"Aged facility with cleanliness issues and limited care options"
I visited this place, and I wasn't really impressed. It was clean enough, but the building itself looked pretty old. The room they showed us had carpet, and it was old and smelly. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't what we wanted. The mood there just felt sad. They had specific times for visits. I think the level of care was more than my loved one needed.

"Activities Abound"
We're pleased with our loved one's care, but staffing challenges affect communication and consistency. Despite that, there are ample activities for residents.

"Supportive Staff, Average Food, Great Communication"
They were great to work with and very patient. The staff was very helpful. The food was okay, just average cafeteria food. But I really appreciated how much they stayed in touch with us. It took us a long time to place my mother because she really didn't want to go. When it became clear that she needed memory care instead, which Glassford doesn't offer, they helped us find the right place for her to get the care she needed.

"Glassford Place Lacks Activities and Housekeeping, Has Loving Staff"
The folks working at Glassford Place, from the receptionist, nurses, and caregivers to the kitchen staff, are great, and so are the people living there. But the activities offered are disappointing. There aren't enough choices, and when something's planned, it often doesn't happen because there aren't enough people or there's no staff to lead it. The place really needs a dedicated full-time activity director. I was told that most residents just hang out in their rooms, watch TV, or fold laundry between meals. The housekeeping isn't the best either. With just one person doing all the cleaning, rooms only get tidied once a week and deep cleaned once a month. I honestly can't recommend this place unless your loved one stays in bed most of the time. It's a shame the director and head nurse don't seem to take charge in this area and leave everything to the activity director. They should realize that keeping the residents engaged and active is a big part of keeping them healthy. It's too bad I can't say better things about Glassford Place. The staff here are full of kindness and love, and without them, I don't know how the place would manage.

"Limited Activities at Glassford Despite Excellent Staff"
The people working at Glassford Place, from the reception to the kitchen, including the nurses and caregivers, are just great, and so are the people who live there. But I must say, it's a real letdown to see that there are barely any activities. A lot of them aren't even happening because there's not enough people joining in, or because there's no one to get the activity started. It could do so much good for Glassford Place if they got a new, full-time activities director. The staff even told me that residents mainly just stay in their rooms to watch T.V or fold clothes when they're not eating. Even cleaning isn't done every day. The only housekeeper has to clean everyone's room once a week, with a 'deep' clean happening just once a month. Honestly, the only people I could suggest this place to are those who's loved one can't really get out of bed. It's a shame that the director and lead nurse don't get involved with what's happening at Glassford Place and leave it all to the activities director. They should know that keeping the mind active is key to keeping residents healthy and happy. I wish I could have said more good things about Glassford Place, because they have a lot of really caring people working there, and it seems like they're the only ones keeping it running.

"Things They Take from You"
Glass Ford Place has some issues. The staff enters rooms without knocking, and they confiscate over-the-counter vitamins and supplements unless you have a doctor's prescription. Despite this, they do a decent job considering the level of care needed. State regulations bind them.

"Great care and attention from the staff!"
I’ve been very happy with the people who work here and how they care for my mom. The whole place is really nice. It’s a smaller facility, so there aren’t many residents, which means there’s a lot of one-on-one care. Everything is on one level, which makes it safer and more secure, and I really like that. They have plenty of activities, and they check in on everyone often, which was a concern for me because I didn’t want her to be in her room all day. The food seems very good. They have chair exercises three times a week, games on different days, and there's a domino game almost every day. They also do many different crafts. On Fridays, they take the residents out for lunch if they want to go, and someone even comes in to do their hair if they’d like. The staff has been very proactive in addressing my concerns, and they’re very open to our needs. I would recommend this place, and I already have!

"Amazing care and support for my mom!"
I love this smaller place for my mom. They really go above and beyond to check on her and make sure she is okay. The staff is super friendly. If I leave a message, they call me back quickly. They have a secure courtyard for residents to go outside. They even have a hair salon come in once a week. There are lots of daily activities, like music, and they help my mom with bingo. The food is good and served three times a day. My mom is a veteran, and they are helping me with all the paperwork, which is amazing. I would recommend this community if you need more care.

"Friendly Staff, But Facility Feels Old"
We checked out this place and it was just okay. It seems pretty old and could really use some new stuff and brighter lights inside. It was clean, but all the things in there felt old-fashioned and it didn’t feel super inviting. The people working there were super kind and showed us around nicely, and the folks in the dining area really made sure to say hi to us when we passed by.

"Friendly Staff, But Facility Needs Updating"
We visited this assisted living facility and nothing really impressed us. It looks old and could definitely use some remodeling and more natural light inside. Yes, it was clean, but all the stuff looked old which made it feel less welcoming. The people working there were quite friendly and helpful during our tour though, and the folks who serve food made a special effort to greet us as we came in.

"Unsatisfactory Assisted Living Facility Review"
I visited recently to find a home for my mom. The place looked dirty, with worn-out furniture. First impression wasn't good. The nurse didn't seem interested in my mom's condition. Sales lady was unhelpful and confusing. Food was awful, especially for diabetics like my mom. Dining service was bad; had to get my own drink. The activity man was the only nice person there. Morning shift was aggressive and pushy, especially the red-haired. Left hating the place, worried for others. Please stay away.

