"Safe and Convenient Assisted Living with Transportation"
Some days are better, and breakfast is my favorite meal. Even though the cost recently went up by 10%, I still find it worthwhile. I'm doing well here, but I hope for some changes—maybe even some changes in myself. They check on us daily to keep us safe, especially since I'm in independent living. Plus, they provide transportation for doctor's appointments, which is a big help.

"Mixed Experience at Assisted Living Facility"
My family member didn't enjoy the food much. Some staff were great, others not so much. I suggest looking elsewhere based on our experience. The reality didn't match what we were told during the tour. They didn't check on my loved one as promised. They're reactive rather than proactive, understaffed, and not transparent about COVID.

"Check the Place First, But Great Community Overall"
I would tell others to make sure to walk through before choosing an apartment. I didn't do that, and when I moved in, some things needed fixing. At first, I didn't like the food, but there's a new chef now and it's getting better. The residents really love the activities here. I am enjoying my stay and am really happy with the people I've met so far.

"Spotless, attentive staff, great food, and excellent value."
My dad lived in the Memory Care facility, and my mom now lives in Independent Living in the Cottages. The whole property is spotless! The staff are very nice and attentive. The food is great, and there are lots of activities for everyone. The value is excellent with spacious living, restaurant-style meals, and beautiful surroundings. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to live in El Dorado County!

"Terrible Care at Brookdale, Recommend Against Sending Loved Ones There"
I wouldn't suggest sending anyone to Brookdale at Jensen Beach. Even though the staff was friendly, they didn't have enough workers and hardly held any activities. Mostly, it seemed like everyone just settled in their wheelchairs all day. This included my mom who they immediately put in a wheelchair despite her using a walker before. On her first night there, my mom fell which led to an emergency room visit. My mom was at high risk of falling which they clearly didn't handle well. She fell four times all in all and these falls eventually led to her passing away only after 10 weeks of staying there. Please don't let your loved one go there. They seriously need to close down their memory care facility. Alexandra Weldon Scott

"A Promising Place for Potential Residents"
I visited Brookdale RWC with my parents and sister. We want to go back for a meal and maybe an event or class. It seems like a place they might want to live.
