"Warm and welcoming place for loved ones with attentive staff."
My family member stays at Cadence Millbrae in the Memory Care area. The place is really friendly and easy to talk to. The people who take care of the residents are wonderful—they pay attention and keep us informed. The food is alright. I think Cadence Millbrae is worth looking into to see if it suits your family member.

"Cadence: A Beautiful and Calming Assisted Living Facility"
Overall, it's a good place. They take good care of my friend and others like him. The building is newly renovated and beautiful inside and out. It's spacious, clean, and has a calming atmosphere. There's a big TV screen for everyone to enjoy. The staff brought cookies for the residents when I was there the other day. The staff seems fine overall. Sometimes, I can smell urine in the hallways, though. And the cost is very high, more than we expected. But overall, those are minor things. After looking at other places, Cadence is a good choice.

"Disappointing Visit to Assisted Living Facility"
We visited this place, and it looked nice. But we wanted to see the memory care unit, and they wouldn't let us. They didn't explain why. Also, it cost more than other places nearby.

"Understaffed Care Services, Mediocre Assistance at Assisted Living Facility"
The help they give is just okay, nothing special. They don’t have enough staff.

"Affordable Assisted Living with Average Facilities"
This place was once called Greenhills Marymount, where my folks lived. They've got nurses right there, which is awesome for when you need help. The price won't break the bank, but the place itself, like where you eat, could be better.

"They did not expect us"
The management was not in the facility and they did not expect us. Unfortunately we could not wait an additional 30 minutes for them to arrive for a tour.

"Old Facility with Promising Renovations!"
I really like the location, the fact that it's close to public transportation, the park, and the neighborhood. The facility is quite old, but that doesn't bother me since I'm independent. I'm optimistic that the promised renovations will turn it into an exceptional place. Plus, you can't beat the current price!

"Friendly staff and good care, but not the right fit"
We looked at a few different places, and this one seemed older than the others. The staff was very nice and helpful during the tour. The residents and their families looked comfortable there. They have medical staff on site all day and night, which is great. It just didn't feel like the right choice for my uncle.

"Older but caring community"
We visited several places, and this one seemed older than the others. The staff was very nice and helpful during the tour. The residents and their families looked comfortable there. They have medical staff available 24 hours a day, which is great. It just didn't feel like the right place for my uncle.

"Warning: Declining care quality at Marymount GreenHills assisted living."
This place has gotten worse over time. Good caregivers and nurses have been leaving. Inexperienced and uneducated staff remain, and even they are leaving now. Only a few caring people are left, but they are spread thin. The administrator left abruptly, and the replacement is only interested in money. This place isn't good at caring for elderly who need more attention. They neglect residents who need help with eating or cleaning. There's little mental stimulation or entertainment, especially for those in memory care. They don't even have a TV in the common room. Residents are overmedicated, making them like zombies. It's not a good place for loved ones. Maybe those with fewer needs would do better here, as there are friendly staff and a large dining room, but the food quality and menu need improvement. Staff aren't treated well by management lately.

"Marymount GreenHills: Not Ideal for Elderly Loved Ones"
Marymount GreenHills is showing signs of a steady decline. The most skilled nurses and caregivers have been quitting. The ones left behind lack adequate knowledge about elderly care. Unfortunately, they too are heading for the door. Although there are some compassionate staff members still around, they're spread too thin. The sudden departure of the latest director has created a big gap. The new individual in charge seems solely concerned with financial matters. This establishment isn't properly prepared to attend to seniors requiring extra care. If a resident ceases eating, that's not addressed urgently. If they need cleaning, it's postponed. Mental stimulation is largely limited; enjoyment activities have dwindled. Seniors in the memory care unit rarely venture outside their locked zone. They don't even have a TV in their shared space. They keep repeating the same DVDs. These unfortunate folks are generally left to gaze blankly at the walls or stay lying in their beds. Communication with them is sparse. The center relies excessively on medication, leaving these seniors in a near lifeless state. Whatever you do, don't trust Marymount GreenHills with your beloved senior family members or friends. They will likely deteriorate rapidly here. This place might be slightly better for those needing less assistance, who could potentially socialize with other inhabitants, and take advantage of the spacious dining room. However, the food menu and quality need enhancement. Although there are several nice people employed here, the management doesn't seem to value them.

"Memory Unit Lacks Independent Outdoor Access"
The place is okay, rooms look nice, but no way for memory unit folks to go outside alone. They need an escort to the courtyard.

"Affordable, but Mom's unsure. Maybe more info will convince her."
I really liked it, but my mom thinks it's too expensive. Maybe if she finds out more about it, she'll change her mind. It's a great place.

"Friendly, Comfortable, and Supportive Community"
Marymount Greenhills is a really friendly place. The staff and residents are kind and helpful. My apartment is cozy, and housekeeping comes every day to change the towels and make the bed. They also clean the bathroom and kitchen, wash any dishes, and change the bed linen at least once a week. They also vacuum. The meals are healthy and taste great. There are lots of activities you can join if you want to, but it’s totally up to you. I’m at a level 1 and need some help, which is available. If I need more help later on, I know it will be there for me. I feel very comfortable and happy living here.

"Transition issues and lack of activities"
The only complaint I have is that there isn't a smooth transition when you first move in. There’s no system to ensure new residents get their medications, and no one seemed to have answers. My mom also wishes there were more activities, like arts and crafts, which she would enjoy.

"Convenient Location with Bright Building and Parking, Plus Meal Option"
This place is in a good spot with many shops nearby and it's nice for walking around. Building 2 is nicer and brighter than the others. There's parking outside which is handy. It's close to the train and BART, and Kaiser in South San Francisco. They include one meal a day in the fee.

"Impressive Assisted Living Center"
Wes showed me around this amazing center. It has everything an active resident would want. The tenants I saw appeared content and busy. The Director mentioned at least three Filipino tenants my Dad could possibly befriend. The price is very reasonable for what you get, and the staff seemed really enthusiastic about their work. I'd definitely consider this place if my Dad can connect with fellow Filipinos.

"Professional, elegant, roomy; more services, $500 deposit, clear answers."
Very professional. The surroundings are elegant, and the respite room is quite roomy with one bedroom. They offered more services for the quoted price, including hourly checks due to fall risk. There is an additional $500 nonrefundable deposit. They knew all requirements for TB and medical forms, which are valid for 6 months. They answered all my questions.
