"Lovely Tour, Spacious Facility, Considered for Future Needs"
We had a great visit to Orchard Pointe in Surprise. Everything impressed us. The director was fantastic, and we really connected. The only reason my parents didn't choose this place is because it's bigger with an elevator; they prefer a smaller place all on one level. Also, they wanted a balcony or patio to sit with their dog. The apartments didn't have that, but the rooms with courtyard views were lovely, though there's a waitlist. Overall, it's a great place, and if things change with their current situation, it's definitely our next choice.

"Disappointing Experience at Orchard Pointe Assisted Living Facility"
Our time at Orchard Pointe didn't meet expectations. We had to move because they don't offer long-term care, but other issues arose. One staff member gave inappropriate life advice, and we struggled to reach anyone due to understaffing. Despite requests, a requested podiatrist visit never occurred. They didn't utilize our provided items or adhere to doctor's orders. Considering what was offered, the price seemed too high. I can't recommend them.

"Uninspiring Memory Care Lacks Staff Engagement"
The Memory Care unit felt old and tired. The staff didn’t connect with residents—they were just going through the motions.

"Wonderful care and activities make Orchard Pointe a top choice"
My 90-year-old mother moved to Orchard Pointe after my father died and she could no longer live alone. The place is always clean, and the staff works hard to take care of her needs. I’m really impressed by all the activities that keep her busy every day. She’s very happy with the three meals a day served in a nice dining room with wait staff. I recommend Orchard Pointe to anyone looking for a great assisted living facility. I’m so happy we found a place where she is so content.

"Amazing Community!"
My family member recently moved into this place, and everything has been going well for them. The staff is super friendly, and I feel good about the care they’re getting. They love their apartment and can crank up the TV volume as much as they want. They’ve improved so much that we’re hopeful they’ll be back home by the end of the month. I’m grateful for this community and would recommend it to others.

"Very Content at the Assisted Living Community"
Dad is doing well and has settled in comfortably. He participates in activities and enjoys social hours. He gets along with other residents and the friendly staff, who are interactive. The food is very good, and the community's location is perfect for our family.

"A decent visit"
I didn't really like the apartments when I visited. They had a small living room with a window seat for guests. The community was clean, and the people I met were friendly.

"Nice Community"
I don't have any complaints about our tour of this community for my mom. The staff were on time for our appointment and answered our questions in detail. I liked the open floor plan and other amenities for residents throughout the building. However, it wasn't the right fit for her in the end.

"Mixed Experience: Lovely Setting, Staff, but Food Needs Improvement"
The apartments are really nice and the people who work here are super nice too. But, the food isn't the best and could use some improvement.

"Friendly Staff, Clean Facility: A Great Place to Be!"
We really liked this place a lot. It seemed pretty new, so everything was super clean. The outside was nice, matching the colors of the southwest decor. The staff was really friendly and kind, they were great with the residents. They even encourage family and friends to join in activities. It seems like a fun place to hang out.

"Another Tour"
The tour was super helpful and friendly. I saw a much bigger place than I expected. It was clean and really nice. But some staff just walked by without even looking at us. A smile would've been nice. I also noticed no interaction between residents and staff. It makes me wonder how they treat the residents.

"Tour for Caring"
We visited this place. The workers were friendly and answered our questions. However, we didn't like how things were set up. They did offer some activities, which was good. I think families should visit to see if it suits their loved one's needs.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"
The person in charge of activities, [Removed], makes sure there's something for everyone on the events calendar. The entertainment and decorations are always top-notch, and she does an amazing job. Everyone here is really friendly and treats you like family. [Removed], who heads maintenance, is super nice and works hard to keep everything in good shape and the residents happy. And [Removed], who leads the cleaning crew, goes above and beyond for residents. The food could be better, and they could use more help on weekends. But overall, it's a great community and I'd recommend it.

"Excellent care and activities for three years"
My mother has been at Orchard Pointe Assisted Living for almost three years now, and I’m impressed with the care they provide. The staff is friendly and always looking for ways to improve the residents' experience. There are many activities throughout the day, like entertainment, exercise, shopping trips, movies, games, educational lectures, and BINGO. They also hold seminars on important topics and schedule activities where kids can interact with the residents. They partner with a foster child organization to host events, especially during holidays. Special holiday meals for residents and their guests are provided, and guests can join any meal for a small fee. The staff often asks residents for input on meals and activities, which has led to things like expanded dining room hours, an ice cream machine in the lobby, and an extra weekly BINGO game. They encourage residents to join activities and help them during events. The maintenance staff keeps the facilities in great shape and even helps residents with personal requests, like fixing a TV remote or squeaky walker wheels. The on-site nursing staff is always ready to give medical advice and has increased wellness checks when needed. My mother rents a two-bedroom unit with plenty of space and a view of a well-kept courtyard. They also offer one-bedroom and deluxe one-bedroom units. I found the rental prices to be comparable to other places and think they’re a good value considering all the benefits. Our experience with Orchard Pointe has been excellent.

"Wonderful Place to Volunteer and Visit!"
I visit Orchard Pointe often as a volunteer. The staff is always welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Our church members love volunteering here because there are so many activities. The residents have lots of things to do every day. It's a joy to visit and spend time with them in such a nice and inviting place.

"An Okay Community"
This community isn't very lively. When we visited, the hallways were empty, and residents only gathered during meals. The food was okay, although sometimes it wasn't cooked well enough for some residents to chew. On the bright side, the community is clean, and the staff were friendly.

"Mom Finds Happiness at Orchard Pointe"
My parents were among the first residents at Orchard Pointe. Back then, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everyone was happy. Unfortunately, my father passed away while living there. The staff and hospice care were exceptional during that difficult time. My mom has Alzheimer’s, so she often forgets that Dad is gone. The friendly staff gently reminds her that he’s in Heaven. Gary, the current director, is doing a fantastic job. The nursing staff is attentive, even though Mom doesn’t have many health issues. The caregivers are kind and respectful, although their response time could improve. Overall, Orchard Pointe is a wonderful place for parents in their final years. Hugs to all the staff!

"I wouldn't recommend Orchard Pointe!"
The people who work at this place are the biggest issue. My mom and dad have memory problems, but the staff still lets them decide things about their care even though we have legal authority. My dad had to go to the hospital, and I didn't find out from the place—I found out from the hospital. The building itself is nice, and the food is okay. We pay extra for my dad's care, but they don't make sure my parents shower or change clothes regularly. They exaggerated how good the staff is.

"Lacking Care & Sodas at Expensive Assisted Living"
At first, I thought this assisted living center was great. Since then, they've switched Directors twice and even corporate had to step in. They stopped giving out sodas for meals and hardly serve waffles or pancakes for breakfast anymore. There was even a day when no chef showed up for breakfast service. Considering we pay every month, it doesn't seem right that my mom can't even have a soda if she wants one. Also, the caregiver response time is really slow. I've even seen a group of caregivers doing nothing while my mom waited for assistance.

We liked Orchard Pointe when we visited. It was one of the better places we saw. It was a bit big for us since we wanted something smaller. But the facility is really great.

"New Assisted Living Facility Offers Comfortable Respite Care"
I needed a place for my mom to stay temporarily while we waited for her things to arrive from Utah. Orchard Pointe happened to have an available room when I visited. Since it's new, there weren't any previous inspections to help me decide, but I ruled out some places based on their survey results. Being new, it's really clean and nice. Plus, they gave us a discount of $500 for the first two months, which made it affordable. Mom seems happy and is settling in well. The day after she moved in, she went to lunch and made a new friend. Hearing about her making connections like that warmed my heart.
