The Stratford in Phoenix

"Misleading Website; Poor Hygiene and Care at Facility"
I strongly suggest you avoid this place. The website is deceiving...they've just set up all the photos. Their memory care section is filthy, and they simply neglect those living there. I speak from what I went through. My mother passed away due to conditions in this residence. These folks can't be trusted – I advise against choosing them.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
The price is lower than other places. Ask lots of questions. My mother-in-law had to wait in her room until I brought her closed-toe shoes. Sometimes, getting her meds at night has been a challenge. But no place is perfect.

We picked Avamere at Phoenix because the staff was friendly and caring. The 2-bedroom room is spacious with lots of storage. I’d recommend it to other families.

"Attentive Staff and Great Care at Avamere in Phoenix"
When I first visited, what stood out were the people. The staff were really nice, and we liked how they were ready to assist with all the paperwork. It costs a lot, but they really take good care of him. I would definitely tell others to check out Avamere at Phoenix.

"Money Over Care"
The Avamere at Phoenix tour was okay, but they seemed more focused on money than caring for people.

"Lacks Some Amenities, But Great for Our Loved One"
We liked this place for our loved one, but it doesn't have as many extras as other places.

"A Mixed Experience at Assisted Living"
I really liked the private rooms and bathrooms. The staff were friendly during meals. Security was good, but there was one late-night incident. Some food was microwaved, but desserts were tasty. They checked on me if I missed a meal. Overall, a bit pricey. I felt like the only Native American there.

"Not the Right Fit"
The tour guides were nice, but this place wasn't for us. They charge extra for every little thing, which seemed unfair. Also, the building wasn't as nice as others, and it felt empty and old, like a haunted house.

"Great Care and Comfort at The Stratford"
My mom has been at The Stratford for a year now. They've done a great job handling her 'special' issues as a smoker. After touring several facilities, we still believe this is one of the best options for the price. Mom feels like she's in a fancy hotel or apartment building—the decor and ambiance are very nice, almost elegant. Our family members travel frequently and never worry about her well-being or care. The facility offers a well-rounded list of activities, and communication is highly valued.

"Great care and cozy feel at a good price highly recommend!"
We chose this place because it offered great care for the cost and was close to family. When you first arrive, you can see how lovely and cozy the community is. The staff is very attentive and takes excellent care of my mom. Since it's a new facility, they're getting better every day. Everything has met our expectations and more. I definitely recommend this place.

"Limited First-Floor Rooms at The Stratford"
I visited The Stratford with my mom. They had a great program, but the rooms seemed small. Unfortunately, no first-floor openings.
