"More Activities Needed at Avalon Care Home in Fairfield, CA"
I don't know much about Avalon Care Home at 2630 Orchard St. in Fairfield, CA because my wife stays at the one on 5082 Rasmussen. The big issue I have with this place is that it feels like solitary confinement for my wife. Most of the time, there's nothing to do and no one to talk to. There are four other residents, but three of them can't really talk or interact at all. The other lady there and my wife don't seem to get along, so my wife mostly stays in her own room. It's pretty lonely for her. I got her a TV and visit her often, taking her out for lunch about once a week. I try to spend as much time with her as I can. My wife really likes the owner, and so do I. She takes my wife out sometimes and does her nails. She's a very nice lady. What I'm trying to say is, there should be more activities at this home.
