" "Lacks Empathy and Failed to Uphold Promises: Horrible Experience""
The staff at this retirement home are just plain greedy. It's clear they don't care about the people living there. You can see it all around the place. They treat folks without any respect and they don't follow through with what they say they will. My Grandma-Aunt – she was like a Grandma to me – stayed there just over a week. I live in California and was there for 5 of the total days she stayed. We had already paid lots of money for a full month, so I asked them to put up decent blinds in her room to keep out the blazing sun. Her room was hot, and it smelled of urine. I spoke to the person in charge and was told to submit a "Work Order," which I did through the sad young woman who sits at the entrance. I left the day before the blinds were supposed to be installed, but my Grandma-Aunt died two days later. You guessed it- no blinds were put up while she was still alive. To top it off, we were told we'd get a refund for any days not used if she died before the month was up. She did, but guess what? We never got our refund.

"Sunridge Village: Uninviting atmosphere and indifferent staff."
My brother and I were searching for an assisted living home for our dad. We found Sunridge Village, overlooked the negative reviews, liked the photos, and focused on what could be good about it. We stopped by with the intention of perhaps scheduling an official meet-up for later. But when we got there, it was nothing like the photos. Aside from a few residents here and there, no one was around to welcome us. We hung around for a bit, soaking in the vibe of the place, until a tall blonde lady walked in. She didn't acknowledge us, so we made the first move. She said she was a coordinator of sorts, and the heavy smell of smoke on her was pretty overwhelming. But we still asked her our questions. She only had uncertain answers or promised to find them out for us. She showed no interest in our uncertainties and didn't offer us a place to sit and talk, as is normally done. My advice, avoid this place.

"Friendly Caregivers and Cheerful Atmosphere at Sunridge Village"
I think Sunridge Village is a nice place. The caregivers are friendly and caring, even when patients don’t want to follow instructions. They ask politely instead of demanding, which earns respect from the patients. The atmosphere is always cheerful, and you can visit anytime, which I appreciate.

"Warm Staff, Dim Rooms Dad Gets Good Care Despite Cold Food"
Bring your own lamps because the rooms are really dark. However, my dad is receiving good care. The staff are always super friendly, nice, and helpful. The food seems like it would taste alright, but it's always served cold by the time it reaches his room.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Some good things about this assisted living facility include the courtyard, which we really like, and the dedicated memory care. We also feel secure in the community and appreciate the staff's responsiveness. However, there's room for improvement in their operation coordination; sometimes things seem a bit disjointed. Getting maintenance in the rooms can be challenging, and overall, their operations can feel fragmented.

"Warm Staff, Late Food, Sparse Activities: Decent for the Price"
The best part about this place is how friendly the staff is. They really stand out to me, and I get along with everyone here. But sometimes the food comes late, which is a bit of a bummer. Also, I wish they had more things for us to do. Overall, it's okay, especially considering how much it costs.

"A Welcoming Assisted Living Community"
Overall, it's a nice place with a positive atmosphere. The staff knows what's going on with the residents. My only concern is that some residents act a bit childish by insisting on sitting at 'their table' for every meal. The staff should encourage more inclusivity. Also, enclosed hallways would be better since it's so windy here. Still, I'd feel comfortable having a loved one live here.

"Great Tour, Wrong Location"
I visited this community for my family, and everything went well. The staff did a great job during our tour, and the amenities were impressive. However, the location wasn’t right for us.
