"Small, Cozy Community"
This place was just right for my Mom. It’s a cozy, smaller community with friendly staff. They offer fun activities like shopping trips and bridge clubs. The only downside was the missing orientation they promised.

"My mom loves it here!"
My mom has been there for 4 months, and she loves it! Everyone is so friendly and nice, from maintenance to the cafeteria and cleaning staff. The residents are happy and sociable, and she has made many friends. She enjoys her apartment and the fun activities. They offer a lot of entertainment for everyone. It’s a secure place with staff at the entrance 24/7 and cameras throughout. I am very, very pleased.

"Outstanding and Caring Staff!"
Our mom lived at Palos Verdes Senior Living for over 4 years. During that time, she stayed in Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. In all three areas, the staff was amazing, cheerful, and caring. The place was always clean and comfy. The menu had lots of choices, and the activities were fun and exciting. Palos Verdes Senior Living was a great choice for our mom’s care and gave us peace of mind, knowing she was getting the best care. We highly recommend Palos Verdes Senior Living to others.

"Friendly Staff and Clean Living Area, Not Perfect for Us"
I visited this assisted living place for my mom's care. It didn't really meet our needs back then. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and kind. We appreciated the cleanliness and good condition of the place. They would have given her things to do. I would recommend other families to check out this place if they're searching for elderly care.

The staff takes good care of me. The whole place, including my apartment, is always clean. I see other residents with their pets, which is nice. The food could use more seasoning and flavor, but everything else is great. The people are friendly, and the staff is quick to help when I need something.

"Friendly Staff, But Dining Room Is Too Far"
We saw a really nice community. However, they didn’t have the right studio size for mom. The assisted living didn’t have a dining room nearby, so you had to take an elevator to another floor. We decided not to choose it because they lacked staff and the dining room was too far away. It was also a little more expensive by $1,000. The tour was great, and the staff were friendly. The lady who helped us was very nice and knowledgeable. My sister and I felt comfortable asking questions. She was not pushy and was really sweet.

"Great place for my mom to live"
My mom loves it here. We moved her to Palos Verdes from Florida. Living in a community has really helped her. The staff is super helpful and kind to everyone. She does complain about the food, but they are working with her on that. My mom was a great cook and spent a lot of time in the kitchen. She even brings her own spices to make her meals better. So far, so good. It's been 6 weeks now, and she's making friends.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living Facility"
They're really good at keeping in touch with all of our family members. Getting in was smooth. Whenever there's a problem, they're quick to fix it. They went above and beyond what we expected for both us and our in-laws. Our in-laws love it there. It's a friendly place, welcoming for residents and family visits. The only thing they could do better is communicate a bit more clearly with us and among themselves about who's taking care of what.

"Happy mom, happy family!"
We checked out a lot of senior living places in Peoria before picking Palos Verdes Senior Living. We chose Palos Verdes because it was newer, cleaner, and had a super friendly staff. The layout is awesome, and they really thought about making the common areas convenient for everyone. The apartments are bright and close to all the amenities. The sitting room is cozy with a nice fireplace. Our mom has made many good friends here.

"Assisted Living Review: Modern Amenities, Limited Guest Parking"
This place has super cool stuff like fancy balconies, washer and dryer in the room, and even cable TV included. They show movies every night, and their family gathering room is top-notch. They also have Catholic services, which is nice. But, guest parking is a pain, especially on weekdays. Also, it's a bit confusing about how they handle falls in different areas. In assisted living, they seem ready for 24/7 help, but in independent living, it's more like calling 911. We're worried about this because we want quick help if our parents fall. If they both need assisted living, they'll have to get used to a one-bedroom place, which might be a big change for them.

"Respite Stay"
My mom has been at the assisted living facility for a month now. At first, she was excited, but after a week, she started feeling like the staff isn't helping her enough. They say there are no activities for her at different times of the day, so she spends a lot of time in her room. Mom has trouble seeing and hearing, and she wishes she could sit at different tables during meals because there's hardly any conversation where she sits. She doesn't want to complain, but she's eager to go back home. This isn't the experience I wanted for her.

