"Basic Care, Lacking Compassion"
My dad, who was 94, spent his final year at this place. They looked after him, but nobody really tried to do more than what was required. I had to keep reminding them to clean his hearing aids and cut his nails. Plus, they left spoiled food in his refrigerator. All he needed was a bit of care and attention. It was pretty clear that they had a lot of people leaving their jobs, and there weren’t enough trained nurses. I noticed he was getting thinner and asked them to weigh him every week, but they wouldn’t do it without a doctor’s note. And when he passed away, the only people who reached out were from the hospice I hired myself. For the amount we paid every month, it was really disappointing.

"Great Care and Good Communication"
They always watch over the residents and encourage them to join activities. They keep you updated when things change. From what we’ve seen, there’s nothing that needs improvement. My father-in-law says his days aren't spectacular, but he can't say what would make them better.

"Staff quit often; wished to have relocated mom sooner."
The staff at this assisted living place quits all the time. Nurses, helpers, even the people who serve food in the dining area just leave right in the middle of their shifts! I moved my mom to a different place called The Canterbury, and funny enough I saw many ex-employees from the first place now working here. I really wish I had moved my mom out of that first place earlier.

"High Costs and Staff Issues at Belmont Village"
If we had to do this all over again, we wouldn't choose Belmont Village. The high cost makes us hesitate, and there's a risk of losing customers because residents can say no to assistance. For example, we wanted our loved one to get help with bathing, eating, and changing clothes. But when the staff came in, if our loved one refused, they'd just leave. We ended up paying extra for an outside companion to ensure proper care.

"Understaffed, poor food, dementia-heavy environment, not recommended for clarity."
They don't have enough workers. Food and service are bad. Depends on your needs. Not recommended if you're mentally sharp.

"Pleasant Place, But Lacks Resident Activities"
The living place looked lovely and was super tidy. We really liked how well everything was taken care of. The people working there were super nice, and it was clear they really cared for the folks living there when we chatted with them. But when we walked around, we didn’t spot any residents hanging out, doing things, or seeing any visitors. It was so silent, it kind of made us think of a hospital room when it’s quiet time.

"Friendly and Pleasant Assisted Living Facility"
I had a good tour of this place. Everyone was really nice and happy. The community seemed nice from what I could see. The staff helped me a lot and were very kind. This is a happy place. They take good care of the people who live here. The tour was nice, and I liked it.
