The place was alright, but we weren't happy with it overall.

"Assisted Living Community Excels in Care and Activities"
I think others should consider this community for their loved ones. It’s clear they really care about the residents. They offer outings, karaoke, art classes, live entertainment, and more activities for the residents to enjoy.

"Terrible Experience with Opaque Pricing and Covid Outbreak"
My experience was terrible as it feels like their main aim is just to milk money from the families who have seniors living there. They refuse to explain their bills and won't discuss why prices keep increasing. They aren't helpful at all and to top it all off, there was a big covid outbreak.

"Mixed Experience, Needs Improvement"
This place started off at one price, then raised it a lot. Services aren't as good as promised. Need more staff and better organization.

Complaints on Food Availabilit
"High Prices and Unfulfilled Expectations at Assisted Living Facility"
So you're thinking of having a meal with your loved one at this facility? It might leave a sour taste in your mouth. The meals here cost a steep $13.00. You may find that the dish you've set your heart on from their exciting posted menu is out of stock. For example, you might order the Tilapia or the lemon butter broccoli, only to find out that they've run out. And this is just one-minute into their dinner service which starts at 4:30 p.m. How can they run out of food that fast? Not cool. It seems like your only option is to choose from less healthy, less appealing dishes. And the serving sizes? They’re disappointingly small. One might start to think that maybe the staff is secretly enjoying these dishes themselves. Can't blame you for thinking that! So if you plan on dining with your loved one here, do yourself a favor and go into the kitchen to check if what you want is even available before shelling out your money. This way, you can dodge the disappointment. Oh, and watch out for the butternut squash...some of it was hard and couldn't be eaten.

"Clean and friendly, but not the best fit for Mom."
I went to visit Brookdale Napa while looking for a place for my mom. The place was neat and all the people were nice. It was alright, but it wasn't exactly what my mom needed.

"Inadequate but Best Care Facility in Napa"
My family members reside at Brookdale Napa. It's fair to say they're doing okay, considering everything. From my perspective, Brookdale Napa is probably the pick of a bad lot, as assisted living facilities in the area don't impress me much. Just like anywhere else, there's a mix of good and bad employees. Unfortunately, we've come across a few that displayed poor attitudes and neglect in their care, even to the point of my loved one's safety. Also, when my family member needed to use the bathroom, she was told to wait until bedtime, which is absurd. On top of it all, the billing has been ongoing issue. On the bright side, they generally treat my family with respect and kindness, and they seem to like it there. Sure, it's not like home, but it's better than any other option we explored.

"I’d recommend this community."
Mom is getting used to living at Brookdale. The staff is friendly, helpful, and we talk well. I worry about security because people don’t always sign in and out when they visit. Mom stays active in the memory care unit, and the place is clean. The food is good.

"Mom Always Sent to Memory Care with Dementia Diagnosis"
Mom would always go to memory care if she had dementia, no matter how severe it was or how much she could still do on her own.

"Great care and activities for mom!"
My mom enjoys the activities at Brookdale Napa. She lives in the memory care unit, where the staff is really friendly and pays a lot of attention to the residents. The place is very clean and well-maintained. I haven’t tried the food, but my mom thinks it's around a 3 out of 5. My advisor from A Place for Mom was nice and helpful.

"Atria Del Rey: Clean, friendly, and full of activities"
Atria Del Rey is a really good community. The place is clean, the meals are good, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great activities director who keeps a full schedule of activities like weekly outings, crafts, and games. My mother seems to be settling in nicely here. I would definitely recommend Atria to others.

"Not Really Pleased with Brookdale Napa's Service"
I don't quite love Brookdale Napa's assisted living home. It's not as clean as I think it should be. My friend has a weak immune system, and they could really do better in order to keep him from getting sick. They wash his clothes every week, and once I saw grease stains on his new sheets. That tells me they're not careful enough. Plus, he's one of their younger residents and they serve dinner really early. A few times, if you're not there by 5:30, you just get a sandwich, not a hot dinner. He used to be healthy, but after some strokes, he's lost weight. He needs to eat enough at each meal. The food is just alright, and not enough. They don't serve enough fresh vegetables. Their front desk is often not fully staffed. I tell them to call me back, but they never do. I wouldn't ever want him to live here. We picked this place because it's near a good hospital, it has a wellness center, and he worked nearby in the past. If there was another good place nearby, I'd move him there.
