Savanna House Assisted Living & Memory Care

"Dedicated Staff Ensure Comfort at Assisted Living Facility"
The staff is mostly friendly and helpful, though sometimes they seem short-handed, especially at night. The Activities Director is inclusive and full of energy, making sure all residents join in activities. The lobby concierge are wonderful—very friendly and welcoming. Having a medical assistant on-site is convenient, but they can be hard to reach for questions. Despite this, I believe my loved one is safe and well-cared for overall.

"Savanna House excels despite staffing concerns."
Savanna House needs more staff, but it's better than other places we visited. Maybe just expect a 10% yearly cost increase.

"Terrible conditions and management at local assisted living facility"
My mom's been staying in the memory care section of this assisted living facility and it's simply terrible. The people in charge seem clueless and unprofessional. Residents are constantly moving out and they can't keep their caregivers or medicine technicians, which really says something. The place isn't maintained well, it's dirty, and the food must be the worst around. We were told it was a top-of-the-line place, but after witnessing it for seven months, it's a nightmare. The heads of both departments need to be fired!

"Productive Meeting with Facility Leaders"
The head lady and the main health worker talked with my sister and me. We talked about our parent’s health, how their bodies and minds are doing, and the kind of help they get. It was a real and helpful talk.

"Meals need improvement, but loved ones are happy overall."
Our family members are mostly pleased with everything else at the community, but the meals are the main concern. Sometimes the food is served cold, and the dining service could be better.

"Poor Communication and Care Standards at Assisted Living Facility"
This place is a mess. The workers don't talk to each other, and lots of them leave fast. My family member wasn't eating or drinking and got very sick, and they didn't help until it was an emergency. They even got bedsores. Not what you'd expect for how much it costs.

"Headline: Poor Management and Lack of Empathy at Assisted Living Facility"
The bosses here hardly ever finish what they start. We had to wait over 2 months to get our money back. Everyone is always too busy or in a meeting to talk and they never call you back. It felt like they were always giving us the runaround. My father in law was having a tough time and this place probably wasn't the best for him. Now, there's this lady who works here, named [name removed] who was really unkind. She didn't seem to care or understand at all. She was very mean and didn't respect our family's feelings or situation at all.

"Smooth transition after initial challenges at assisted living facility"
I now feel good about my experience here. At first, it was a bit hard to get used to. We had some trouble understanding the bills and how medications were handled. My loved one had always received medications through United Healthcare, but they wanted us to switch to another provider for distribution, which would have been expensive. So, there were some small problems at the beginning, but once we sorted them out, everything has been great since then.
