"Convenient Living with On-Site Support for Different Needs"

My parents found this place great because it's independent but also has a health agency right there. It's a good community if you need help with everyday things like food, laundry, and cleaning. The apartments are also really nice.

"Mixed Feelings on Cogir of Vacaville Senior Living"

My family member lives at Cogir of Vacaville Senior Living. Overall, it's been pretty good. The staff is nice, and the building looks nice too. Everyone is friendly. But, the food and how much you pay for it aren't that good. Most of the other people there just complain about those two things. I'd say to check out Cogir of Vacaville if you have the money and aren't too picky about food.

"Convenient and Comfortable Assisted Living with Room for Improvement"

This community doesn't require a fee upfront, and I can do month-to-month contracts. The staff are really helpful when I have questions or concerns. Maintenance comes quickly when something needs fixing. They really go out of their way to help us residents. It's a nice place to live. It would be great for someone in their late 70s to early 80s to move into. They have updated the community with modern touches, like vinyl plank flooring, which looks really nice. They're doing a lot of repairs to the outside of the community. There are no bad smells here, and it's always clean and smells good. Sometimes the food isn't quite right. Breakfast is always good when I have it. Some residents say the food can be too salty or the meat can be tough. But there are other things on the menu to choose from. Residents can use free wi-fi here, and there's basic cable for watching TV.

"Mixed Feelings About Meals and Lockdown"

This place is worth considering for your loved one. They had a lockdown due to COVID cases, and my mom wasn't thrilled about the meal changes and missing a few.

"Great Place for Independent Living with Friendly Staff and Fun Activities"

I chose this place because my Aunt lives here, and I knew it was nice. The homes around the facility are for people 55+ so there are no kids running around, and it's not a busy area. It feels like the country but is close to the city with all the amenities. The staff is very kind; they actually talk to you when you walk down the hall. They ask if anything is wrong or if you have any complaints, and they fix issues right away. When I moved my Father in, the bookkeeper said I could eat with him for free, and they helped us hang his pictures the next day. This was great because it was less hassle for me. My Dad has a button for help if he needs anything or even if he falls. He feels much safer here than in his big house. He still has his own private life but knows help is always around. He also has a key to the doors so he can come back in if he's out late. The rooms are unfurnished, which is nice because we can make it feel like home with his own things. There's someone who comes in once a week to clean, and every Wednesday, you can put laundry in the hall, and it's returned that afternoon. The kitchen has a stove and full-sized fridge, but no oven or microwave. There's plenty of storage and even a balcony. The facility is very clean and feels like home. There's no dust or mess. There's a beautiful courtyard with a big veranda and trees along the walking path. My Dad thinks the food portions can be small, but he can always ask for more. The dining room is open from 7 AM to 7 PM with 3 meals a day and lots of choices. There are snacks like fruit, baked goods, coffee, tea, and water available all day. They have lots of activities like pool tables, bingo, card games, puzzles, music, Sunday brunches, and dance nights. A bus takes you to doctor appointments, Walmart, the mall, or the bank. Once a month, they go to the casino or a restaurant. I highly recommend this facility.

"Friendly Staff and Freedom Make Living Here Great!"

I told my friend about how great this community is. I convinced her to tour it, and she's happy she did. She loves her apartment and enjoys the freedom to come and go as she pleases. She's starting to socialize more, especially at dinner in the dining area, and she's making friends. Sometimes she even plays bingo. The staff is really nice and encourages everyone to join in.

"Overworked Employees, Money-Centric Management and Lack Of Care For Residents"

The corporation is just terrible. It's plain to see that all they really care about is making bucks. They don't even give a second thought for the workers, who are the real reason the company can even operate. Employees are being worked to the bone, paid so little, and there aren't enough of them around, which means less care for the residents. It's absolutely revolting and the high-ups should feel deeply embarrassed!
