"Lack of Care and Missed Promises at Assisted Living Facility"
They're real good at acting like a decent place and taking your money. There's room for improvement in every single thing they do. Let me tell you, Atria was terrible. They make big promises and just don't deliver. The staff seems like they barely know what they're doing and they don't care about the people living there. They had the nerve to tell my family member that they're 'not the only one needing help,' making them feel guilty about asking for assistance. They left dirty dishes in the sink and trash piling onto the floor. Guess who ended up cleaning for my family member? Me, while paying them every month. Then the air conditioning messed up, causing a flood in their apartment that soaked the chair, electric blanket and even their socks. They didn't even provide my relative dry socks, just threw the wet blanket in a bag and left. My relative was in tears when they called me late in the night telling me the staff asked them not to bother them. They left my [age removed] family member sitting in a wet chair with wet socks. It could've caused a foot infection or worse if I hadn't been there. They didn't even try to dry the carpet or clean up the water the following day.

"Nice Looking Facility But Disorganized, No Follow Up Call"
The place looks good, but when we visited, things were really messed up. The person we were set to meet wasn't there, and the one who took over the tour seemed unprepared. And then the person who was supposed to explain the costs and stuff to us was supposedly busy or something. They told us someone would call us the next day about it. Now almost half a week has gone by and still, we haven't heard anything back from them.

"Expensive but Lacks Parking"
A bit pricey for a 1-bedroom at $6500 for 500 sq. ft. No garage or carport.

"Excellent care with a warm, welcoming atmosphere"
When we visited, the place had a cozy, modern vibe that both my mother-in-law and I really liked. She felt welcome right away, and we’re so happy with the facility. It’s been great for her. They check on her all the time, and the staff always goes the extra mile. They just don’t have 24-hour care for her new needs.

"Welcoming staff, informative tour, slightly pricey for budget."
This community was really nice! When my loved one and I got there, the staff were super nice and showed us around, telling us all about what they offer. But, it was a bit too expensive for what my parents could afford.

"One of our top picks!"
The community is wonderful, and our tour went really well. There were lots of activities, and the staff seemed to really care about the residents based on how they interacted with them. My mom liked the place a lot, but we didn’t choose it because it’s too far from our family. Otherwise, it was a great tour.

"Warm and Welcoming Assisted Living with High-Quality Services"
I visited the community and liked the nice staff. The place is super nice and fancy. While I was there, they gave me cookies and fresh bread. I saw that families can order food too. It's not big, but they know how to take care of people well.

"Great staff and happy residents, though a bit pricey"
I was really impressed with this place right away. They had fresh flowers at the entrance and comfy, clean chairs on the patio. The seniors looked happy and were enjoying themselves. What really made me choose this place was the staff they truly wanted to help my dad, no matter what. It’s a bit expensive, but the peace of mind you get is worth it.

Atria San Juan is the top choice among assisted living facilities. The staff’s interactions with residents are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Both Maureen and Kim, who are part of the staff, are very helpful.

"Pleasantly Content"
He felt really happy at Atria San Juan. Sometimes, it's tough to reach the staff. The dining area and setup were pleasant. However, the spaces for mobility devices were a bit tight—even the hallways. It's puzzling how a senior facility lacks enough room for these devices. On the bright side, the outdoor areas are lovely. Overall, it's been a good experience.

"Atria of San Juan Capistrano is a true blessing for families"
My father-in-law lives in the memory care unit on the 2nd floor. The Life Guidance facility has been a huge help and blessing for our family. The director, is amazing. She has really made us feel welcome and comfortable as we went through the tough decision and change for our father. The staff is friendly, helpful, well-trained, and patient with the residents, families, and visitors. Silvia has been fantastic with my father-in-law and really cares about each resident’s needs. The place is beautifully landscaped and in a calm and peaceful setting. The living and gathering areas are nicely decorated, very comfortable, clean, and well-kept. We couldn’t be happier.

"Excellent facility, lacking proactive communication"
This place is pretty expensive, but I guess most places like it are. Still, it's totally worth the money because they really provide good value. The only thing they could improve is keeping us in the loop better. Since all of my siblings live out of state, it's super important that they keep us updated when something happens or just check in every now and then. Whenever I call, they get back to me, but it would be even better if they reached out first sometimes. The place itself is awesome. It's super clean, and the food is really good. The people who work here are amazing! Kim Moore in sales and Jennifer Frost in memory care have been especially awesome. They're so caring and kind, I couldn't ask for better!

"Friendly, clean, family-focused, good value, tasty food"
The care services are decent, but the way they're given seems a bit unreliable. The best parts about the community are how clean it is, how friendly the staff is, and that it's a good value for the money. They seem to care a lot about families. The food is really good.

"Great place but not a good fit for social connections"
We really liked it. We enjoyed that they took trips to Dana Point Harbor for walks. However, we didn’t expect it to be so hard for her to make friends and form social connections, because the other residents were not a good fit for her. The place is clean and friendly, but it just wasn’t the right match for my loved one.

"Overall, I’m Pleased"
The cost depends on how much help you need. If you’re independent, it’s one rate, but it goes up if you need more assistance. Right now, my mom has the lowest level of help. Overall, I’m satisfied. Since she’s at the lowest care level, I still handle her medical appointments. They would take her, but it’s probably best for me to be there because Mom doesn’t remember what the doctors say. She joins some activities, not all. They have walks to Dana Point Harbor a few times a week, outings to Trader Joe’s or shopping, and driving tours to beaches. Occasionally, she goes on those. She hasn’t been to the movies, and even though they had symphony tickets, she didn’t feel like going to that either.

"Renovations and Room Size Issues"
The place didn't seem that clean, but they were doing renovations which might be why. The rooms they had for the taking were too tiny for our needs. It's tough enough moving from a house to a smaller place, so we're trying to find my mom and step-dad the biggest space possible.

"Beautiful Community with Golf Course View and Great Alzheimer’s Care"
We chose this place because it’s close to home. We looked at a few other places around here, and this one was the best. I really liked the staff and their way of handling Alzheimer’s care. It’s smaller than the other places, so it feels more like home while still being secure. There’s a nice porch upstairs in the Alzheimer’s care unit with a great view of the San Juan Golf Course. The community backs right up to the golf course, so it’s really beautiful. Alzheimer’s care costs about $6,200 a month here.
