"Challenges at Brookdale Murrieta Assisted Living"
We’ve run into quite a few problems at Brookdale Murrieta. The folks who help you move in are friendly, but they don’t really know how to take care of someone who needs a lot of help and can’t move around without a wheelchair. They didn’t tell us all the costs right away, and not everyone on the cleaning team knows how to change the sheets. They left dirty sheets on the bed and just put clean ones on top. Now, I have to change the sheets and wash clothes for my family member. They keep forgetting to schedule her for baths. I’ve heard other places are even worse and cost more. Sometimes, they don’t have a nurse on duty, and they made my family member give herself insulin shots even though she’s never done it before. They serve her food cold or leave it in the kitchen where she can’t reach it. I go there every night to make sure she has what she needs because they don’t take care of it. They said they would provide toilet paper, but they don’t, so I bring all the paper products myself. At this point, I’m really upset. There’s a lot of staff coming and going, which is not good, and they hint that we should give extra money to the staff during the holidays, as if we’re not already paying enough. I wonder where all the money we pay is going if it’s not for the staff’s salaries. They don’t have enough people working, so sometimes it takes two hours for someone to come if you need help. My family member was once stuck in the bathroom, and nobody came to help. Thankfully, I got there after work to help her out. She sometimes gets too weak to walk back to bed on her own. Just this morning, I had to show their medical tech how to use her new blood sugar monitor. If your parent can’t get out of bed and needs oxygen, this place doesn’t have the right staff, and it’s tough to get things fixed.

"Concerns with Director and Fee Increase Impact Assisted Living Facility"
Most of the staff are nice, but not the director. Recently, they raised fees by 13%. That's too much, and some people moved out because of it. There are things they could do better, but right now we're worried about the director and the money.

"Dedicated Staff and Timely Care in Assisted Living Facility"
The workers here are excellent—professional, caring, and respectful to everyone. They handle medications promptly and use a good system to keep track of everything. Like many places, they could use more staff. But even short-staffed, they won't keep anyone who doesn't meet their high standards. They're committed to hiring the right people to care for residents.

"Assisted Living Facility Falls Short on Individualized Care"
I think they needed more staff for my husband's care. It wasn't the right fit because he needed more personal attention promised at sign-up but not received. No showers during his stay, which was disappointing. Some staff were nice, but others seemed indifferent. Not recommended for high-needs loved ones.

"Mixed Feelings about Brookdale Murrieta"
Brookdale Murrieta is a nice place where people are friendly, but it's too expensive. Even though my loved one can't enjoy the amenities, I'm still paying for them. There are only 6 spots for visitors to park, and they take up two of them with a shuttle van and the executive director's car. This leaves almost no parking nearby, and it's especially tough for people in wheelchairs who have to park far away.

"Lovely staff and facility, not ideal for my mom."
The people who worked there were very nice, and we thought the place looked nice, too. But it didn't quite suit my mom.

"Clean, Friendly Assisted Living"
The place is really clean, but I wish they'd clean the rooms more often. The staff is super nice and does a great job. I'd tell others to check it out.

"Misleading Fees and Poor Communication at Assisted Living Facility"
The place looks nice and the staff seems nice too, but they charge way too much for everything. My mom has been there for months now, and every little thing costs a lot of money. They said they'd take care of stuff, but they don't do it, and they don't talk to each other either. They said they'd lower the fees after a month, but they didn't. My mom can do a lot of things on her own, but they still charge her for services she doesn't even get. When we try to get answers, they just avoid us. It's really not fair for the elderly people who live there.

"Great care, activities, and value at Brookdale Murrieta"
My 94-year-old mom has lived at Brookdale Murrieta for about two years, and they take great care of her. The food is good, with room service available when needed. There are plenty of activities, like Bingo, arts and crafts, computer and phone lessons, movies, shopping trips, music, holiday meals, exercise classes, and more. Residents might wish they were still young and independent, but from my experience with my late father's care, Brookdale is a great place for adults who need assistance and is also reasonably priced.

