"Good environment for dementia/Alzheimer's after touring multiple places."

It's nice for dementia/Alzheimer's; toured 4 places before deciding.

"Senita Ridge"

Senita Ridge looked really nice to me. The rooms were big. But it felt a bit empty inside. I noticed people mostly sitting around, not much happening.

"Mixed Experience at Senita Ridge Assisted Living Facility"

My experience at Senita Ridge was okay, but had issues. It seemed they didn't have enough staff, like many places nowadays. Inside, things weren't organized well. I didn't think the managers were good. When my loved one needed hospice care, Senita Ridge didn't communicate well with them, especially at the end. The facilities were average. The medical care unit was great, but the memory care unit wasn't. At first, everything seemed fine, but after moving in, it felt like she was forgotten.

"Nice Rooms, But Quick Tour"

The rooms were pretty cool, but they rushed us through the tour.

"Stay Clear! Poor Practices and Neglect Mar This Facility"

Don't subject your loved ones to this facility! Despite welcoming appearances, the current management team doesn't stick around for long, and the whole staff is less considerate than they seem. The few long-term caregivers present are wonderful, but they just can't make up for the poor practices of the management. Our mom spent over 5 years here in Memory Care. Their ads claim that they have a specialized team for Alzheimer's - that they work closely with family, residents, and staff, to provide needed care. But I've always been skeptical about the staff's training. They raise their voice when speaking to demented residents that are not even hard of hearing. The way they treat residents is simply appalling to me - as if they were either dim-witted or hearing-challenged. Asserting that they have a 'professionally trained' team is downright outrageous. This facility has a lot of problems, mainly short-staffing. There have been times when just one caregiver was left to look after all residents in Memory Care. If your loved one keeps getting bed sores, it's probably due to lack of staffing and proper diaper changes, causing them to stay in urine-soaked diapers for long hours. This is pure neglect. There's barely any supervision in the facility. And let's not forget about the unsatisfactory food quality, sometimes served too cold or dangerously hot. Such poor handling of dementia patients is thoughtless, careless, and unsafe. We have long moved our mom to a better place with suitable care. In conclusion: don't let your first impression deceive you. I would never recommend this facility to anyone, friend or foe. Steer clear of this place!

"Great care but experienced leadership changes during our stay"

Our time at The Inn at Amethyst was really good. I loved it. The people there were great and very helpful to my mother and her needs. They were friendly and kind to the residents, which was nice to see. My mother needed memory care, and the only issue I had was that the community lost their head director and head nurse around that time. There was a transition period with new leaders coming in. I would advise anyone considering senior care to make sure everything is covered and your insurance is set up, so you're not caught off guard by unexpected situations.

"Make Sure Your Insurance and Paperwork Are Up to Date"

Our experience at The Inn at Amethyst was really positive. I loved it there. The staff was great and very helpful with my mother's needs. They were friendly and kind to the residents, which was nice to see. My mother needed memory care, and the only issue we had was that during this time, the facility lost their head director and head nurse. So, there was a transition period while they got new leaders. For anyone considering senior care, make sure you have all your insurance and paperwork in order to avoid any surprises.

"Amethyst Assisted Living Review"

The Amethyst is good. They have smart people helping everyone from start to finish while my mom stayed there. There was lots of paperwork and running around for documents, but it helped make a good plan for her care. They answered all questions, but sometimes not quickly. When we told them about laundry and food, they fixed it well. All the staff are respectful and caring. The place feels like a nice hotel with pretty areas and is safe. The dining room and living room are nice, and they have fun things to do. Mom didn't come willingly, but after 6 weeks, she's getting used to it. She has a friend, laughs sometimes, and wants more of her stuff in her room. It's just what I wanted!

"My aunt is very happy with the care and facility"

I live a few states away, so I haven’t been able to keep a close eye on everything, but I’m really impressed overall. The setup process went smoothly from the start. My aunt seems very happy there, and the care has been excellent. She says the staff is very helpful and kind. The facility itself is also very nice and pleasant. One thing they could work on is the food.

"Large and corporate, not family-friendly but still nice assisted living."

This place is really nice, but it's a lot bigger than the one we picked for our family member. It has many floors. If you want a smaller place that feels more like a family, this might not be it. This one feels more like a big company.

"Mixed Feelings About Amethyst Assisted Living"

We checked out many places. Amethyst is nice, but feels controlling. Food's good sometimes. Memory care has a patio, though locked. Clothes turned pink. Loved one's clothes stay clean.

"Garden at Amethyst Assisted Living Review"

This review is about the Garden at Amethyst. It's divided into sections for different care needs. It's clean and the staff are friendly. The food is really good, I'd rate it five stars. They do most things well. The person in charge of activities is great and very involved.

"Assisted Living Review: Staff Cuts Impact Care Quality"

My husband's mom stays at the Inn at Amethyst. Lately, they've been reducing the number of workers. She has Alzheimer's and doesn't understand much or know people, but the care she gets is okay. It's just that they don't have as many caregivers as before.

"Staff Reductions at the Inn at Amethyst"

My husband's mom lives at the Inn at Amethyst. Over the past few years, they keep cutting back on staff. She has Alzheimer's and doesn't really know what's going on or recognize anyone. The care she gets is fine, but they don't have as many caregivers as they used to.

"Welcoming Assisted Living with Friendly Staff and Daily Activities"

My wife's been there 2 weeks. It's pretty good. No issues. Staff's friendly. She likes them, adjusting well. Food's okay, but she's not a big eater. She's starting to join activities: bible study and exercise every day.

"Inn Review: Close Proximity, Consistent Care, Limited Staff Interaction"

I picked the Inn because it's close and offers continuous care. It's vital. Sometimes, I wish staff interacted more with residents. They work hard, but could engage residents better. Everyone's needs are met; staff assist immobile residents. But more attention is needed for those mobile, encouraging participation.

"Mixed Feelings for Mother in Lovely Assisted Living Facility"

Nice place. Mom enjoyed it at first but then didn't like the thought of moving. They should keep working on that idea.
