"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
This place wanted to put my mom straight into memory care, but that wouldn't have been right for her. The sign saying they'd hire anyone without experience was a bit unsettling. When I arrived, they weren't expecting me, which felt awkward. Plus, there was a COVID outbreak in memory care, so we couldn't see much.

"Excellent care and friendly atmosphere at Atria Park"
I think Atria Park is fantastic! It’s very clean, and the staff are amazing at taking care of everyone. They call me right away if my family member isn’t sleeping or if they need to reach the doctor. They’re always on top of things and keep me updated, which I really appreciate. Everyone knows each other, and even if I don’t recognize a staff member, they always know me by name. The place has a very friendly vibe. I like that you can get your hair done right there, and they even have a podiatrist who comes in. They always have fun activities going on, and they do a great job with them. The place itself looks stunning, almost like the Taj Mahal. It’s just a wonderful spot. Plus, since the memory care center has a smaller group, they can give more one-on-one attention and have enough staff to care for everyone.

"Atria Park: Convenient and Impressive Assisted Living"
We were really impressed with Atria Park. Our loved one's studio apartment on the 3rd floor is perfect for her. Everything she needs, like the dining hall and activities, is conveniently located on the same floor. Despite COVID restrictions, we'd recommend this community.

"Good experience, but maintenance promises not always kept."
I had to rate Activities fairly because Covid limits our view of what activities are like when my family member can join. Overall, the experience has been quite good. The administrative staff has responded well to my calls and questions. My family member likes the food, staff, and room. They handle Covid responsibly. The only issue is with the maintenance staff (director), who promises things will be done soon but doesn’t seem to follow through, which is very frustrating. Still, this place is better than the previous facility. We’re both glad we moved her in July.

"Considering assisted living for family member's care, important inquiries."
We found this place while searching. We want to know if they accept sliding scale for diabetes and provide the same care as a skilled nursing long-term care facility, like lifting from bed to wheel chair, toilet assistance, physical therapy, changing depends, and dressing. If they do, we're ready to move in. We'll check with them on Thursday. Thanks for setting up the appointment.

"Questioning Adequacy of Care and Services at Assisted Living Facility"
We know this place from looking around before 's fall on 8/3/17. Will they give care for diabetes on a sliding scale and offer the same support he gets at the long-term nursing home? Like moving from bed to wheelchair, to the bathroom, physical therapy, and help with changing clothes and so on? If so, when can we move in? We'll touch base with them on Thursday. Thanks for setting up the meet-up.

"Impressive Activities Director Shines in Tour of Spacious Facility"
I checked out this place while searching for somewhere for my Mom. It's really big and has a huge movie theater. The activities director was awesome, the best part. My sister-in-law and wife thought so too. We noticed everyone just sitting around, and it seemed like the staff didn't see them. Nothing's wrong with the place; it just wasn't right for Mom. I'd suggest it to other families.

"Great Tour: Good Senior Home with Plenty Offered"
This place is pretty good for someone you care about. We're fans of the variety they provide. The facility is tidy and well looked after. We were fans of their meal options and activities they do. We'd say other families should tour this place.

"Exceptional staff and good food, highly recommend"
My mother-in-law really likes it at Willowbrook. The staff is exceptional at making her and the family feel welcome and comfortable. They go out of their way to help. They are remodeling, and you can see that the money is being spent on the residents. I’ve heard from some other residents that the food is good and some of it is handmade.

"Disappointed with Mom's Care at Assisted Living Facility"
Our mom just moved into this assisted living facility, and we're still figuring things out. But so far, it's not going as well as we hoped. We were told she'd get a lot of care and attention, but it's not really happening.

"Great care and tasty meals, but staff turnover issues"
My mother really likes staying at Atria Park of Lafayette. The caregivers are very nice and always greet her by name. The only problem is that there’s a lot of staff turnover, so she doesn’t get used to them. The food is good, maybe a 4 out of 5. Sometimes they run out of orange juice, milk, and bread, which isn’t ideal. On Father’s Day, the chef made barbecue, and it was delicious.

