"Overpriced with Extra Fees: Nice Facility but Too Expensive"
This place is okay, but it costs too much and they make you pay extra when you move in.

"Spacious, clean, constantly renovated, upcoming tour with parents"
This apartment is the most spacious and clean among others. It's constantly renovated. Doing another tour with my parents tomorrow.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living During Crisis"
During my Father-In-Law's stay, many new people moved in due to fires. He's blind and needed extra care, but felt neglected. The staff was overwhelmed with new residents, so they couldn't attend to him promptly. Despite this, I liked the beautiful community and friendly staff. My main concern was when he fell ill; they waited too long to take him to the hospital. Overall, I'd recommend this facility, with caution.

"Newly renovated assisted living with helpful staff and engaging activities."
This community was really nice and we liked it. Everything had been recently renovated so it was all new and clean, very updated. During the tour, the staff was helpful and friendly. My husband spent time talking to the residents and their family members to see how they liked living there, and everyone seemed to think it was a good place. They offer a lot of activities to keep the residents busy.

"Mixed Feelings on Assisted Living Facility"
This place has good things and not-so-good things. Good stuff: It's a nice place with big windows that let in lots of sunlight. The one-bedroom rooms are a good size. It's in a quiet neighborhood next to green areas, and you can't hear the freeway. It's Catholic, with a church right there. The hallways are wide. But, there are downsides too: It's right by the freeway on-ramp. Many people here use walkers or canes, and some folks in wheelchairs just hang out in empty rooms. The dining room feels small and not fancy. The building seems more like a hospital or nursing home that got turned into this place.

"AlmaVia Falls Short on Keeping Families Together"
AlmaVia seemed nice, but it didn't meet our needs. They could help one person, but not both. We wanted our aunt and uncle to stay together, but they'd have to be apart due to their different care levels.

"Nice Community with Spacious Rooms"
This place would’ve been great, but it’s a bit too far. Nice community, wonderful staff, and spacious rooms.

"Mixed Feelings About Assisted Living"
My mom really likes the nature in the courtyard and the views from the windows at this community. But I was disappointed because I didn’t know they were short-staffed at night. It took too long for her call light to be answered. I had to hire extra help, which cost more than I wanted. Overall, it’s good, but improvements are needed.

"Disappointing Experience: AlmaVia Assisted Living Facility"
We thought AlmaVia could be a good choice, but had doubts. We shared details about our experiences with caregiving, but they seemed concerned. They said we shared too much, which felt odd because I'm the POA. The waiting list got too long, and they didn't want updates on caregiving. So, we chose not to go with AlmaVia.

"Great care and support, but not a perfect fit"
My mom needed memory care, and not everything at Alma Via was right for her. However, the staff in the memory care unit were wonderful and very helpful. Though my mother only stayed a short time, she received great attention and support for her and our family. It’s hard to judge the financial value. We paid a lot for the needed services, but it was about the same as other places in San Francisco. The staff at Alma Via truly respect each resident and were great to work with.

"Beautiful place but bathtub design was a concern; chose elsewhere."
Didn't choose due to bathtub; beautiful place with nice grounds.

"Nice Place, But Something's Off"
The common areas are really fancy. The rooms feel a bit cramped though. It looks like there are more ladies than guys living here. There's enough parking. The perks they offer are just like what other places give. There's something not quite right, but I'm not sure what it is.

"Affordable and Pleasant Assisted Living"
This place was pleasant and tidy. It matched up well with other options we considered, although one was more competitively priced.
