"Atria Shines Amidst Challenges"
We found that Atria Paradise, CA was the best place for my mom compared to other places nearby. She stayed there for 10 months. Over time, she became more social. We were happy she had such a nice time there. Sadly, the Camp Fire destroyed Paradise. Now, we're considering another Atria home because of our good experience with them.

"Atria Paradise: A Welcoming Home for Mom and Dad"
At Atria Paradise, we found the perfect place for both Mom and Dad. Mom has memory issues and stays in their special memory care unit, while Dad is in assisted living. The staff at Atria has been really accommodating by letting Dad sleep with Mom, which means a lot to us. They are easy to talk to and always answer our questions promptly. If Dad needs a cane or a walker, or if either of them takes a fall (thankfully without injury), the staff act quickly. The food is delicious and healthy, not too salty. There’s plenty of variety to choose from in the assisted living dining area, with options for special diets. In the memory care section, you can let them know about any special needs, although they don’t offer pureed food. The community is always clean and pleasant. They organize fun activities like circle time with exercises and group games with cards. They even encourage Dad to sing, which he loves. When we first visited, Dad recognized the place from his choral group’s performance there, and it felt like fate. Atria Paradise was the last place we visited, but it turned out to be the perfect fit for us. The only thing I wish they had is more organized information for families handling bills and specific needs for the memory care unit. Despite that, I highly recommend them.

"Friendly and Accommodating Assisted Living Facility"
We never actually moved in, but they helped reserve a place. When we thought my mom could move here, they understood that if she improved, we'd make the move. They kept a room available while we waited and helped us terminate our agreement. Overall, they've been great to work with, and it's a nice place.

"Friendly Staff but Organizational Changes Impact Communication"
The staff at Atria Paradise are really nice. Sometimes they don't communicate as well as I'd like though. About a year ago, Atria Paradise was bought by a company, and since then, things have been a bit messy. It used to feel more like a small-town place. There have been a lot of new people and other changes because of that. They let me bring my Labrador retriever and make changes to my meals, which has been great. Overall, they've been very friendly and willing to help.

"Great Value Assisted Living with Special Needs Accommodations"
The assisted living facility provides great services, a nice environment, and accommodates special needs. The dining room is a bit slow, but they're working on improvements. Convenient location near services and close to Chico. Overall, good value for the money spent.

"Nice and clean, but not our fit"
Oak Knoll is a very nice and clean place. We felt a bit more pressure here than at other places. The decor is darker but very elegant. It just wasn't as bright and open as other places. Overall, it was a very good place, just not what we were looking for.
