"Care Fell Short at Assisted Living Facility"
I picked this place because it was close by and the cost was the lowest I could find. The staff was friendly, but the care didn't match what we talked about. Thankfully, my loved one is back home with me now.

"Clean, Friendly, Needs More Staff for Excellence"
Brightwater is a really clean and bright place with a friendly atmosphere. The people who work there really care and they work hard, but I think they need more staff. In my opinion, there should be more people to help out. Overall, we're glad our mom lives there and she's happy too.

"Disappointing Experience at Brightwater Community for Aunt's Care"
I believed Brightwater would be perfect for my Aunt. But, I had to take her away because the staff wasn't attentive, and the expenses kept increasing.

"Staffing Needs Improvement, Overall Happy with Brightwater Assisted Living"
Brightwater is a pretty place. My mom loves it there. I think they need more staff, but that’s hard everywhere now.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
The food isn't good. The facility seems nice, but you need to be cautious when they evaluate your loved one. It's more suitable for high-functioning people.

"Inconsistent Services and Support; Pricey for Assisted Living Needs"
Housekeeping is often short-staffed. They clean our rooms and do our laundry weekly, which is okay but could be better. The nurses and assistants are helpful, but sometimes it takes too long for them to respond when we need help. We wish they could come up with more fun things for us to do and encourage us to join in. Overall, it costs a bit much for what we get. Our experience here has been up and down; we have to keep checking in to make sure Mom's okay. I was hoping for more help and peace of mind when I'm not here with her.

"Assisted Living Facility Needs Improvement, Consider Alternatives"
This place could use more staff and better training for residents. Communication between staff is lacking. The phone system is a mess because it's only AT&T. They should consider other companies. Transportation has issues; van breakdowns cause cancellations without backup plans. It's pricier compared to other places nearby.

"Poor Management and Inconsistent Staff Quality at Assisted Living Facility"
The folks running the place were dreadful. A few people on their team were nice, while others weren't. The food in the eating area was decent, but the meal service was not up to par for those needing special care like memory patients. The place itself looked good, but the staff quality was hit or miss, and those who were there to help, did their jobs well. Generally, the bosses seemed unfriendly. Once you move in, they didn't seem to care anymore.

Clean, nice facility, lacks rapid care response, leans toward independence.

"Pretty Place, High Price, Tiny Rooms"
I had a good look at this pretty nice community. But wow, they charge a lot. Everything looked new and clean, which was nice. The place they showed me to stay was way too small though. It was good to see it all, but with such high costs, you'd think they'd have bigger rooms.

"Unaddressed Issues Lead to Unexpected Costs at Brightwater"
I'm finding a serious gap between the head honchos at Brightwater and their staff. We were clear about our worries and limitations before we moved in. The sales folks and top dogs assured us we wouldn't face any problems. However, now that we've moved in, the medical guys are saying we "need" to shell out more money for additional services. Specifically, they're suggesting we pay for stuff that's only there to make Brightwater's job easier. Nobody's been able to justify why these services are necessary for the well-being of our relative. Still, the medical crew insists that I must cough up extra bucks for their own drugstore (even though the contract or service agreement doesn't mention these costs).

The facility is very nice. However, my parents felt they weren’t ready for assisted living and chose not to move in.

"Too Soon for Complete Verdict on Bright Water"
The place and my folks are still getting used to each other. It's only been one week. The workers are super friendly and caring. I'm not fully ready to give a full evaluation yet. I'd rather give a true appraisal after my parents have been there for a few months. It's still early days and we don't know exactly how much help my parents really need and if Bright Water can eventually provide it all.

"Smooth Transition to Assisted Living with Supportive Staff and Environment"
My dad's still getting used to the move to the community, but we know it takes time. So far, he's doing okay. The staff is treating him well. The place looks nice, and the people are friendly. He's even made some new friends, which is great. If you're going through this too, just make sure to tell the staff what your loved one needs so they can help.

"A nice place, but needs better follow-through."
Brightwater Senior Living is a really nice place overall. However, they could work on following through with what they promise during the sales pitch, as some things weren't exactly as advertised.

"Feels like home"
We recently moved my mother-in-law into Brightwater. Right away, we knew we had picked a great place. The staff are all friendly and very professional. In the first few weeks, we had some concerns. We talked to Jennifer Lee, the Executive Director, Elizabeth Jimenez, the Assistant Director, and Helen Williams and Tamara Perez, the Resident Care Managers. They addressed our concerns quickly and professionally. Brightwater is a beautiful, open, and airy place with windows everywhere. There are several well-maintained outdoor spaces, including two lovely courtyards. They also have a coffee shop, theater, arts and crafts room, exercise room, spa, hair salon, and chapel. The nursing staff delivers meds on time with a smile and a cheerful attitude. When you enter the building, the Administrative Assistant greets you with a smile and can answer any questions or direct you to the right person. If you arrive after 5 pm, you'll meet the receptionist, Linda, who is also very friendly and always smiling. They make you feel like family in no time. The dining room is warm and cozy. The chefs prepare amazing, tasty meals, and the friendly staff often includes Jennifer or Elizabeth, who chat with the residents or refill their drinks. The residents seem happy and cheerful, quickly greeting new residents and helping them feel at home. We hope to have a long, happy time with Brightwater and can't thank A Place for Mom enough for finding a home for our mom.

"Incongruity and Disconnection at Brightwater Senior Living"
Our time dealing with Brightwater Senior Living has unfortunately turned out to be quite disappointing. It feels as if there's a noticeable gap in communication between those who run things and the individuals providing medical care. When touring the facility, we had a thorough discussion about our family member's health concerns with the administrator. We were reassured that these issues wouldn't pose a problem. However, just days before he was set to move in, we were informed during an official review that he wasn't suited for assisted living and instead should go to the memory care unit. He does have mild dementia, but currently, he's the most active individual in that section, leaving him with no peers to interact with. Although the director has suggested a possible revisit of his placement and a potential move back to assisted living, the caretaking staff assures us they haven't been informed of any changes. Having experience in senior care and memory care, I've attempted to offer some ideas to make his life in memory care more enjoyable, given his alertness. However, there seemes to be no interest in implementing these suggestions. Altogether, it's been a exasperating ordeal.

"Great place for active people, not for complainers"
This place is big and has lots of activities. It's perfect for someone who is still very active. It's close to the doctor's office, but it's not right for my family member who complains a lot. She would just upset everyone here. The staff are super friendly, and I would love to live here, but definitely not my mother-in-law.