"Personalized Care and Active Lifestyle at Brookdale Assisted Living"
My dad moved into Brookdale. He's doing great because it's smaller than his old place, and his room is closer to the entrance, so they check on him more. He's 86 and has gained 7 pounds since arriving in December, so he must be eating well. He joins most activities at the center, which keeps him busy and sharp in body and mind.

"A Great Place for Healthier Seniors"
I didn't notice anything bad here, and it's great for seniors who are doing well. They have more things available that my parent wouldn't be able to use.

"Very nice facility, helpful for adjusting."
We just used it for respite care, but it's a very nice facility. The room was near the nurse's station, which was very helpful for adjusting.

"Pricey assisted living with just okay studios, lacking balconies"
There's no balcony and only decent studios and one-bedroom apartments here. It's expensive.

"Clean and Organized, but Expensive"
Brookdale Murrieta is an assisted living place, but we were hoping for something else for my loved one. On my tour, they told us about the activities they offer and their services. The guide answered my questions. Overall, I thought the place was clean and well-organized, but the price was high.

"Friendly Staff and Great Meals!"
One thing I liked about this place was how friendly the staff are. My friend lives here now and is doing okay. She isn't joining in the activities yet, but they have lots of options for residents. The meals have a wide variety, which is great. I would definitely recommend this place. It's clean, and the people are really attentive.

"Great Experience, But Needs Better Dining Habits Encouragement"
We used Brookdale for respite care for my husband, and his experience was pretty good. He made friends he enjoyed meals with and really liked the food. One thing that did concern me is that he eats with his fingers since coming home, which showed me that the staff didn’t encourage him to use silverware. The community is very clean, and I will use them again if needed.

"Good care, but response time could be faster."
They do a good job keeping things clean and taking care of everything. I feel like they could respond a little quicker to patients. For my aunt, since she can't move on her own, they don’t take her on the bus, which I wish they would.

"Warm Staff, Some Room for Improvement"
We really like Brookdale Murrieta. The people who work there are super nice. But sometimes they forget to clean my grandma's room. And it would be nice if they had more stuff for her to do. Apart from those things, everything is going great with them.

"Top-Notch Place"
Chancellor stands out among other properties. Mom has been there for four nights, and they’re taking care of all her needs. They even escort her during the first week to help her get familiar with the building and amenities. The food is great, and Mom no longer has to worry about her meals. The studio was spotless when we moved in. The friendly residents are active and engaging. Staff members greet us warmly, and it feels like a welcoming community. Overall, it has exceeded our expectations.

"Great Location and Friendly Staff"
If we had gone to the Murrieta area, we probably would have chosen this place. It was really nice. The apartments were nice. The environment was really nice. Everything was clean. The staff was very friendly. The price was about $1000 less than the place we ended up choosing. It was close to a little strip mall with a drug store, a hair salon, and a couple of restaurants - that was nice.

"Wonderful care and kindness at Chancellor Place, thanks Natalie!"
Chancellor Place has been great! They’ve been very kind and thoughtful with my mom. Even though she’s fully aware, they’re also very nice to other residents who may need more help. I’m very grateful to Natalie for all her support! Sincerely, Carol Jacques Daughter

"Very Happy with Their Care"
My aunt and uncle haven't been there long, but so far, everything is going great. I know this kind of care is pricey, but they really pay attention and are always helpful and caring. If my aunt and uncle don't come down for meals, the staff checks on them. There are lots of activities, though my aunt and uncle haven't tried them yet. We're very happy and feel lucky. It's not for skilled nursing, so there might come a time when they can't stay. I wish they had different levels of care because the location is super convenient for me.

"Visited, Liked—Potential Home for Mom"
I visited this assisted living facility and really liked it. If my mom decides to live in California, I would definitely show her this place, as long as her medical status isn't dementia.

"Great Size and Excellent Services"
I liked the size of the facility. There's a doctor on site who makes house calls every day. They also have a podiatrist, dental hygienist, and hearing specialist, all covered by insurance. Residents go on field trips regularly at no extra cost. Besides the usual activities, there's a men's club, a breakfast club, tai chi, and ice cream socials on Mondays. Linens and bath towels are provided. Rent increases are about 3% to 4% each year.
