"The Good and the Bad at Pacifica Senior Living Fresno"

Staff is amazing, but new owners need improvement. Carpets are nasty, food quality declining, and limited activities.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"

Overall, it’s okay. The food isn’t great, and there are cockroaches in the kitchen. Maintenance and housekeeping need improvement. Staff is mostly good, but there are some issues. It’s affordable, but if you can pay more, I wouldn’t recommend it. They’re not great at repairs. Room for improvement!

"Pacifica Cares for Mom with Unique Support"

My mom can't live with me for different reasons. Pacifica provides many types of help that other places don't. They take good care of my mom.

"Helpful Staff and Great Shuttle Service at Pacifica Fresno"

What really stands out to us about Pacifica Senior Living Fresno is the helpful and caring staff. The shuttle service they offer is also great. The residents seem happy, and the rooms are a nice size. My loved one chose this place because a friend of his lived here too.

"Facility Tour: Mixed Feelings, Better Suited for Older Residents"

The folks we met during our visit were friendly. They suggested assisted living, but we prefer independent living. We're both in our 70s and felt the pool wasn't up to par. The activities were okay, but seemed aimed at those with more limitations.

"A Happy Community with Room for Improvement"

The place is super clean, and the staff are really friendly. Activities are starting up again, and they've reopened the dining room. The food isn't great, but eating there lets me meet new friends. Overall, I'm very happy here.

"Pre-pandemic Excellent Assisted Living Facility Struggles Post-Lockdown"

Before the pandemic, we'd rate this place 4.5 out of 5. Unfortunately, they had to shut down due to Covid, which was understandable. The only way to visit our loved one was to call her out or speak from her patio window. Given that she's 96 and not very steady on her feet, and with weather ranging from over 100 degrees in the summer to 30 in the winter, outside wasn't ideal. She had her room, bathroom, mini kitchen, and living room. Pre-pandemic, amenities included a pool, dining room, and library - the library was excellent, and she had a group of friends there. It was ideal and we couldn't have wanted more. During lockdown, food was delivered to residents based on a menu, which was a decent arrangement given the circumstances. However, now there are no facilities, and she has lost all interaction with her friends as they're confined to their rooms, which has been tough.

"Mixed Experience at Atria Assisted Living"

We’d give Atria a 4.5 if we could. The staff is really nice, especially [name removed]. The good stuff: apartments are a good size, lots of open spaces and gardens, and plenty of activities for residents. Laundry facilities are available too. But there are some downsides: limited meal choices, and if you need more care, you might have to switch apartments. Also, the lobby looks great, but the seating setup makes it hard to chat. Most seats are against the walls with too much space in between.

"Feels like home with friendly staff and pet-friendly policy"

When I first arrived, I felt like I could call this place my home. Everyone was really friendly and welcoming. The grounds were very clean and well-maintained. I was also glad they accept pets.

"Enjoyable Experience with Some Odor Concerns"

It was super helpful when we had questions. We liked the place, especially the sing-along with the pianist. The rooms were cool. But, we didn’t like the smells, so 4 stars.

"Mom's Doing Great at This Place!"

My mom's doing really well since she moved here. The staff are super nice, and I feel good about the care they're giving her. She likes the food and enjoys the activities they do. It's been a good experience overall, and I'd tell others about it!

"A Careful Tour"

We visited this place for care. The staff was nice, and we liked the surroundings. Unfortunately, they don't allow pets, and it's more expensive than expected. But they do have fun activities and a tasty menu. Families should check it out for their options and costs.

"Great care for my mom"

I really like this place for my mom's care. The food is great and there's a lot of choices. They have many fun activities. It makes me happy to know she's well taken care of. We would recommend this place for anyone's loved one.

"Brookdale makes a great first impression!"

I visited six different assisted living places before finding Brookdale for my mom. Right away, I was impressed. The atmosphere really fits my mom's personality. The staff is super friendly and always does what they promise. The activities and amenities are both fun and high-quality. The rooms are larger than what other places offer for the price. Plus, the assisted living services are clearly listed, making it easy to understand what you’re paying for.

"Friendly staff, informative tour, better location found for needs."

I visited Brookdale Fresno and it seemed really nice. The people who worked there were friendly and made me feel welcome. The person showing me around knew a lot and could answer my questions well. Overall, it was a good visit, but we found another place that was in a better spot for what my loved one needs.

"Peaceful end and great care for our Aunt"

We placed our Aunt here after checking out several places. From the moment we arrived, [Removed] had a detailed talk with us about our aunt's needs, medical history, and medications to find the best fit at Brookdale. We were shown around and met many residents. Her apartment was charming and spacious. She enjoyed the restaurant, made new friends, and received excellent care, which gave us peace of mind. Sadly, she passed away a few months after moving in. She often said she wished she had moved to assisted living sooner. Brookdale provided hospice care for her at the end. We are thankful that our Aunt spent her final months happy, well cared for, and surrounded by friends.

"Happy and Well-Cared For Here"

I live at this community now, and I'm doing great. The staff make sure I'm happy. The place is clean, and they clean my room every week. The food is tasty and fresh, and I enjoy it. I also get to go shopping at many stores, and the staff take me wherever I want. They treat me fairly, and if I need anything, I just call, and they come to help. The staff always make sure I'm satisfied with everything. I'm truly happy here.

"Relieved to Escape Mediocre Brookdale Fresno for Home"

Our stay at Brookdale Fresno was far from ideal. It was a stroke of luck that our house was still accessible enabling us to leave. The lack of privacy frustrated us, as the staff would enter without knocking early in the morning, which we found completely unacceptable. The meals served barely met our standards! On a brighter note, the community does welcome pets. However, the patio area lacked adequate space for our two small dogs. Our relations with the staff weren't entirely negative, but we're surely happy to be back in our own home.

