"A Wonderful, Clean Place with Attentive Staff"
My mother was here, and it was a wonderful place. It felt really happy. The staff were cheerful and attentive to her needs. The facility was very clean and did laundry daily. They don’t offer planned activities, so I had to bring puzzles and games. There are only 12 residents, mostly with dementia and using wheelchairs. My mom had her own room with a TV and a private bathroom. I liked that it didn’t smell like bleach or anything unpleasant. I would recommend this place to other families.

This residence, along with its owner and staff, truly deserves recognition for the amazing care they provide. Here’s our story, which we hope helps others: Our family found this cozy place at the last minute, just when our 88-year-old mom needed 24-hour care right after leaving a skilled nursing facility. Mom was in the last stages of Alzheimer's, needing constant help with her incontinence, daily activities, and moving around. The on-site owner, and Her care manager, really understood what Mom needed. Over time, we realized how lucky we were to find this place. They didn’t just meet Mom’s needs but also anticipated them. Her incontinence was always managed well, and we were updated on any medical needs, allowing us to be proactive too. I could always count on them to contact me if Mom needed anything. They even went the extra mile, helping with phone calls by showing Mom photos and sending them back to me. The other residents seemed well cared for too and kept Mom company at the community table or while watching TV. The home was always clean, and the only smells were from cooking food. Mom and the other residents were treated with dignity, affection, and good humor. In Mom’s last month, Light Bridge hospice care was essential, and Lightbridge provided the excellent care they promised. When Mom was passing, The on-site owner and their staff were incredibly supportive. My siblings and I felt their care and love for Mom.

"A Happy Place for Mom"
I think Avocado Creek is the best home for my 97-year-old mom. I took care of her at home for over 9 years, but then I got cancer and needed surgery right away. I had to find a place quickly, and Avocado Creek was perfect. The people there are alert, active, happy, and friendly. Other places were clean but gloomy, and the people didn't seem happy. The staff at Avocado Creek works hard to keep everything clean and friendly, and they give special attention to those who need it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a happy place for their loved one.

""Owner Missing, Assistant's Tour Lacks Answers""
The owner of this place was nowhere to be found, so I got a tour from an assistant. Unfortunately, the assistant didn't know everything and left a lot of my questions unanswered. The whole experience was far from satisfactory.

We’re really happy with Avocado Creek! It’s well run and organized. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The place is always clean and tidy, and the food is good too! I highly recommend them!

"Safe, caring place with excellent staff and clean environment"
As a daughter, I was really worried about finding the right place for my mom because of all the scary stories you hear. My mom depends on me completely, so I was very scared. But this place has been so safe for her. Avocado Creek has been a blessing for my family and me. The owner has kept her promises. She treats everyone like she would want her own family treated. She is fair and honest and has done so much to help my mom. I will always be grateful to her. My mom’s main caretaker and I love her! She takes great care of my mom, which means a lot to me. I visit my mom 3 to 4 times a week. The place is always clean, and the other residents look well cared for too. I would recommend this place to anyone. Sincerely, Douglas Family

"Quiet Hilltop Home with Great Views and Clean Rooms"
This place is in a quiet part of Escondido, up on a hill with a great view and nice breeze. Every room has a ceiling fan and a French door that opens to the wrap-around walkway or patio. The rooms are really nice and super clean. The Director is very professional.
