"Staffing Challenges Affect Service Quality at Assisted Living Facility"
Just like many other places, the staffing issues here make it hard to give a perfect score. The dining room and activities are short on staff. However, all the employees who do work there give it their all, putting in 100% effort.

"Friendly But Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
I really felt let down. They made us feel easy, saying every little thing would turn out okay since "this is our job." But this wasn't how it went. Sure, they were pretty friendly when they got us to register. But by the time everything was done, it was quite an unpleasant encounter.

"Bad Management and Poor Conditions at Belmont Thousand Oaks"
The Belmont at Thousand Oaks is badly run. Sadly, my mother-in-law lives there. There's a big problem with staff not sticking around, especially the pals, or care aides. These aides are really kind and work hard, but they're not valued. A lot of the time, there just aren't enough aides. Once, there were only 3 on shift. The Belmont's food is disgusting, and this is because chefs also quit often. The residents regularly chat with the director, Bradlee, to share their worries and offer ideas. But Bradlee always just says she'll "look into it," though it's obvious nothing gets changed. The lack of aides and the nasty food never improve. If The Belmont actually cared, they'd get a new manager who's kinder and more capable.

"Belmont Assisted Living: A Good Choice for Most Families"
My 93-year-old mom fell and broke her hip. After surgery, she wasn't the same. I moved her to Belmont because she couldn't swallow well and her health changed. At first, she made sense during assessments, but soon it was clear she needed memory care. Now she's under hospice care at Belmont. I'm satisfied now. Before, I felt she wasn't looked after enough. Hospice helped, but communication between nurses, staff, and caregivers needs improvement. Still, Belmont is a good place for those not close to the end.

"Unkept Promises and Poor Service at Assisted Living Home"
They push you hard to join, then they can't follow through on their promises. The service is terrible and never the same. They don't consistently check on the residents like they promised. The food is bad for older people - just search "greasy food stroke risk for seniors" in Google. They say they'll fix anything that's broken, but never actually do. It's clear that both the staff and bosses really don't care about the residents and they quit frequently. The residents are really unhappy and feel like things have drastically gone downhill over the past year.

"Lovely Tour, Friendly Staff"
I really enjoyed touring Belmont Village Thousand Oaks. The place is beautiful. The staff was super friendly and knew a lot. They answered all our questions. My friend was a bit worried about the memory care security. It wasn’t the right fit for us.

"Friendly Staff!"
I visited this community for my father, and I have no complaints. The staff were easy to talk to and punctual for our appointment. They provided us with plenty of helpful information and answered all our questions thoroughly. The property was well-maintained and offered great amenities. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t the right location for us in the end.

"Nice Assisted Living Facility!"
Based on what I observed, this place is really nice. It looked beautiful and tidy, and the staff were super friendly and useful. Our biggest worry was the facility's location and the fact that they didn't offer the right level of care for my loved one. But overall, it was a very pleasant experience!

My visit to this place was great. They didn’t have a program for Parkinson’s disease, so we decided not to choose it.

"Outstanding care and community"
The care at this place is amazing. The staff always keeps me updated on her progress. The meals are healthy and have a good variety. The community is clean and well-maintained. There are lots of fun activities, and she enjoys the games and learning to knit. She's always active with her friends. We highly recommend this place for the great care and value for other families.

"Not Enough Men Residents"
When I visited for my tour, I noticed that most of the residents were dealing with more advanced memory conditions. There were also many women, but not enough men in this community. It didn't feel like the right fit.

"Fantastic Assisted Living Experience with Caring Staff"
My mom has been at Belmont for five weeks. Moving her from the hospital to a memory care unit was a big change, and I didn't have much time to prepare. I visited several facilities but chose Belmont Village. [Removed] was incredibly supportive and helpful, which was a key reason I picked Belmont. The whole staff has been amazing. They’ve really gone out of their way to help us during this tough time. [Removed], the Executive Director, has been there for us every step of the way. All the staff members are caring and attentive, truly concerned about the residents' well-being. [Removed] and [Removed] are doctors who are available to see residents by appointment. I decided to use this service, and the doctors are fantastic. They really listen to both patients and their families. I attend every appointment with Dr. [Removed], and I appreciate how she explains things clearly. Dr. [Removed] has also seen my mom and has been great, explaining everything thoroughly. Their flat rate pricing means no unexpected costs at the end of the month. I highly recommend Belmont.

"Great care and support for my father!"
My dad has been here for nearly 2 months, and it’s been amazing. He’s getting healthier, and the staff is very involved. He still misses home a bit, but they do everything they can to make him feel comfortable and welcome.

"Room Layout Lacks Privacy"
The workers were super nice and told us everything about their place when we visited. But, the rooms weren't set up right. If my mom had to share, her bed would practically touch her roommate's, giving no privacy. It just wasn't right for her.

