"Hidden Fees and Service Issues at Living Facility"
I’ve been living here for five years, and I’m still caught off guard by all the extra costs that pop up. The word “personal” is the latest trick. When they say laundry, they only mean your bed sheets and towels. If you want your clothes washed, it’s gonna cost you at least $15 a load. That adds up to a lot each month. I end up doing a lot of my laundry by myself, which is really exhausting, especially when the laundry worker keeps losing my stuff or mixing it up with someone else’s because they don’t check the machines. You’d be smart to have a lawyer look over all the fine print before you decide to move in here. And get this, every January, our rent goes up by about 10 percent, but we don’t see any better services. We can’t even count on getting our rooms cleaned regularly.

"Mom-Friendly Assisted Living"
Nice place, friendly staff, but bland food. Mom enjoys exercise.

"A Friendly, Beautiful Place with Amazing Food!"
The assisted living facility is gorgeous! The staff and residents are super friendly, and the food is top-notch. Plus, it’s in a great location. I was really impressed by how social and happy everyone is here, and the menu is so creative!

"Mixed feelings about assisted living facility"
We would have given this community 5 stars, but recently they decided to raise the rates almost triple, and our loved one hasn't even been there a year. The place is very clean, and the staff are friendly, but they need to communicate better. Our loved one really enjoys the meals and dining service, and the activities are starting to come back. However, we're a little upset and confused about the community asking residents to chip in for Christmas gifts for the caregivers, especially since it's based on the length of time they've been there.

"Better Value at Kensington"
We checked out the first place. I liked it, but the cheapest room was tiny with a gloomy roof view. Other rooms looked better but cost more. My sister preferred the Kensington—it was much nicer. In the end, you get what you pay for. Both places offer graduated care, which matters as we age.

"Misleading Facade, Mediocre Care: Shop Around Before Committing"
This place looks really nice when you first see it, like they're trying hard to get you to move in. But once you put down the $5000 deposit, you realize that the care, food, room cleaning, and maintenance are just okay, not great. They're really good at making sure they get paid, though. Make sure you look at other options before you decide on this one.
