"Residents' Opinions Matter Most About Assisted Living Experience"

I think it would be a good idea to ask the residents what they think because they know best. I haven't eaten there, so I can't say anything about the food. I also don't join in the activities, so the residents would know better about that too. Just my two cents!

"Disappointing Experience at Phoenix Assisted Living Facility"

I kinda liked that it was nearer to downtown Phoenix, but there were two things I didn't like: The sales lady talked more about the community instead of figuring out my Mom's needs. It smelled like a nursing home filled with pee. Even in the independent living area. The stench was awful. I dreaded to imagine what the assisted or memory care sections smelled like.

"Informative Tour with Knowledgeable Staff; Budget Consideration Required"

We had a great time on the tour. The owner was excellent. She knew a lot and answered all our questions. We don't think it's right for us financially. Thanks for letting us check it out.

"Great Help and Knowledge!"

She was really nice and knew a lot.

"A Wonderful Place for Mom's Lasting Happiness"

When we moved my mom to Mountain Park Sr. Living, we really liked the new building and beautiful decorations. The food choices were special, and the employees were kind and caring. Now, over 10 years later, we celebrated my mom's 100th birthday there during a partial lockdown in the pandemic. It was a big surprise. She couldn't have had a better birthday thanks to the activities staff, dining staff, and many others. They sang to her, gave her a special birthday dinner, and decorated with balloons and banners! Who would have guessed that more than 10 years later, we would still get excellent service from the housekeeping, food service, and caring, considerate staff?

"Convenient and Adequate Assisted Living with Recommendations"

We picked Mountain Park because it seemed nice and convenient, and they had space when we needed it. The rooms are big enough for her. I would suggest it to others searching.

"Highly recommended, smooth transition, and caring staff. Mother is happy."

Mountain Park was highly recommended by a close friend whose grandmother lived in their memory care section for 9 years. When we contacted Mountain Park for our mother, who could no longer live alone, the staff, especially [name], were very helpful in guiding us through the process. We made plans for our mother's move over a couple of months and smoothly transitioned her into the assisted living area. Our mother loves Mountain Park, the grounds, public areas, and her studio with views of blooming trees and South Mountain. We couldn't be happier because our mother is happy, and we trust the staff’s support and care throughout this process. Thank you to all the staff!

"Liked facility, budget exceeded."

We really liked the facility, but extra costs exceeded our budget.

"A Welcoming Community"

When we visited, the community seemed pleasant. The people we met were friendly, and the grounds were well-kept. Unfortunately, they didn't have any openings when we were ready for Mom to move.

"Clean, tidy, and activities—food could use some improvement!"

My parents are adjusting well at Mountain Park. The place is clean, and they offer housekeeping to help keep their apartment tidy. The food is okay, though a bit bland and served in small portions. They also have activities for when my parents are more settled.

"Good place with friendly staff and fun activities for seniors!"

We liked this place because the workers were really good at their jobs. It looked clean, which was nice. It was bigger than we thought it would be, though. They had stuff to do like playing cards.

"Beware, High Price Doesn't Promise Quality Care"

When they first get you to say yes, you really believe your family member will get great help. But that's not even close! The nurses and their program just aren't that good. Too much money for the kind of help you actually get...

"Top-Notch Assisted Living: A True Gem for Seniors"

Okay, so I had to find a great place for my mom to live. We wanted her to be happy, safe, and comfy, right? We checked out a bunch of places here in the valley. Some were pretty good, but only one ticked all our boxes. Brenda and Kevin from Mountain Park Senior Living in Phoenix were awesome. They were super excited about their place and made us feel really welcome. The people living there were all smiles and chatted with us happily. We never felt rushed or like they were putting on a show. They gave us a cool tour, and even did it again when more family wanted to see it. Waiting for moving day is the toughest part now. Seriously, this place is fantastic. You won't find anywhere better for your loved one!

"Great Community with Loving Staff and Excellent Amenities"

We waited some time before finding the perfect place for my mom. She's really happy here and adores the staff. They're so kind to her and always ready to assist. The food is delicious, and there are fun activities at the community center. I think it's a fantastic place, and I'd definitely suggest it.

"A Community With Fun Activities"

My dad stayed at Mountain Park, and it was mostly good. The staff was nice, but I didn't like how often they changed. The community had fun activities, which my dad enjoyed. They take good care of the grounds, but the private rooms need more attention. Overall, A Place For Mom was helpful.

"Caring Staff and a Warm Place for Mom"

The staff here are really nice and always smiling. My mom has lived here for 5 months since my dad passed away. I feel like they really care about everyone and make sure their needs are met.

"Looked like a pleasant spot"

We visited this place while exploring care choices for our family. It seemed nice overall, and we thought about it as an option. The staff we met were friendly, and the facility was clean.

"Great care and lots of fun activities at this upscale facility"

Everyone here is really friendly and always says hi when we walk by. They really pay attention to their residents. The only problem we had was that some of the aides were taking their breaks in my mom’s apartment. This was a bit upsetting, but after we told them, it hasn’t happened again. The place is very clean, and they take excellent care of the residents. There are lots of fun activities to enjoy too. It’s definitely one of the nicer places around.

"Fake Praises After Negative Feedback"

A bogus review, that sounds more like an advertisement, appeared just after I criticised their nursing management for how they treated my dad. Here's the phony review: "Best Senior Living in Southeast Phoenix!

"Upset Over Poor Nursing Care at Mountain Park Facility"

Nursing management at this place is simply rotten. My dad, who is legally unable to see or hear, is given no patience or empathy. They can't seem to take it slow in explaining to him what's happening, leaving him feeling lost and mishandled. The solution from Mountain Park? They suggested moving him to a place that's eerily reminiscent of the horrifying mental institution in the movie 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest'. It's despicable how they treat my dad, a decorated Navy Aviator, who's nothing but a gentle old soul.

"Mixed Experience at Mountain Park Senior Living"

Mountain Park Senior Living is a pretty new place, just 18 months old, so they've had some problems as they grow. But overall, I think they do a good job of making a nice place for older folks to live on their own. I don't know about their Assisted Living or Memory Care parts, so I won't talk about them, but I'll mention how they affect the independent living part. They have nice places for everyone to hang out and comfy apartments. They offer lots of stuff for people to do, like card games, crafts, and book clubs. They also plan fun things like movie nights and trips. Every person has a way to call for help in their bathroom and to wear. They give rides for appointments and shopping if it's not too far. But there are some things to think about before choosing Mountain Park. The elevator breaks down a lot, especially on weekends. And there's usually only one working, so it gets busy. The food in the dining room is a big issue. Sometimes there isn't much to choose from, and they run out of stuff fast. People wish they had more healthy options and that they wouldn't run out of things so quickly. Overall, I think they do okay, but they need to fix the elevator and the food problems to be really good.
