"Assisted Living Facility Faces High Staff Turnover, Causes Concern"
My mom's been here almost 2 years. We've seen 3 Directors, 3-4 head nurses, and 3-4 Market Directors come and go. It's been worrying. Elderly folks don't handle change well. The instability's a problem. Don't know why staff keeps leaving. We have to keep watch on everything. Thank goodness my mom has us!

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living Facility"
This place is okay, but some caregivers aren't great. The care isn't as good as they said it would be. Sometimes things disappear from residents' rooms. The building needs some fixing up. But the staff try hard with what they have. They listen to our concerns and act quickly. [Name removed] and [name removed] are really good. Also, the staff at the front desk is nice.

"Caring and Compassionate Staff at Desert Winds"
My 96-year-old mom lives at Desert Winds Assisted Living. The staff has been amazing, from the director to the cleaning and laundry staff. The front desk team is always helpful and very caring. Any questions can be answered by the sales manager, who goes above and beyond. The nursing staff is very compassionate and works with the residents’ doctors. The atmosphere is nurturing. Mom’s memory is slipping, but the staff makes sure she joins in activities. I have great peace of mind knowing Mom is in such a caring place.

"Not Our Favorite"
My husband and I visited Desert Winds Assisted Living while searching for a place. The staff were nice and helpful, but we didn't like that it had two floors and no elevator.

"Not Our Top Choice for Assisted Living"
I felt like it was super gloomy and reminded me of a hospital. I wouldn't want to have anyone stay there. Maybe it's better than some places, but it's definitely not as good as the one we picked.

I felt the place was pretty gloomy, and reminded me too much of a hospital. I could never let anyone stay there. I guess it's maybe a bit better than some others, but it still falls quite short compared to the place we ultimately picked.
