"Great facility but lacked the warm feeling we wanted"
Olive Grove is a great place. We found it hard to choose between them and another place, but it was a tough call. All the residents looked happy and had smiles. We just didn’t feel as warm when we walked in. But it’s a really nice place.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
As a current resident, I find the food to be good, the rooms okay, but the bed bugs are horrible. On the bright side, the nursing staff is good, and the cockroaches are mostly under control.

"Impossible to Contact Staff at Assisted Living Facility"
I couldn't get a hold of anyone at this place, whether it was the director, office staff, kitchen crew, or worst of all, the nurses. I tried calling every phone number I could find. It's really worrying.

"Inconsistent Care, Management, and False Reviews at Assisted Living Facility"
They just don't follow their own rules and directions. Bed bug issues happen way too much, they don't answer call lights, and they're bad at giving out medication rightly or quickly. This place could be awesome, but the people running it aren't good and many of the caregivers often don't show enough consistent care or worry for the people living here. Also, lots of the 5 star reviews online are done by people who work there now or before, and they often contact people who give bad reviews and ask them to switch it or delete it.

"Don't You Dare Make Your Dad Live Here"
I visited this place when I was searching for somewhere for my dad to stay. The place was really dirty. There were marks on the carpet and they had windows that were broken. I was wondering if there were any paths to walk on but there weren’t any, it was all just one huge parking lot. They guided me to a patio that had only one bush and they said there was a park a block away for people to use. One of the doors to the patio was broken because they said someone had crashed into it with their wheelchair, but the glass seemed to be thick. There were really noticeable spots on the carpet and the walls had a lot of marks. Wherever you looked, there were stains. I wanted to know how often they clean their carpet and they told me it happens every three months. The lady who showed us around had a closet in her office with a door lying on its side. It seemed to be like this for a long time. The first time we visited, I asked if we could tour around but she said there wasn't anyone to help with that. I looked around and the only workers were in the kitchen, which was shocking. The chairs in the dining room were basically folding chairs and again, they had lots of stains. The cost was extremely high. They wanted $3000 as a starting cost and extra for various levels of caregiving. It didn't smell bad but it looked so dirty. There was no homely feeling at all. All I could think was, "you better not make your dad live here." I would never suggest this place to anyone.

""Facility Terrible, Bees in Dining Room, Mom Nearly Starved""
This place is terrible! Bees were swarming around the ceiling in the so-called 'dining room' - more like 'here, take this awful meal and eat it yourself'. My mom nearly starved in there.

"High-Priced Assisted Living Facility in Terrible Condition & Unhelpful Staff"
This place is awful! It costs more than other facilities I've seen, but it's falling apart. There's a problem with mold, the roofs are leaking, and the staff doesn't seem to help at all. Inspection of this place left me rattled. I couldn't wrap my head around how people could actually live here. It was truly sad, and I knew right off the bat that there was no way I would ever let anyone live there.

"Absolutely Refuse To Place Anyone In This Awful Home"
This place is just awful. It costs more compared to other homes I checked out, but it's in bad shape. It has issues with mold, the ceilings leak, and the people working there didn't help at all. This place really upset me. I couldn't process the fact that folks actually live here. It was really sad, and I could clearly tell that there's no way I'd be subjecting anyone to this place.

"Disappointing Experience at Memory Care Facility: Limited Activities, Repetitive Meals"
My friend was doing okay at their Memory Care place. At first, we were really happy, but things have changed now. The meals used to be nice and varied, and they tasted really good. But lately, they serve the same thing for every meal. Leftover bacon from breakfast even ends up on the lunch and dinner plates. Also, there aren't many activities for the residents to enjoy. The staff isn't very friendly either. Sometimes it seems like they ignore the residents. My friend told me that when she asks for something, they either say, "I don't want to hear about it" or "I don't care." We're thinking about moving them to a better community.

"Joy Fades in Assisted Living Facility Experience"
My pal's doing okay in Memory Care at first. We were pretty stoked initially, but things have shifted. The food used to be diverse and tasty, but now it's monotonous. Leftover breakfast bacon often turns up in lunch and dinner. Imaging that? Additionally, there's not plenty of things to do for the folks living here. The staff seems cold and they even appear to ignore them sometimes. My friend told me that when she requests for something, they reply with a "we're not interested" or that they "couldn't care less". We're thinking about finding her a more supportive community.

"Enjoying New Community: Making Friends and Delicious Food"
My friend's doing well since she moved in. She enjoys the food and the folks around. She's making pals and socializing. The staff's care is just right, and she's eating great. She chose this place because it's close to her friends.

"Poor Staffing, Care, and Leadership at Olive Grove Phoenix"
After living at Olive Grove Phoenix, I have countless problems with the place that I can't list them all here. They don't have enough workers and their current employees are overworked. The care and food that are given are honestly below average at best! I sincerely advise, don't ever allow yourself or your loved one to move into Olive Grove Phoenix. It's a facility under Steller Senior Living, and they haven't organized any outings because they never registered their van when they bought the Phoenix residence. The van's registration expired two years ago. The executive director,, is not good at dealing with people. Many residents have complaints because of him, including myself. I currently have a lawsuit against Olive Grove and Please remember, there are so many better places to live in Phoenix.

"Stay Clear: Olive Grove Phoenix Not Worth The Trouble"
Living at Olive Grove Phoenix was a nightmare for me. There were numerous issues I can't even begin to list in this review due to space constraints. The facility is shamefully understaffed, causing their few employees to be overworked. The care provided is barely sufficient, and the food, at its best, is subpar. I implore you, don't place yourself or a loved one in Olive Grove, a Stellar Senior Living-owned community. They don't even offer weekly outings anymore. Since they failed to register their transport van two years ago (when they had just bought the Phoenix residence), the van's tags have expired. The executive director, who I shall not name here, is terribly lacking in people skills. He's the reason many residents, including myself, have grievances towards the facility. I currently have a lawsuit against Olive Grove and the aforementioned director. Let me end by saying this: Phoenix has too many quality living alternatives for you to settle for Olive Grove.

"Failed Promises: Olive Grove's Inadequate Memory Care"
The memory care section at Olive Grove is very disappointing. It's clear the place needs serious fixing up - there are holes in the walls and the restrooms are grimy. The furniture, which doesn't match and is dirty, seems like it was discarded from the assisted living part of the facility. The residents don't have nearly enough activities to keep them busy and their minds aren't being continually engaged. In addition, the place is understaffed, meaning many of the resident's needs aren't being met. The memory care section keeps switching management every half a year, so it just feels very poorly managed. The outside patio area is not only tiny but also not kept clean. There's a constant smell coming from rotting waste in the soil that never seems to be taken care of, despite promises made. The director of Olive Grove has made lots of unfulfilled promises. It's upsetting to see that the standards for the memory care section is not the same as for the assisted living area. If you're considering putting a family member in memory care at Olive Grove, I strongly recommend you reconsider!

"Nice Place for Loved Ones!"
We visited this community while considering care for a family member. I felt Olive Grove was quite nice! It was clean, well-maintained, and the staff were friendly. We spoke with some residents, who all had positive experiences!

"Acceptable, But Too Costly For Average Service"
This isn't a terrible place, but it does have quite a few employees coming and going. The boss could definitely do with learning some manners. They don't have sleeping bags but will give you a bed if you're in a private room, and it's okay for a short stay. The food wasn't great, but it was at least okay to eat. Even though the government helps fund it, this place is way too expensive. Prices start at $2500 every month.
