"Mixed Experience at Emerald Springs Senior Living"
My mom stayed at Emerald Springs for Respite Care. She was supposed to be there for a few weeks, but she left after 5 days. At first, I would have given the place a 4-star rating, but when she left, I'd only give it a 2. Besides having bugs, the place seemed clean overall. I might recommend this place, but with some caution, because I believe the bugs were just a one-time problem. They did try to fix it. The staff was really helpful.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I feel like the workers aren't trained properly and act unprofessional. They don't seem to know enough. The person who sold us the place was rude. The one who assessed our needs didn't talk much with our family and wasn't friendly. The maintenance crew didn't finish their tasks. They didn't check my loved one's medicine for three days after we moved in. It took another day and a meeting about care to fix things. But, the manager, [name removed], was really great!

"Medication Management Needs Improvement"
I think they should handle their medication technicians better. We've had some problems with that since we moved here.

"New management, higher prices"
The community just got new management. There was a recent price increase. Make sure to check everything before moving in.

"COVID Restrictions Impact Assisted Living Experience"
Our family member was in assisted living, which was great. But now, due to COVID, they’ve been moved to memory care. Sadly, we haven’t been able to see their new room since March, and there have been no activities.

"Nice place, but too big for my mother-in-law. Friendly staff."
We visited this place a while ago. We really liked it because it was nice. But, it was too big for my mother-in-law. The people who worked there were friendly and kind. We thought my mother-in-law needed a smaller place that wasn't as busy.

"Waitress's Rushed Service Dampens Otherwise Pleasant Visit"
A few weeks ago, my husband and I had the opportunity to visit a family member at an assisted living facility. We were delighted to join him for lunch. The food was delicious, and it was heartwarming to see the residents interacting with each other. However, one particular waitress's behavior was disappointing. She never smiled and seemed to rush the residents with their orders. Her focus appeared to be more on cleaning tables and preparing for dinner rather than attending to the residents who were still dining. She didn't take the time to explain the menu to them, which was necessary considering some of them were hard of hearing or a bit confused. It was clear that the residents felt rushed and uncomfortable. In contrast, the other waitresses were much more friendly and attentive. They interacted warmly with the residents and weren't distant or aloof. This particular waitress, whose name I learned was she, doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the team. In my opinion, she has a lot to learn about service, kindness, patience, and the importance of a smile.

"Less-than-Stellar Service from Yolanda Mars Assisted Facility Visit"
I had the opportunity to visit a family member a few weeks back with my spouse. We were invited to dine for lunch, which was quite delicious, and I liked the vibe of the place, witnessing other inhabitants socialize. However, my visit was marred by one of the waitresses' lack of courtesy. She did not exhibit any warmth, seemed rushed with the orders, and more interested in cleaning up than engaging with the seniors. As lunchtime dwindled, I saw seniors arrive after what looked like a busy hour and she continued to distance herself, more focused on the table setup for dinner. When she did deal with them, the encounter was unkindly rushed. It was evident that the residents felt uncomfortable and rushed. Unfortunately, she failed to considerately inform them about menu options, which is necessary because of some hearing impairments and confusion in some residents. Other waitstaff seemed more considerate and engaged, consistently exhibiting a friendly attitude lacking in this particular waitress. She was a stark contrast to them and in my view, she doesn't fit in their team. If you're curious, her name was Yolanda. Compared to her peers, she needs to develop essential soft skills, understand that her primary duty is to cater with kindness and patience and most importantly, always wear a smile. Signed, "Everyone is always under someone's watchful eye

"Amazing Support from Emerald Springs Staff"
Erma and Julie, the marketing directors, are my heroes. They helped me through a tough time and gave me the advice and support I needed to get my mom into Emerald Springs. My mom was very difficult, but they never gave up and were always understanding and helpful. They are both 5-star material.

"Mixed Experience at Emerald Springs Assisted Living"
Emerald Springs is a pretty nice place overall (especially for Yuma!). The people who run it were really nice and helpful when we moved in. The building itself is clean and in a beautiful spot. But there's one big problem we've had. Even though they say it's easy for wheelchairs, it's actually really hard to move around in one. Just going from her room to the dining room, there are different types of floors that stop her wheelchair if no one pushes her. It seems like they didn't plan it out well. We asked about adding something to help, but we haven't heard back yet.

"Clean, friendly staff, good food, standard activities, need more caregivers."
The place is really clean, and the people who work there are super nice. The food they serve is pretty good compared to other places we've tried. They have activities, but they're not really different or exciting. It would be better if they had more people to help out. Overall, it's a nice-looking place.