"Avoid this Overpriced Assisted Living Facility, Clues Lie in Negligence"
This facility is positively dreadful! They prioritize money-making over the welfare of the residents. Tales of incorrect medication dosage, negligence, high staff turnover, and general dissatisfaction are widespread. Additionally, the prices are greatly inflated as compared to the other alternatives around. Don't be deceived by the impressive appearance and persuasive sales talk.

"Exorbitant Rates and Neglect at this Care Facility"
This place is just terrible! It seems like all they really care about is making money, and the needs of the residents are pushed to the side. There are countless stories about them not giving the right medications, ignoring the residents, and employees quitting because they're unhappy. Plus, it costs way more than other places nearby. Don't let the fancy looks and sweet talk trick you!

"Some room for improvement."
The place is really clean, but we're having trouble getting them to come in and clean our apartment. The common areas look nice, but housekeeping isn't happening automatically. The staff is friendly and hardworking. They had a dementia conference, but it was poorly planned in the movie room. Also, they don't stock certain items, and for the money paid, it feels like we're not getting our money's worth. There have been miscommunications, like not realizing we needed to provide our own toilet paper. They used to offer various jam flavors, but now it's just one flavor in a jar. Weekends are slow, and the meals seem rich and unhealthy.

"Atria Lafayette Shines with Top-Notch Care and Attention!"
Mom has been at Atria’s Life Guidance unit for 2 weeks now. We had high hopes for the care Mom would get, based on our past experiences. So far, the facility and staff have met those expectations. The place is clean and well-maintained, and the residents always look neat and well-dressed. They quickly arrange hair and manicure appointments, which has had a big positive effect on Mom's mood. The residents are involved in various activities throughout the day and are encouraged to join in. The staff is attentive and really seems to want to make Mom’s daily life as good as possible. I feel relieved knowing I’ve found the best care for her.

"Facility Review Summary"
The facility is gorgeous, tidy, and full of light. Jackie and her assistant were friendly and knowledgeable. I briefly met she, the Life Guidance care manager, but didn't have a chance for a real conversation. During the tour, he showed me the beautiful, clean Life Guidance area, which mirrored the AL side. Here are my impressions: 1. The layout might confuse my Mom initially, but it's small enough to overcome. 2. The cozy common room was just the right size, and I liked that caregivers and residents were making cupcakes together. 3. The patio and yard were comfortable and spacious for various activities. 4. The semi-private room seemed a bit small for two beds (currently empty), but the bathroom was a good size, and the window overlooked a lovely patio/garden area. 5. I forgot to ask about meal times, but all meals come from the main kitchen and are brought down to the Life Guidance facility. Both common areas have full kitchens, which is great. 6. Although I didn't chat with Warren, the nurse, the residents appeared well-cared-for. Wheelchairs were neatly parked while residents socialized. 7. I didn't check the shower facilities in Life Guidance, but if they're like the one in the studio apartment he showed me, we're in good shape. 8. I appreciate that Life Guidance residents can participate in AL activities. After sleeping on it, I really like this facility.

"Mom reluctantly chose Atria Lafayette and is settling in."
Mom was hesitant to visit three places but chose Atria Lafayette. She liked the peaceful environment, the friendly staff, and the few residents she met. It’s been almost a week, and she’s slowly getting comfortable. This is a big change for her since she’s never lived in an apartment before and had spent the last 11 years alone in her house of 53 years. The staff has been very helpful, assisting her with directions, meal services, transportation, and even bringing her evening treats like wine and cookies to her room.

"Pretty Facility with Friendly Staff, But Small Apartments"
The place is lovely with pretty surroundings. It's tidy and fancy. They have really nice features. But the apartments are small with no kitchen, just a tiny area to prepare food without a stove. The workers there are super nice. All the seniors there seem satisfied. They even let parents try it out temporarily. It's designed like an independent living/assisted living place.
