"Great Value and Tasty Food!"
It cost less, and the food was really good. I’d suggest it to others.

"Budget-Busting Fees Dampen Appeal of Thunderbird Senior Living"
We visited Thunderbird Senior Living while looking for a place for my grandma to live independently. The building seemed nice enough when we walked around. However, the rooms were small and the closets were tiny. But what really got us was the extra fee for having a second person. It was way more than we could afford.

"Friendly Staff and Excellent Tour Guide; Food Untested"
The place came in as a strong runner-up. The folks there were super nice, although we didn't get a chance to taste their food. Our guide during the tour was really great.

"Pancake Predicament"
I think the staff is really nice, and the residents seem happy. We chose this place because it’s in a good location and affordable. But, let’s talk about the pancakes. They’re not great – they look bad and taste worse. The kitchen needs to step up their pancake game! Also, it’d be nice if the staff greeted people when they come into the dining room. Sometimes it feels like they don’t notice you. And that back door with the tricky lock? It’s frustrating! Finally, I’d happily teach them how to make better pancakes or recommend an awesome pancake mix. Thanks for asking about this stuff – it matters!

"Mixed feelings about Thunderbird Assisted Living; room for improvement."
This place is kinda old, and they fix stuff only when it's urgent, not in a planned way. It's like they're always rushing. Changing anything takes forever because some faraway people own it. The food isn't good, and nobody listens when we say it needs to change. But the staff are nice and try to help, even if they can't do much because of company rules. The activities are fun, but the person who ran them left. We hope things get better soon. My folks like it here, but there are still problems with the building after a year. We're waiting to see if it gets better before we think about moving them.

"Convenient and Cozy Assisted Living with Minor Drawbacks"
Apartments are small but comfy, especially for one person unless you go for a two-bedroom. They have full kitchens, but you'll need a countertop microwave. You get breakfast and either lunch or dinner included. They provide buses and vans for weekly shopping, church trips, and doctor visits within 11 miles. Banner Thunderbird Medical Center is nearby. The place is privately owned and doesn't accept ALTEC. That's a concern because if Mom qualifies for ALTEC later on, we might have to move her again, which is a hassle.

"Great Place with a Few Issues"
I like the apartment space here. It's a nice area to walk the halls, and you can do a mile or whatever distance you like. I love the outside area with the ponds, grass, ducks, and turtles. They only do diabetic diets, but I have friends with other special diet needs! Some residents have dogs and can't pick up the poop. So employees do it, but that takes them away from other duties. Scooters are a problem. Non-scooter residents have been injured because scooters back into or run into tables, pushing them into people. The scooter policy needs to be enforced. But I still like it here. There were problems when I lived at home!

"Needs Staff Overhaul and Better Dietary Accommodations"
This facility could benefit from a thorough overhaul - there are a few outstanding staff members, but others who are just plain terrible. The person currently in charge is great. The activities they offer are quite boring and if they do schedule activities, they often end up being cancelled. They should hire new kitchen staff and work on offering meals that are suitable for folks who have specific dietary needs, like diabetes. The food options they provide are simply not up to par and the kitchen area is very unclean, with a fridge that isn't cool enough.

"Assisted Living Review: Welcoming, Caring, and Engaging Community"
The staff at this place are really nice and helpful. They care about the people who live here. They make sure everyone knows what's happening, especially the front desk when something comes for someone. I think they could have more kinds of food in the cafeteria, though. The place is always clean and looks nice. There are always things happening to keep everyone busy. The staff always ask how you are doing and are ready to help. I also like that they get ideas from people who don't live here.

"Convenient Activities and Distance"
I really liked a lot of things about the community. They had a bunch of activities to do, which was fun. The only thing I didn't like was that it was pretty far from where I live.

"Assisted Living Facility Review"
This community is better for people who need help and have memory issues, not so much for those who want to live on their own. The food wasn’t good and the menu didn’t have what we wanted. The building was clean and pretty, and the staff were really nice. Where we live now feels like we’re getting more for what we pay compared to Thunderbird, and the rooms there were too small for us.

"Too Much Walking at Thunderbird Senior Living"
I visited Thunderbird Senior Living, and I thought there was too much walking. When I was there, I was searching for my mom and stepdad. My mom wouldn't have been able to walk that far, and it would have been a long distance to the dining room and other places for my stepdad with a cane.
