"Great Care and Support at Woodmark at Sun City"
My experience with Woodmark at Sun City has been excellent. They truly care about their residents. The staff is great and easy to work with. They have been very supportive and talk to my mom about my dad every day she visits. Overall, they are amazing, and I recommend them to everyone who asks for advice on elder care. It is very clean, and the staff doesn’t let the residents sit in their own waste for too long. They check regularly and clean up quickly. I trust them because they listen to the residents' concerns and have removed certain staff if residents or family members have real complaints.

"Great Assisted Living!"
My family member lives at The Woodmark at Sun City. I think others should consider it too.

"Welcoming Memory Care Center with Spacious Rooms"
Certainly! Here’s the revised review in 8th-grade level American English: The memory care center seemed friendlier than the other places we visited, which felt like hospital wards. Plus, my in-laws got a more spacious room for their money. And here’s the succinct headline:

"Mixed Experience at The Woodmark at Sun City"
Most of the people who work at The Woodmark at Sun City are really nice and helpful. The place is very clean and doesn't feel like a typical "old folks home." However, when we moved in, the process wasn't as smooth as we were told it would be. Many of the activities they offer are more suited for older folks, so my parents, who aren't as old as most of the other residents, sometimes find it frustrating. Despite these things, I would still say The Woodmark at Sun City is a good place to consider.

"Communication and Care Need Improvement at Assisted Living Facility"
The family communication was good during sign-up, but declined after. The food isn't great; on holidays, they only offer box lunches, tough for residents without local family. Meals are okay. Medical attention is decent. Activities like bingo and weekly happy hours are basic; more variety like baking or gardening would be better. Suggestions for new activities haven't been acted on. Front door issues are unresolved; troubling for wheelchair users needing to walk pets.

"Initial Experience Needs Improvement, but Overall Care is Excellent"
The facility has a great team that is professional and takes good care of the residents' daily needs like medications, housekeeping, and being friendly. However, there's no communication unless the family starts it after the resident moves in. This issue and others related to moving in can be fixed with better management. We would recommend the facility 100% with one warning: the new resident integration. We were told the Activity Director would help our brother, who is shy, get involved, but this didn't happen. He was supposed to be paired with a social resident to help him meet people, but after the first meal, that didn't happen either. We also thought he would be shown around the facilities. I showed him the gym last week, and he had never seen it before. In short, the care is great, but the first days need more attention.

"Warm Atmosphere with Some Issues"
I believe the care is better than usual. However, some promised services weren't provided after we moved in. Still, the overall atmosphere is welcoming, and I'd recommend it to other families.

"Disappointing Financial Help, Friendly Staff at Nearby Living Facility"
It was closer to home, but they didn't assist with money plans. The community seemed pleasant, with just enough staff-resident interaction.

"Understaffing Issues Impact Overall Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
Our experience: Because they don't have enough staff, I would give them a fair rating. Our mom is at the end of the hall and sometimes doesn't get enough attention. Her room and bathroom are not kept very clean. The staff does try, but they really need more people working all the time considering how many residents there are.

"Good place but food quality and integration could improve."
Good place, sample meals first. Food quality and integration needed.

"Lack of Professionalism and Care at The Woodmark: A Family's Nightmare"
Our time at The Woodmark was really bad. They didn't give any health care to my family, so we had to do it ourselves unless it was nighttime and they forced us out. They never responded to the call buttons, which led to my loved one falling many times. On top of everything, they still wanted to make me pay for extra help. Even when my loved one was in the hospital for a month, they still billed me for full service and rent. Right from the start, I couldn't trust them with my parents. The Woodmark tried to give my dad the wrong medicine and wouldn't listen to us about it. And still, they didn't answer the call button. For this reason, I just couldn't leave my parents there. To give them credit, their cleaning service and some of their caregivers were great. The folks they hired for physical and occupational therapy were also nice. But, the nursing was bad. They did almost nothing for my family. The front desk and management were okay. The wait staff were also okay. But, I was shocked by how sly the people in charge were. They even left our meetings early. While there, my parents got sick with Covid. The Woodmark didn't call me even when one of my parents was taken to the hospital. When I called their head office last December, no one called me back. While their flat charges were good, the service and care were nearly absent. I wouldn't wish for anyone to be there. It's a bad place. I started with high hopes, but all my worst fears came true.

"Felt Pressured Towards Memory Care, Not Assisted Living"
After visiting The Woodmark, I felt uneasy. The person helping us said she needed to check on my family member. I watched the check-up, and he did okay, but right away, she said he must be put in the part of the place where they lock it for memory problems. We just wanted to see the regular help areas and didn’t appreciate their approach, so we decided not to pick them.

"Dad's Assisted Living Needs More Staff & Better Laundry Service"
My dad seems clean, fed, and healthy at the assisted living facility. However, whenever I visit, it's clear they don't have enough staff. I'm not sure how they handle laundry, but sometimes I find clothes in my dad's closet that don't belong to him. He's missing his towels, and the ones I see in his room are in really bad shape.
