"Mixed Feelings About Green Merrylands Murrieta Assisted Living Tour"

Our family went to Green Merrylands Murrieta while looking for a place for our loved one. She needs more specialized care all the time. We didn't think this place could provide that, but we liked the tour otherwise.

"Assisted Living Facility: A Mixed Experience"

This place covers diapers, meals, and more in the price. They make sure residents bathe daily. Rooms are private, but some overlook a cement patio. The backyard is near a busy street. A male caregiver helps with exercises and therapy to help people walk again. They don't offer transportation. They don't include Boost or Ensure in the rent. If someone needs hospice care, there's no extra charge. You can't have food in your room due to bugs, but the kitchen and dining area are open anytime. You can visit whenever it makes sense. Bedrooms have spacious closets. There are three male residents, and one or two can walk independently.

Products like Boost and Ensure aren't included in the monthly fee. Hospice care, if needed, comes with no additional costs. To prevent bugs, food isn't allowed in bedrooms but can be consumed in the kitchen or dining area at any time. Reasonable visiting hours apply. The bedroom features a 7' closet. The home accommodates 3 male residents, including 1 or 2 who are mobile.

"Owner happened to be there. She was so nice."

The owner happened to be there and was very nice, showing me around and explaining the different features of the home. She was very kind to the residents as we walked through. It was comforting to discuss my concerns about Mom and how she might fit in with the other residents. The owner was a wealth of information, and I appreciate her candor and insight. I didn’t get to speak with the caregivers because I spent all my time with her. The home was large with a beautiful front yard. The house itself was large, clean, and beautifully decorated. I had a few concerns. There is a door that closes off the kitchen appliances, which disturbed me. I understand it's for the safety of the residents, but it gave me the feeling that my Mom wouldn't be welcome to help with the baking she loves. I also didn't like that the backyard is completely cement with no grass, just some shrubs against the fence. It felt cold and institutional compared to the front yard and the inside of the home. In the bedroom where Mom would sleep, the bed was next to a sliding glass door, which is a big concern since Mom is very afraid to sleep next to a window. Even though the owner made a very generous offer and an exception with the required fees for Mom, I am still concerned about Mom’s minimal finances and how long she would be able to stay there.

"Pleasant Home with Big Rooms, Great Yard and Nursing Care"

It's a pleasant home, with large rooms and a great yard. There are both male and female caregivers, with three men and two women currently staying there. It costs $4000, inclusive. Conveniently located near me, near Trus. The owner is a Registered Nurse and owns two houses.
