After my sister had several strokes that left her in a wheelchair and unable to take care of herself, she was lucky to find Bella Care Home on Houston Avenue in Fresno. She has been there for over a year now and is doing much better than I expected. I’m very happy with the activities and the care she’s received.

"Bella Care - Offering Comfort and Familiarity with Exceptional Care."
'My mom has lived at BC for about a year now. At first, she didn’t really want to move, but the folks at Bella Care gave her a warm welcome. They did everything they could to make her new place feel like home, like arranging for her to regularly get her hair and nails done, which she really cares about. They cater to her needs most of the time. The meals they make are healthy and look great. The staff spend time with the residents, making everything feel like one big family. Bella Care gets the residents into the festive spirit by involving them in holiday preparations, and they even throw a fantastic holiday lunch in December. Aside from making sure my mom is cared for, the staff understand our family situation well. My sister and niece live close by and are the ones who usually keep in touch with mom. They often bring questions to the staff. As for me, I live three hours away, so I mostly communicate with the owners via texts, emails, and phone calls. They always respond quickly. It's tough having our mom live away from us, but Bella Care eases our minds because we know she’s in good hands.'

"Bella Care: Welcoming, clean, and caring with great food!"
I have two relatives, a husband and wife, at Bella Care. I checked out at least ten homes before deciding on Bella Care. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was the right place. The home is so welcoming, and I knew they would be happy and well cared for. The 24-hour care from the most caring professionals was more than I expected. I have never regretted choosing Bella Care, and you won't either. The place is super clean, and the meals are nutritious and look great. Even my picky eater loves the food. Bella Care truly cares about their residents. It's a home I would choose for myself when the time comes.

"Great care and support at Bella Care"
My mom stayed at Bella Care for over a year and got great care. The owners, who are nurses with full-time jobs, were always friendly and easy to talk to. The staff made good meals and took care of my mom at night. I felt comfortable visiting and asking questions. They worked hard to give us a beautiful brunch on the patio for Mother's Day. I also loved being invited to a full Thanksgiving dinner off-site. Thank you, Bella Care, for your love and support.

"Great place for mom"
My brother and I put our 96-year-old mom in Bella Care home on 5/30/17. Mom was worried at first, but after seeing the home and meeting staff and other residents, her fears disappeared. She's happy there, gets good care, and likes the friendly staff. The place is clean, smells nice, and feels like a real home. They have 6 residents max, and I appreciate how they eat and exercise together. The caregivers are professional and kind. I highly recommend this facility. It gives us peace of mind knowing Mom is in a great place.

This place is beautiful. The caretakers are very caring and friendly. The home is always clean. The residents are happy and well looked after. You can visit anytime, and there’s lots of interaction. I recommend it—my two relatives are very happy here. All the residents get along.

"Mom Happy with Care, Sparse Activities"
Mom enjoys the food, and the caregivers are very attentive. However, there aren't many activities, and some ladies aren't interested, so there's not much chance to socialize. They mentioned Bible study and Bingo, but I haven't seen them happening. They did take them to see Christmas lights, but it's not regular. The neighborhood and setting are nice, creating a welcoming environment which is why I chose them.

"Inviting Environment with Limited Activities; Nice Neighborhood and Setting"
Mom likes the food, and caregivers are attentive. Few activities though, less socializing. Promised Bible study and Bingo, but rarely seen. Occasional outings like Christmas lights. Nice neighborhood and setting, why chosen.

"Compassionate care with a homey feel at Bella Care"
After my 92-year-old mom fell again, we realized she needed more help than assisted living could offer. I live in Seattle, so my husband and I spent almost 7 weeks in Clovis, helping her recover and looking at other options. During this time, an employee at her current facility gave me a list of possible board and care homes. I visited Bella Care on Pierce first and saw residents enjoying a baseball game on TV. They were lively and friendly, which was exactly what I wanted. Later, I also checked out a second Bella Care home nearby. Both places are beautiful, with a homey feel, lovely landscaping, and outdoor areas. They make sure new residents will get along well with current ones. The owners, are both nurses at a local hospital. They are very caring and I felt great about leaving my mom’s care and medications in their hands.