"A Great Place for Dad to Live and Enjoy"
I wish I could give Belmont 100 stars! My dad loves living there. Every staff member is kind, caring, and goes out of their way to help us. My dad always looks clean and well taken care of. It’s so much better than the care he was getting at home. He sleeps better and really enjoys all the activities, especially happy hour. I’m forever grateful to A Place for Mom for recommending Belmont Village.

"Belmont Provides Wonderful Care and Activities for Mom!"
My mom has lived at Belmont for 3 years. The staff has been amazing and caring. She feels safe and well looked after. There are plenty of activities, outings, and special events like cook-outs and casino nights. Her memory is getting a bit worse, so the PALS check on her often. Cindy, the activities director, is great at encouraging her to join in on outings and daily activities. Tammy and Ed, the drivers, take her for rides, which she loves. The nursing staff knows her medication and keeps track of her health issues. They do a fantastic job keeping me updated, even though I live 1600 miles away. The wellness staff helps her stay active with physical and occupational therapy. She adores Angel! The dining room is excellent. The wait staff knows her preferences, and when she’s unsure, they choose for her. I can't praise the staff and facility enough. It’s pricey, but knowing she is safe, well-cared for, and involved at 96 is worth it.

"Thoughtful, genuine, and caring staff with great food."
I looked at a few places, but I liked that Belmont is privately owned and managed. They have a good caregiver-to-resident ratio and respond quickly to anything. The staff is very thoughtful, genuine, sincere, and caring. They really take good care of my wife, and she's adjusting well. They offer many activities, and while most aren’t for her, they’ve customized some just for her. She loved the food right away, and I think it’s really good too.

"Professional and Caring Memory Care Unit Tour"
I toured the memory care unit and saw the dementia programs and staff. The staff seemed professional, warm, and attentive. The programs looked well planned for dementia patients. The staff appeared patient and skilled in handling dementia issues. The facility is clean and upscale. I don’t have a loved one here, so I can’t personally rate it, but the tour was good.

I visited a lot of places, but Belmont Village was the friendliest and most helpful. They have everything you need, so you don't have to go anywhere else. The care has been amazing. They always try to help my loved one, even though she can still do a lot on her own. I'm really impressed.

"Amazing Facility with Friendly Staff and Great Care"
The facility is incredibly clean. If you need to be in a place like this, I think it's a fantastic choice. My best friend lives here and seems very comfortable. Everyone there is super friendly. The care services and activities are top-notch. From what I've seen, they’re doing a great job taking care of her. I can’t comment on the value since I’m not sure about it.

"Best place for senior living"
From the first phone call, our experience with Belmont Village was amazing. The staff is always caring and professional, showing they hire and train great people. The place is beautiful, with a warm and fun atmosphere – it's all about real senior living, not just keeping seniors alive. Having rehab and extra support services on-site makes it easy to meet our parents' physical and mental needs, with flexibility for individual concerns. We've checked out many other places, and this one is the best by far. We're so happy our parents feel at home here, even after a short time.

"Decent Facility, But Needs Improvement and Better Adjustment"
This place isn't really what we thought it'd be. My mom hates how quick everything happens in the morning; it's all a bit much for her. Moving in here wasn't exactly easy. But it's only been a month, so we're hoping things start to look up. The facility itself is pretty nice – it's clean and everyone working here is cool. They could totally use some better training and care services though. When I've brought up stuff that concerned me, they seemed willing to listen and make changes if they could.

"Engaging Activities, Room Size Concerns for Spoiled Mom"
They didn't have a big room when I looked. My mom is picky, used to a huge house. Money's not a problem. I tried finding the biggest room so she doesn't feel cramped. They said it might be available by year-end, so I'm thinking about moving. I like how they involve the residents. If my mom refuses to leave her room after lunch, they'll send someone to coax her out for activities. If that doesn't work, they'll sit with her. They have lots of activities to keep her busy and calm her down when she gets upset in the evening.

"Convenient location, friendly atmosphere for my dad."
My dad moved to Belmont Village recently. It's great because it's only three minutes away from our home in Thousand Oaks. Since my parents know the area well, they feel comfortable here. My dad even calls his neighbors his friends.

"Belmont Failed to Offer the Comfort and Assurance We Needed"

"Local Assisted Living Residence Overpriced Despite Cleanliness"
This place is not far from us. It just has 1-bedroom apartments (or smaller) and for the two of us to live in the largest size it would cost around $8000. It's a clean, nice, and fairly new place, but it feels a bit too expensive. The mini kitchen doesn't look very good (even though we wouldn't be cooking much, it still looks cheap), but the bathrooms are spacious and there's a walk-in closet. However, you're expected to do your laundry somewhere else - that seems pretty bothersome to me... They do have a lot of pre-planned trips.
