"Assisted Living Facility Review: Short on Staff, Services Lacking"

Inspirations took over but struggles to keep enough staff. Services fall behind. For instance, my mother-in-law's room went uncleaned for three weeks, yet we still paid full price. Charging for services not rendered isn't right. Despite this, my mother-in-law enjoys staying there, so she'll remain.

"Good Assisted Living Facility"

I think it's a good place.

"Elmcroft: False Advertising, Poor Service, and Neglected Patients"

For almost two years, my sister-in-law lived in Elmcroft. We got a call on April 2nd, asking us to remove her after we paid for the next month of stay. Apparently, according to them, she needs Memory Care. But isn't that what Elmcroft advertises itself as? Also, they tried to trick us into paying for an extra day and it took nearly four weeks to get the rest of her money back. We were promised a laundry service in the monthly fee, but we ended up washing her clothes ourselves. They couldn't keep up and left bags of pee-soaked clothing in her room. It wasn't just her clothes. It seemed like they didn't bother to check on her or take her to the bathroom. Whenever we came to see her, she'd be sitting in her wet clothes.

"Elmcroft Disregards Dementia Diagnosis, Leads to Major Family Rift"

My 91-year-old mom went to Elmcroft after a month in rehab. The doctors said she had dementia, but when I visited, she didn't remember me and thought the rehab was trying to hurt her. Then, Elmcroft didn't believe she had dementia. She couldn't call me because her phone was still in the box. Things spiraled from there. With someone's help, my mom canceled my Power of Attorney and cut off all ties with me. During her stay at Elmcroft, she spent over $50K. She gave away $15K and bought $36K of jewelry. In total, I spent around $180K for her stay there. I found out about my mom's passing from a bank letter. According to Elmcroft, my mom didn't want them to pass on any information about her to me. And yet, they had no problem continuing to take my money. I confronted Elmcroft about everything. They said they just followed what my mom wanted and suggested I get a lawyer. She had zero money left in her bank accounts and all her jewelry was gone. All this happened during the Covid-19 lockdown. So, who gained from all this?

"Brackets"

My mom stayed at Elmcroft, and it was a complete nightmare. The nurses and aides there seem to make up stories about the quality of care they're giving. And once the salesperson has you signed up, she totally forgets about you. While they managed to keep my mom alive during her stay, her room was typically dirty and smelled bad. Mom always seemed unkempt, and it appeared they didn't wash her face every day, keep her hydrated, or interact with her much. It comes across like they're not taking their job seriously - they simply didn't make good on their promises. Don't buy into their sales talk! It's all a trick to lure you in. If you value your loved ones' welfare, don't leave them in their questionable care.'

"Rushed Sign-Up, Incomplete Orientation, Responsive Staff"

They rushed to get us signed up, but missed some details. The orientation for the client wasn't thorough, so they're not happy about things they weren't told. Staff answer questions and requests, but only about what's in the Resident's Agreement.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

We moved dad here after mom passed. Mom had hospital stays, so she didn't know much. Dad liked the people, staff, residents, and food. Medication communication was a bit rough at first but got better. Staff was sympathetic to mom's situation, which we appreciated.

"Dog Care Adds Expense at Assisted Living Facility"

I really liked this facility. However, having to take the dog out twice a day could be an extra cost, especially since I don’t think my mom can manage it alone right now.

"Friendly Community with Family-Centric Choice"

We really liked this community. The staff was friendly, and they had great amenities. However, we chose a different community closer to our family.

"Warm and Clean Community with Great Meals and Courtyard"

The staff here are really friendly and you get to know them well. The place is very clean and it's enjoyable to come here. The food is really good from what we've tried, it's tasty and they offer a lot of different things. My parents haven't been on any outings yet because the bus just got back from being fixed. We like to sit in the courtyard, it's pretty and safe. It feels like you're outside but you're still inside the community. The staff are very good but sometimes they could be a little quicker. My dad tries to take care of my mom when it takes too long for someone to come after he pushes the button.

"Avoid This Facility: Negligence Led to Serious Injury"

Don't ever send anyone here, I'd rather give them no stars. If you don't want your loved ones falling and being lied to about their condition, avoid this place at all costs. My loved one experienced spine complications two weeks after a fall they said wasn't serious.

"Mixed Feelings about Assisted Living Facility"

I think this place is okay, but it could be better. The building and grounds look nice because they take care of them well. They have fun activities every day for the people who live here. The food they serve is healthy and there are lots of different choices. I might suggest this place to someone else.
