"Feels Less Like a Home, More Like a Hospital Ward"
When I first saw this place, it seemed lovely. However, their area for folks with memory issues reminded me of a hospital ward. They had giant doors that kept them confined. They had tiny spaces to sleep but I wouldn't really call them bedrooms. There was just a bed in each room and barely any privacy. It doesn't feel at all like home, more like you're having a sleepover at a school. It felt as though all the people there were quite unwell mentally.

""Decent Assisted Living Facility with Room for Improvements""
The place looks nice overall and the room is bigger than most others. It seems like they're having difficulty fixing messy work done previously with outside painting. The floor in the living area is covered with linoleum and there's no dishwasher, which isn't really a big problem. A small thing that bothers me is the color of the walls all around. The representative said they will find out if we can paint the inside ourselves.

"Costly and Average Assisted Living Community"
We visited this place, but honestly, I didn't like it. The cost was more than other places we checked out. Nothing truly grabbed my attention or made me want to move in. The staff were friendly, but overall, the community just didn't appeal to me.

Caring Child
"Ups and Downs on Assisted Living Experience"
My dad spent a few years at Fellowship Square, and it was awesome. After he moved to the Oasis, a memory care place, it went downhill. Ended up moving him out in just a few weeks. Their advice is not to visit for the first two weeks, supposedly to help them get used to things. Don't follow that rule. Make sure you visit a lot and monitor the care. The promised daily activities and community involvement never happened. The indoor and outdoor space they have is too cramped. None of the said daily outdoor activities took place. While the daily caregivers are really good, the people in charge tell lies. They were caught off guard by his many kids constantly checking in on him and finding out about the poor care.

"Terribly Disappointing Experience with Poor Living Conditions"
We absolutely had a terrible time at this assisted living facility. My mom was put in a room that was infested with mold, which gave her ill health. Her room conditions were far from being livable or healthy. Their service fell way below our expectations. This community let me down greatly. Any problems we raised were left unattended. I would give them low scores and definitely dis-encourage anyone considering this place.

"Poor Air Quality in Assisted Living Facility Makes Resident Sick"
The medical staff at this assisted living facility seemed uninterested and preoccupied. The medical equipment, like the blood pressure monitor, was on par with what you'd find at a local pharmacy. The regular one was difficult to find, being not immediately accessible. My mom's unit was lived in for a decade before we moved in. The renovation was alright, but the air conditioning system was ridden with mold and mildew. My mom ended up with a serious upper respiratory infection due to the poor air quality. When we decided to move her to a different facility, we asked the director if we could pay for only one month. Even though the poor conditions were their fault, they insisted on a payment equal to 1.5 months. We paid for one month and then they sent our bill to a collection agency. They stubbornly stick to the rules, even though we may have had valid complaints over the poor air quality.

"New Wing Added to Large Arizona Assisted Living Complex"
New Addition to an Expansive Assisted Living Facility". The facility has recently added a new section to its large assisted and independent living apartments. This new space will house an estimated 50 people requiring assisted care, and 15 requiring memory care (which is securely locked). If your parent's attempts to leave were managed, they could join in activities for assisted living... As of now, there aren't many activities for memory-care because there aren't many residents yet. This operation is run by a non-profit, faith-based company only in Arizona (not across the country). It costs around $4,000/month (including medication management) with an additional $1,000 for moving in. Extra care levels are available for needs like eating, transferring in and out of a wheelchair, and so on.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility: Appreciated Pricing but Concerned"
I'm unsure about this place. The amount of meals each month seems less than expected. Plus, there's no phone? It's an old facility, but there's a brand-new assisted living area. Despite being new, there's a lack of storage space, like in the exercise room, which is common in a lot of buildings. I liked how they were the only place to send me their prices before I visited. However, there's a lot of car noise and not enough outdoor spaces. For assisted living, there are more meals, but the 'one-meal' thing is for those living independently.

"Observant Director in Large Facility with Room for Improvement"
The director pays a lot of attention. It's a huge place with several three-story buildings. It mainly caters to those who can live independently but is starting to accommodate those who need assisted or directed care. Pros: The apartments are big. I met a resident who seemed really happy. There's plenty of parking for visitors. Cons: You have to go outside to get to activities and the dining area, which can be really hot in the summer. It looks like they're getting their staff for directed care from Phoenix until they finish and open a new building for assisted living. They charge for everything separately, which could make it more expensive. The apartments look a bit old. The entrance to the bathroom is really small.

"Talked with Boss. Pretty Good Facility with Reasonable Entry Fee"
Talked with the head person. The place seemed pretty good, with the cost to move in not too high. There were two people per room in the area for those with memory problems, but it still looked okay. The places to eat were super clean.

"Prices for Assisted Living facilities with added benefits outlined."
I talked to a really friendly representative. They told me that one-bedroom apartments start at $1390 per month and a deluxe apartment with more space costs $1645. These prices include 25 meals, house cleaning every two weeks, an emergency check-in button, and medical management for an extra $200 per month. A doctor can visit if they're within the area. There isn't a washer or dryer in each unit, but laundry machines are available for use. There's also an elevator. Using the community laundry is free. Assisted living begins at $3395 plus another $500 for managing medication, and provides three meals daily, snacks, showers, transportation, and two rounds of laundry each week. You would have to pay for phone and additional cable services beyond the basic package that’s included.