They are an excellent organization that provides high-quality services and really delivers on them. The food was okay, and they have an outdoor area. They also have a special program called the Residents Club for people in the assisted living area who have Alzheimer’s symptoms but don't need memory care. The woman who runs that program is just fantastic.

My mom just moved into the Memory Care section at Palos Verdes. It’s the nicest place I saw. The common areas, dining room, and hallways look great. The room is the biggest I found; it doesn’t feel cramped, even though it's a studio apartment. Plus, the food is excellent.

"Very happy with the care and services"
We are really happy with this place. I've visited many times, and there’s always something happening. They do laundry once a week, and the food is excellent with the right portion sizes. I’d recommend it to almost anyone. We wanted all levels of care so I wouldn’t have to move her again. The price could be a bit lower, but other than that, I don’t think anything needs improvement.

"A Great Place for Seniors, exceptional staff, clean community"
A Great Place for Seniors. The staff, especially Debbi Bruni, the director of the Residents Club, are exceptional. The community is friendly, clean, and well-run. The food was okay, but it's hard to meet everyone's dietary needs. Unfortunately, our mother didn't like it because there were no Asians living there, and we didn't realize how hard it would be for her to adjust. Mom needed more assistance and memory care than we thought. We, the four children, weren't in complete agreement, so our brother took Mom out. If I could do it over, I'd insist that Mom stay for at least a month, not just one week, to give it a real chance.

"A few hiccups, but overall, a great place!"
Our loved one is super happy here. There are a couple of small problems, though. First, some dogs bark early in the morning during their walks, which wakes up the neighbors. Also, the leashes can be a safety issue because people might trip over them. Transportation can be a problem sometimes. But the meals are awesome! Our loved one feels safe and well-cared-for. The staff is friendly and knows everyone by their first names. Whoever hires them is doing a great job! The place has lots of fun activities and looks beautiful. It'd be nice to have exercise classes later in the morning for late sleepers.

"Great care and friendly environment at Palos Verdes Senior Living"
After visiting many places, we found Palos Verdes Senior Living to be the best for Dad. The care options here give us peace of mind. We believe Dad will be happier here than anywhere else. The staff and residents have made Dad and us feel very welcome since he moved in. Dad never joined activities at his old place because of health issues and early dementia. He’s now more outgoing, making friends, and trying new things. The facility is great for family visits with rooms for gatherings, and Dad’s apartment is cozy. We’re very happy to recommend Palos Verdes to others.

"Disappointing Dining but Comfortable Living"
The showers here are excellent, and the rooms, although small, are clean and tidy. There's a patio area for dogs, and they offer a dog-walking service. However, the food is not good. It's often overcooked and tastes bad. The salads are wilted, and desserts seem like they've been sitting out for too long. The building itself is beautiful and new, with lots of residents enjoying activities like playing cards.

"Mom Wasn't Satisfied With The Activities"
My mom used to live there about two years ago. Back then, the assisted living facility was just starting up. Unfortunately, she was highly impatient and not satisfied with the social activities they offered. However, it was only a third full at the time. Despite our efforts to convince her to wait a few months and see if things improved, she couldn't wait. Instead, she returned to her home, which hadn't sold yet.

"Outstanding Dining Service!"
The facility is just two years old and looks modern and clean. The dining service is excellent! The staff are super helpful and go out of their way to assist. They did an amazing job getting the apartment ready before my parents moved in. I saw it before and after cleaning, and it looked brand new afterward. I can’t speak on the care services since my parents are in independent living, but I know they offer assisted living and memory care. My parents have started using the shuttle service for church and doctor’s appointments. So far, everything is going great!

"Beautiful Place, Lacks Outdoor Space, Under-Utilized"
The building was lovely, but it lacked open space for residents to take walks. They've begun working on a pool, but that's the only outdoor area they'll be able to use. A one-bedroom apartment at 865 square feet costs $2900 to start. You don't need to sign a lease; it's all month to month. The lunch food was great. He appreciates the building's beauty, but wanted more outdoor space, especially with the pool still under construction. Plus, only a third of its capacity is filled.