"Review of Meadowbrook Assisted Living - Pleasantville, CA"

She was great at her job, carefully listening to our thoughts about finding a home for Mom at this time in her life. It was clear she has lots of experience with elders and could confirm that some behaviors we see are normal. We toured the whole community and were very pleased with the clean, peaceful feeling of the public spaces. Small groups of elders were sitting together visiting, and some were at tables by themselves. All residents interacted pleasantly with us when we greeted them. The two dining rooms provide an elegant atmosphere for a delicious meal. There were choices on the menu, as well as standard options always available. It felt like a very nice restaurant with tablecloths, menus, cloth napkins, and full table settings. The food looked fresh and tasty. A beauty parlor was available with manicure, pedicure, and hair services. Prices were very reasonable. The rooms were nicely designed with a small kitchen, a nice-sized living room with a patio or balcony, a bedroom large enough for a queen-size bed, a walk-in closet, and a fully equipped bathroom with a high-profile toilet. Really, the only negative is the distance from our home. Cost is also a factor.

"Friendly and Caring Staff"

She hasn't been there long, but I'd give the staff a 10 for friendliness. They're really nice and outgoing. I think they treat her well.

"The staff provides exceptional care."

It was only when Dad fell and got pneumonia, requiring rehab, that he had to leave Brookdale. But that wasn't Brookdale's fault. Hopefully, he'll return soon. Everyone except one staff member has been truly wonderful—they're so kind and take excellent care of him.

"Residents and staff are friendly and helpful."

The building, decorations, and grounds are really nice and well-maintained. The facility is always clean. The residents here are just as friendly and helpful as the staff. And a big plus is the delicious food!

"Loving My Spacious New Apartment!"

I liked it so much that I moved in on the first of the month! The staff and residents are all super helpful. It really says something when the residents tell me how great this place is and how much I’m going to love it. I love my spacious apartment, and the staff has gone above and beyond to get it exactly how I want. From the paint color to the TV mount and shelves in my walk-in closet, it’s perfect. Big thanks to everyone!

"Great food, friendly staff, and happy residents"

I have eaten there before and the food is really good. The food is home-cooked with many options. The only bad thing is the accounting. You have to check the invoices carefully. They are very friendly. The facility's layout is very nice. The food and activities are excellent. The residents look well taken care of and always well dressed. They seem very happy. This is a really nice place.

"Great care and no complaints about this impressive facility"

I don’t think they need to change anything. I’m really impressed with how they take care of my parents' needs. Overall, it’s a great place with no complaints.

"Exceeded Expectations in Every Way"

I was really impressed with the first presentation, and they have done even more than they promised. They always answer my questions and truly care about their residents. It's been a great experience, and I highly recommend Carrington Pointe.

"Excellent tour at Carrington Pointe Assisted Living in Fresno, CA"

"Great place with caring staff and affordable apartments!"

We were really happy with this community! It was clean and nice, and all the staff were friendly and caring. They were one of the few places we found that could work with a hospice waiver and worked well with the hospice service. I liked the layout because everything is in one area, not spread out over different floors, so the staff are always close by and quick to respond. The apartments were a bit bigger than others we saw and all had balconies, which was great. This place was also one of the most affordable we visited.

"Impressive Food"

My aunt sometimes gets a little confused, so it's tough to get a straight answer about how things are going. But it seems like she's settling in and doing much better. When she first arrived, she was really confused, but as she got used to it, she became a lot happier. The building is really nice. They take good care of it—keeping it clean and nicely decorated. The food is excellent. We've eaten there several times, and I've always been impressed. While it's not the absolute best, it's definitely one of the top places in town.

"9/10/2013 - Met Sabrina and she was great"

9/10/2013 - Met Sabrina and she was great. We're planning a lunch so Duel can decide. It's close to the VA Med Center. The place was clean and everyone seemed happy. Rooms were okay. The dog park and swimming pool are big pluses.

"Best Choice for Our Family"

My parents have been there for two weeks. They haven't joined in many activities yet, but everyone at the place is very friendly and caring. They listen well and try to solve any issues that come up. I’m very happy with them. My dad enjoys the food variety and has gained a few pounds, which is good because he needed it. Mom has both good and bad days, just like at home, but she's adjusting. The residents are very supportive. They offer three meals a day and transportation. Carrington Pointe gave us the largest unit at a fair price. It was the best choice for us.

"Plenty To Do"

My mom really likes it there. The food is much better than what she used to eat. They have lots of tasty options. The rooms are gorgeous, and everything looks new and nice. The people who take care of the residents are always around, but my mom is in independent living, so I can’t say much about their services. She goes to exercise classes every day and has made friends. There’s so much happening—places to visit and things to do. She stays busy.

"Liked the facility; good move-in special and features."

I visited on July 5th and liked the facility. They offer a move-in special for $1,900 a month for a one-bedroom apartment with a mini-kitchen and a balcony. The only rent increase is for cost of living. There's a $1,500 non-refundable deposit and help with assisted living services is available a la carte.

"Carrington Pointe Visit: Decent, Not as Great as Others"

Checked out Carrington Pointe recently. The place was okay but wasn't as good as the two other places we have seen lately (Windham in Fresno, Quail Park in Visalia). The shared spaces and apartment looked good. The food was alright. Not really feeling the friendly or welcoming vibes from people living there currently.

"Scarce Meals, Divided Dining Rooms, Fast-Paced Eating Times"

The food choices are scarce, dining rooms are split up, and there's always a quick rush when it's time to eat.

"Friendly Staff and Spacious Rooms!"

Wow, this place is really nice! The rooms are big, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. If you need an emergency button, you have to get your own.
