a swimming pool or spa. The hallways felt narrow, making me wonder how two wheelchairs could pass each other. There’s a fair amount of deferred maintenance, although the food is good and the residents are friendly. One resident mentioned a past bed bug issue, which worries me. The facility is being bought out, with promises of improvement, but my experience tells me that might not always be the case. The building, standing at 14 stories, seems large for just 190 residents. With only three elevators, the wait can be quite long. The new management faces challenges, especially with the maintenance backlog. They plan to replace all the carpeting and address other issues, but where will the funds come from? I anticipate rent increases soon.

"Not Impressed"
While the staff was helpful, the facility fell short. The ‘tower’ layout felt outdated, and the units lacked proper upkeep. On the bright side, the location near a museum and old town Mesa was a plus.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Standards"
The place and how nice it looked, and the whole company, wasn't as good as other places we checked out in the area.

"Assisted Living Disappointment"
I didn’t like this place. When I stepped inside, it smelled bad, and the narrow, gloomy halls didn’t help. The apartment they showed us was downright dirty. Usually, you start with a meeting to discuss your needs before the tour. But here, we were whisked away without any personal chat or effort to understand why we were there or what we wanted. Not a great experience.

"Lack of Care and Leadership at Elderly Facility"
I really wouldn't recommend moving your family member into this place. The person in charge right now just doesn't care. They got a real bad issue with bedbugs that they're just not dealing with right. They haven't had enough people working for the last couple of years, and all the good workers have quit. The ones who are still there just don't have the time to take care of folks. They always drop off medicine in a cup and leave, even though they're supposed to watch the person take it. Without a strong leader and enough well-trained staff, there's no way you can run a good, or even just okay, place for old people to live.

"Mixed Experience in Assisted Living Facility"
Transitioning to the facility was tough because there are about 150 residents, and they didn't know how to take care of my mom at first. There are so many staff members that I didn't know who to ask for help. She even went missing for 14 hours without anyone calling me! Despite that, the facilities are nice. The food and activities are great, the staff is friendly, and it's a good value. They've had some issues with staffing, which caused delays, and sometimes messages get lost with so many people, but overall, I'm happy with it.

"Unbearable Conditions at Courtyard Towers Nursing Home"
Don't send your family to Courtyard Towers if you care about their well-being. The rooms are so small, they're like closets. Walking around the place is a chore. There's this awful stench of sewer and pee hanging in the air. While I waited for my tour, I overheard people living there talking about their ongoing struggle with bedbugs - apparently, it's been a problem for over a year! Courtyard Towers really needs a thorough revamp.

"Affordable 12-story living with stunning city views and elevator congestion."
The assisted living place has 12 floors, I think, and 2 elevators that can get crowded during meals. They only have a one-bedroom floor plan, which costs $175 more. The view of the city is really beautiful!

"Unpleasant Smells and Old Building - Not Recommended"
We really didn't like this place. When we walked in, it smelled like mold, which was gross. Also, the building looked really old and could use some fixing up. We wouldn't recommend it.

"Courtyard Towers Review: Misleading Information and Maintenance Issues"
When I first visited Courtyard Towers, I really liked it. But after moving in, I discovered that much of the information they provided was untrue. The place needs a lot of repairs. I've been waiting over six weeks for maintenance requests. At one point, we had only one working elevator for three weeks, leading to fights among residents. The caregivers are nice but often seem untrained. Recently, there was a flu outbreak, and no protective measures were taken. Overall, I feel misled and will search for another home.

"Caring Staff and Homely Atmosphere at Facility"
Things are going pretty well at this place. My loved one is getting hospice care here and she’s getting better. The folks in the memory care unit are doing a great job with her. They even helped her start walking again, and she’s eating good food too. One thing I noticed is that the caregivers didn’t seem to talk to each other much at first. It took some time for them to figure out the best way to look after my loved one. But now, they’ve got a good routine going. Every month, the nurse checks on her and we had a chat recently. She told me all about how my loved one is doing physically and mentally, and asked if I had any questions or ideas. I shared some thoughts, and she’s starting to use them. They’re even kicking off a new program to keep the residents’ minds active. My loved one enjoys being around people, and she gets that from joining in on activities like bus trips. They really try to make a care plan that fits each person, and they’re taking great care of her. The place feels like home, with cozy spots to sit, a game room, dining areas, and private bedrooms for everyone.