"Avoid This Poorly Managed, Unwelcoming Assisted Living Facility"
I recently visited this assisted living facility with the hope of finding an ideal home for my mother. The first thing that stood out to me was the dirty condition of the facility, which extended to the worn-out furniture. This was my initial impression. I then met with one of the nurses and honestly, I didn't get a comfortable feeling from her. She didn't seem to listen or care when I was sharing about my mother's current condition, which I found disrespectful. Next, I was given a tour by one of the sales representatives who was rather uninformative. She was unable to answer my queries satisfactorily and often shifted the topic. This left me utterly confused. The food situation wasn't any better. The meals were served cold with small portions. When I inquired about special diets for diabetic patients like my mother, I was disappointed to learn they didn't cater for that. The dining service was subpar, forcing me to fetch my own drink despite the presence of four caregivers in the dining area. The only saving grace was the gentleman in charge of activities who was warm, welcoming, and quite cordial. However, the behavior of the morning shift, especially one caregiver with red hair name was overly aggressive and pushy. I left the facility with an overwhelming disapproval and a sense of worry for those who have family members living there. I implore you to steer clear of this poorly staffed home.

"Wonderful Care and Services, Sad to Leave for Family"
The staff here is very efficient and always ready to help with moving, using the toilet, and taking showers. Meals are well planned, and the cooks are happy to fulfill most requests. They also take me to doctor visits and help schedule my lab tests right here. I’m sad to leave, but I’m moving to be closer to my kids.

"Good Experience While It Lasted"
My wife stayed at Glassford Place for a short time before her condition got worse. While she was there and doing well, she joined in activities and never complained about the food, so it must have been good. She made friends with some residents and staff. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. We hoped she could stay longer, but we are very pleased with our experience and would recommend it.

"Could Use More Staff But Friendly Atmosphere"
Glassford Place has been an overall positive experience for us, but it's almost time for us to move out on March 14th. I unfortunately have to highlight one downside, that the food quality here is pretty disappointing, which ultimately lies on the cooks. The staff here, however, is exceptional - they're always helpful and friendly. My only concern is that there seems to be fewer staff members than necessary, meaning they could really use some extra hands. My husband's made progress here and has even picked up some new hobbies which has been pleasant to see. But when it comes down to it, I don't entirely think the cost of the stay mirrored the value we received.

"Affordable with nice rooms, but limited long-term care options."
The assisted living facility has a nice appeal with really good rooms. The prices are what we expected, and the service fees change depending on the level of care needed. However, they don't have a plan for long-term care once all the money is used up. If you need long-term care, you'll have to wait for a spot at a Payson facility, and we were told there's a two-year waiting list. Additionally, there's a non-refundable community fee of $2,000.

"Absolutely the Best!"
My 89-year-old mother lived at Glassford Place for the last 9 months of her life. She had severe dementia, but received excellent care and heartfelt compassion from everyone, from the Executive Director to the cleaning staff. They treated her like a loved one, not just a resident. They truly cared, and it showed in their treatment of her. I was regularly informed about her condition and care. When she passed away, I saw how much the staff cared. After touring several facilities, I chose Glassford Place, and it was the perfect choice. I recommend it to anyone looking for assisted living for their loved one.

"Initial Impressions Positive, But Needs Increased and Care Fell Short"
Initially, the setup seemed ideal, with a welcoming atmosphere and friendly people. Our first encounters were positive. However, as requirements for increased care emerged, we faced challenges. The facility raised prices, stating they could only provide temporary additional care since their focus was on more self-sufficient individuals. Despite an onsite home care agency looking after her, there was room for more supervision of these caregivers. Coming from a skilled nursing establishment, a better initial assessment might have been beneficial. While we are grateful for their initial assistance, the experience overall was mixed.

"Very Nice Place for Semi-Independent Residents"
Glassford Place does a very good job with what they provide. It's a nice, modern, clean, well-kept facility. The staff is friendly and offers a good amount of assistance to their residents. They are best suited for semi-independent residents, so it wasn't the best option for my loved one. But for those who fit their level of care, it's a fantastic place.

"They Are Doing Wonderful!"
They are doing wonderful! It’s a very nice place. I am very happy with them. It’s really clean. The staff are cheerful and attentive, and they take good care of their patients. Communication is great whether there’s a problem or not. They have a lot of activities, and the residents were all participating and having fun. Their doctor's reputation is unbelievably good. They were the best place we looked at. They messed up the billing the first month but caught it right away and told me.

"Great place with caring staff!"
I was very happy with how professional the staff was, from our first phone call to the tour and move-in. Glassford Place felt just like home and was the perfect community for my dad. They helped me with everything when moving him from another place where he wasn’t getting good care. Their visiting doctor makes it much easier for me when Dad needs a check-up. Thank you, Glassford Place!
