Bring only agreeable patients to this community. They struggle with those who say no and don't want to be here. The staff does their best with what they have.

"Poor service and cleanliness at assisted living facility."
My family member didn't receive proper care at this place. We had to move them out because our experience was so bad. I definitely wouldn't suggest that you let your family member stay in this place. The whole place was pretty dirty. The people who worked there didn't seem to really pay attention to the residents in the way that I had hoped they would. My family member's clothing was often wrong and they didn't clean them up well enough. Stuff would even go missing sometimes, including clothes. We were asked to buy supplies and even then, they weren't always given to my family member when they should have been. They also didn't have enough workers at this place.

"Friendly Assisted Living Community with Private Rooms, Recommended Post-Covid"
It's a nice community where everyone has their own room and privacy. The staff is really friendly, and I think others would like this place once Covid is better controlled.

"Unforeseen Costs and Poor Communication at Brookdale"
When we first set up our mom, who's 91 and has a heart condition and dementia, in Brookdale, it felt okay. But, soon after, their nurse told us to arrange for Hospice Services for our mom. Not long after, the Hospice nurse made it clear that we needed to move mom to a nursing home right away. The head of Brookdale wasn't happy about this and afterward, we got three separate bills totaling $7,017.66, which was for just 12 days. We talked to the manager, who said that it's normal for Brookdale to charge an extra two weeks for Personal Care on top of the Basic Rate when a resident leaves. They never mentioned this extra fee to us. We have the bills and a letter from a doctor that says mom had to go to a nursing home.

"Excellent Care and Community at Brookdale Clearlake"
Brookdale Clearlake is a really nice place. My mom is getting comfortable there. We looked at a few places, but this one stood out because the staff really talks and listens to the people living there. They pay attention to what my mom needs. She thinks the food is okay, not as good as what she cooked at home, though. Right now, there aren't many activities because the person who plans them is sick. Still, we would tell others to check out Brookdale Clearlake.

"Great care and cheerful staff, perfect for mom."
What impressed me most was their level of care. They have the highest number of staff compared to other places around here. It was the only place in Clear Lake that felt right for my mom. The staff is always prompt and positive, and everyone seems so cheerful when you walk in.

"Great Care and Value at This Community"
I like this place because of the excellent care my mom gets. She enjoys the variety of meals, likes the friendly staff, and appreciates how clean the community is. She also enjoys joining in activities with other residents. We would definitely recommend this place for its care and value to other families.

This place takes great care of my mom. It’s always clean and well-kept. The staff is friendly and really cares about her. The food is tasty with lots of choices. They have activities she can join, and she loves being social. We would recommend this place to other families.

My mom says the food is bland. More social people wanted. No issues with cleanliness; housekeeping keeps everything tidy. Lots of activities available. I think she's safe and would suggest this place.

"Residents’ Care is Their Top Priority"
Brookdale Clearlake is doing great. The whole staff, from nursing to marketing and sales, works really well as a team. The nurses don’t avoid any tasks, and I’m really impressed by that. It really seems like their number one goal is to take care of the residents.

"Fantastic Care but Financial Staff Needs Improvement"
Brookdale Clearlake is very clean. The care my mother gets is great. However, the financial staff are not very good. It's been a struggle for us. They need to be more organized. This is definitely an area that needs a lot of improvement. Besides that, the care is wonderful. The staff are always very attentive. When we visit, they always give us updates. They seem to know her living habits well. The staff at this facility are just fabulous.

"Amazing place! Mom is so happy!"
They’ve done an amazing job at Emeritus at Orchard Park! I’d give them a 10 out of 5 if I could! The staff are super friendly, professional, and really care. They let you know right away if anything happens and keep you updated about your loved one’s care. And Mom absolutely loves it! She was so excited about moving here, which made me feel so much better! I would recommend them to anyone looking for senior care. They are a great place!

"Disappointing Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
We didn't like this place much. They didn't have many fun things for the people with memory problems, and it seemed like my family member just sat there most of the time, not really paying attention. We moved her to another place eventually. But then, after she left, we had some trouble with their billing. They kept sending us bills even though she wasn't there anymore. It took a long time to talk to someone about it, and they didn't call us to fix it, we had to keep calling them.

"Disappointing Experience and Billing Issues"
Our time at this senior home was disappointing. They didn't offer many, or any, activities for those needing memory care. It seemed like my family member spent too much time idle, without focus. We ultimately moved her to a different senior home. After we moved her out, we faced challenges with their billing. We were still receiving bills for months even though she was no longer living there. It took us over a week to get in touch with someone from the home to sort it out. They never came forward to reach us, we were the ones constantly calling to address the issue.

We're really happy with the staff and the whole environment. You're treated with respect, dignity, and love. The staff is the best I've ever seen. It's a wonderful place for my aunt, and I'd even live here myself.
