"Good Location but Needs Better Management"

We chose this community because of the location and a friend's recommendation, who used to work here before the ownership changed. They let go of some very good staff and haven't replaced them yet. There was a big price increase in memory care, supposedly for 'improvements.' Some improvements are silly, and some just seem like they needed to spend money. After talking to a few caregivers, it seems like the new owners should have given raises to keep good employees.

"Some issues, but overall clean and good activities"

It looks really clean to me. My mom noticed a few things that weren't up to her standard. I haven't talked much with the staff, but we haven't had any issues. My parents don't really like the food. There have been lots of renovations that have affected the dining experience. The activities seem good. My mom has enjoyed some of them. $7,000 a month for rent, food, and light cleaning is hard to handle.

"Disappointing Atmosphere and Lack of Activities at Fountain View Village"

I visited Fountain View Village, and it seemed a bit gloomy. There weren't many things happening, and the area around wasn't pleasant. I didn't stick around because I knew it wouldn't suit my loved one.

"Clean and Safe Living Space"

I took a virtual tour of this assisted living facility because of the pandemic. The staff showed me around using video calls. They were very friendly and answered all my questions. The rooms looked cozy, and they have lots of activities for residents. It seemed like a safe place for seniors. I liked that they focused on keeping everything clean. I might consider this place for my grandma.

"Great staff and activities, meals are typical but good"

We haven't had any issues with cleanliness here so far. The staff is excellent and provides great care. The meals are good, though they are typical of what you'd find in institutional settings, but the dining service is fantastic. The activities are enjoyable, and the activities director is wonderful. They always come up with new, fun, and creative things for the residents to do.

"Neglected and Misrepresented at FVV Assisted Living Facility"

My dad was moved to FVV from the hospital because he required rehab, a service they claim to offer. The only Rehab provided was being helped out of bed once per day. We coordinated a transfer to a different facility. However, it took FVV nearly two weeks to answer the convoluted process after the case manager was frequently asked by the insurance company to provide paperwork for approval. The documents deceitfully suggested that my Dad only needed a minor assist to stand up, leading to claim denial by the insurance company and him being discharged from FVV. Contrarily, my dad can't stand without help and is restricted to taking a few steps with the aid of a walker, posing a hardship for my 77-year-old mom. We were promised help to organize home rehabilitation; Yet, it's been a week without any action. Since the facility director hasn't replied to my message, I guess she doesn’t find the residents’ well-being important either. If only they had done their job, my dad's path to independent living would have been smoother.

"Clean and well-maintained but pricey with limited amenities."

The place charges for every little thing, and it doesn't have as many cool extras as the other spots, even though it's all shiny and clean.

"Amazing care and support at Fountain View Village rehab!"

I spent 3 weeks in rehab at Fountain View Village after unexpected spine surgery. At first, I was in a lot of pain and scared. The nursing staff and CNAs were amazing and made a huge difference. As I started therapy, I was worried if I'd ever go home. But it quickly became clear that the team’s hard work and skill were getting me back on track. My progress was incredible, thanks to the excellent OTs and PTs. The admin staff also showed great care and support. I’m so thankful for their help in getting me home and on the road to recovery. If you need rehab, don’t hesitate to choose this place. It’s one of the best!

"Shockingly Negligent Staff and Unacceptable Conditions at Assisted Living Facility"

Without a doubt, this is the absolute worst assisted living facility I've ever encountered. The staff might seem nice during your initial visit, but their pleasant facade fades as soon as those doors close behind you. In my experience, they're the most discourteous and unreliable people you'd ever meet. It's really unsettling - this place seems to find neglect and abuse, both physical and mental, acceptable. If you favor such circumstances, then this facility is absolutely right for you! Residents who are independent might not see much of the distressing incidents that happen here. However, those who need more help truly get the short end of the stick. I have borne witness to their tears, seen them treated like dirt, ignored, roughly handled, and worse in every conceivable way. If you value and love your family, I implore you - don't ever let them step foot in this place.

"Tour was great but lacked brightness and comfort for mom."

The people showing us around were super nice and knew a lot about the place. But it wasn't as cheery and cozy as we hoped for my mom.