"Outstanding care and activities"
I was really impressed with Bella Care Homes in Clovis. They offer so much more than other places. I love how the day is organized so residents aren't just sitting around watching TV. They were doing puzzles, using iPads, and coloring. They even have exercise times. My 96-year-old mom doesn't have dementia, so she needed a peaceful and calm place like this. The staff were friendly and truly cared about her. The living room feels just like a normal home. I would give it 5 stars based on what I saw.

"Bella Care: A Homey, Happy Place for Our Mom"
We first found Bella Care when we needed to move our 92-year-old mom from her home. We didn't know where to start, so we asked Gail from "A Choice for Seniors" for help. Gail, who used to work for "A Place for Mom," explained the different types of facilities in Fresno. She suggested we visit two "Board and Care" homes and gave us their contact info. My sister and I visited Bella Care first. It was bright, clean, and smelled like delicious food. We met Len, the owner, who was super friendly and knowledgeable. We felt Bella Care was perfect for our mom. The second place we visited was dark, gloomy, and had an empty pool. It didn't smell good either. When we asked a caregiver about the pool, she said they couldn't afford to maintain it. We left quickly and went back to Bella Care with our other sibling. He was also very impressed and agreed that Bella Care was the best choice. Since December 2014, we've been so happy with Bella Care. It's friendly, inviting, and feels like home. Len decorates for all the holidays and brings in choirs and other entertainment for the residents. They even have a dog that the residents love. The meals are well-balanced and delicious. Every time I've visited, the plates are always clean because the residents love the food. On our first tour, we asked a resident about the food, and she said, "I hope I never have to leave here." Hearing stories from friends about their parents' facilities makes us feel even more blessed to have our mom at Bella Care.

Bella Care Home LLC is a fantastic place to live. Since I’m 4 hours away, it’s a relief to know Mom is in good hands at Bella Care Home. She loves calling it her second home. She’s happy, well cared for, and feels like part of a family. I enjoy visiting and hearing about her new friends.

"Top-notch care, highly recommended, warm family atmosphere"
My mother was lucky to spend her last days at Bella. My wife and I did a lot of research and visited several places before choosing Bella. Len and Phil run a top-notch home at fair prices. It’s always clean and smells fresh. Len and Phil are very caring, and it shows. My mother was well cared for, and everything was just as they promised. Even though Mom wasn’t always in a good mood, Bella did their best to make her comfortable. They also arranged for outside caregivers when needed. Bella has a warm, family-like atmosphere that we didn’t find anywhere else. Before Bella, Mom stayed at another home, which was okay but nowhere near as good as Bella. We know a lot about care homes now, and Bella is the best. I highly recommend Bella and have great respect for Len and Phil. I wouldn’t hesitate to choose Bella again if needed.

"Amazing Care for Our Mom"
Bella Care Home has been a huge help to our family. After our 94-year-old Mom broke her hip last year, she needed 24-hour care. The care at Bella Care Home has been amazing, and Mom couldn't be happier. The caregivers and owners are very attentive, provide lots of activities, and show so much love. We are very grateful for the care they give our mother.

When my mom broke her hip at 87, we tried a big senior care facility that looked good from the outside. However, it quickly became clear that mom wasn’t getting the care she deserved. The staff often made excuses, blaming each other for her poor care. We knew she deserved better. After asking around, we learned that Bella Care Home LLC was highly recommended. From the moment my mom arrived at Bella Care Home LLC, we knew we had made the right choice. The owners are nurses, and their team is very caring and attentive. They treated my mom like she was their own mother, which is how I hope to be treated as I get older. The staff kept us informed about every detail of my mom’s health, and they made family members feel welcome. All the staff are kind and compassionate. If your parent deserves the best care like mine did, Bella Care is the place to go. It’s the only care home I would recommend.

Bella Care Home LLC was suggested by a friend of our daughter. It has been a true blessing. The place is very clean, and the staff is really caring. Other assisted living places couldn't meet the high quality of life we needed. Mom gets personal care, socializes with other residents, and enjoys activities. It's wonderful to see her smile. We can visit any time, without warning.

"Unqualified Staff at Assisted Living Facility, Owners Absent"
I removed my husband from this place. It didn't suit him at all. The whole experience was super tough. I honestly believe the staff wasn't ready to handle my husband's specific problems. They just didn't seem to know enough about caring for older folks. The people who ran the place seemed competent, but they weren't around to sort out the issues.
